Magnetic sound recording and reproducing device The present invention relates to a magnetic sound recording and reproducing device of the type in which the sound is supported on a flexible support such as tape, wire or the like, hereinafter referred to as Denotes tape that is wound on reels, recorded.
Devices of this type are usually designed in such a way that a desired one of four different operating modes can be selected, namely recording mode, in which the tape is first moved over the erase head and then over the record head at low speed, and Playback mode in which the tape is pulled over the playback head by the feed roller at the same speed but without touching the erase head, furthermore fast forward,
wherein the tape touches neither the playback nor the erase head and moves forward at high speed, and fast reverse, wherein the tape touches neither the erase nor the playback head and is moved at high speed in the opposite direction.
The present invention aims to provide a recording and reproducing device of this type with an improved mechanism for driving and guiding the tape as it runs beyond the recording and erasing heads. The inventive magnetic sound recording and reproducing device is equipped with a base plate and with pivotably angeord netem control arm at one end of the base plate, with pressing means arranged at the free end of the control arm, a pivot arm pivotably arranged at one end of the base plate and with one at the free end the rotating arm rotatably arranged role.
The device is characterized in that the two arms are arranged one above the other and their free ends extend in opposite directions and that the two arms are equipped with resilient means which allow an angular movement of the rotary arm in a working position of the role and a To bring the tape with the feed roller in touch tion, the angular movement of the rotary arm causing an angular movement of the control arm into a working position, in which position the pressing means bring the tape into touch with at least one guide.
The invention is explained in more detail below in a preferred exemplary embodiment with reference to FIGS. 1 shows a perspective view of the magnetic sound recording and playback device, FIG. 2 shows a plan view of the part of the upper side of the base plate carrying the tape guide, in the rest position of the mechanism, FIG. 3 shows a plan similar to FIG Position recording of the mechanism, Fig. 4 a floor plan similar to Fig. 2 in the playing position of the mechanism,
FIG. 5 shows a side view of the base plate with the tape guide without the reels, FIG. 6 shows a perspective view of the erasing head of the device.
On the back of the base plate a take-up reel 10 and a return reel 11 is rotatably attached, a tape 13 'from the reel 10 and on the reel 11 runs. The piece of tape between the reels 10 and 11 runs one after the other over a first guide roller 14 past an erase head 15 and a transducer head 16; via a feed roller 17 and a second guide roller 18. The guide rollers 14, 18 are fixedly mounted in the base plate 12 and provided with recessed annular grooves 14 ', 18' in the middle, the width of which corresponds to the tape width and through which the stand of the tape is determined by the base plate 12 and complied with.
On the underside of the base plate 12, a transverse control plate 19 is arranged, the right end of which is provided with a slot 20 having the shape of a truncated V, the apex of which, as shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, is directed to the right. An operating lever 21 protrudes through the slot 20 and through an opening 22 in the base plate 12, the lower end of the lever 21 being loosely mounted in the opening of a cross rail 23 attached to the base plate.
The lower end of the lever 21 has a broad-edged head 24 which is pressed by a spring 25 between the top of the cross rail 23 and a stop 26 on the lever 21 against the underside of the cross rail 23. The opening 22 is formed by two intersecting slots, so that the operating lever 21 from its central position to the left in the recording position (Fig. 3), to the right in the Ab position (Fig. 4), to play backwards in the Fast forward position and forward to the fast reverse position.
The lever 21 can be locked in each of these four positions by latching it into the notches 27 provided at the ends of the seat heald. In its central position, the lever 21 protrudes through the apex of the V-shaped slot 20, and each adjustment of the lever 21 to the right, up or down causes a displacement of the control plate 19 to the right. Only a movement of the lever 21 to the left results in a displacement of the control plate 19 to the left. But since the slot 20 has the shape of a truncated V, when the lever 21 is moved forward and backward, the shift of the control plate 19 to the right is much less large than when the lever is moved to the right.
The erase head 15 consists of a bar magnet 28 (Figure 6), the angles between the legs of an upright U-shaped pro filstückes 29 is arranged. The profile piece 29 is directed with its open side to the rear, attached to an arm 30, the left end of which is rotatably mounted on the guide roller 14. The arm 30 slides on the base plate 12 and at its free end has a downwardly directed pin 31 which protrudes through a sector-shaped slot 32 in the base plate 12 and through a slot 33 in the control plate 19.
The left part of the slot 3'3 in the control plate 19 runs parallel to its direction of displacement, while the left part of the slot 33 runs obliquely towards the front edge of the control plate 19. Therefore, the arm 30 with the erase head remains in its rear position of rest when the control plate 19 is moved from its central rest position to the right. However, when the control plate 19 is displaced to the left from its central position, the arm 30 makes a clockwise pivoting movement and brings the erasing head 15 into its front position.
The front side 34 of the profile piece 29 forms the effective surface of the erase head 15 and is provided with a slot 35 which runs obliquely over the same from bottom to top, so also relative to the surface of a tape slide over this surface 34 of the erase head 15, whereby the magnetic stray flux across the slot 3.5 causes the magnetic neutralization of the tape.
The feed roller 1'7 is driven at a constant speed by an electric motor attached to the underside of the base plate 12. The lower end of the feed roller 17 carries a large momentum = wheel 3, 6, which is rotatably fastened to the cross rail 23, while the thin spindle-shaped feed roller 17 is held in a bearing 37 protruding through the Ctrund plate 12.
The front of the bearing 37 is removed above the base plate 12, so that the feed roller 17 is exposed.
A pivot arm 38 is pivotably mounted on the pivot 39 above the base plate 12 at a distance determined by the washer 40. A snap ring 41 in an annular groove in the pivot 3'9 secures the pivot arm 38 on the same. The right end of the rotary arm is provided with an upward ra lowing pin 42, which serves as the axis of rotation for a roller 43. The spacer 44 determines the distance of the roller 43, which is secured with the snap ring 45 at the upper end of the pin 42, from the arm 38 in such a way that the periphery of the cylindrical roller 43, when the arm 38 pivots backwards about the pivot 39, presses against the free part of the feed roller 17.
A control arm 46 arranged between the pivot arm 38 and the base plate 12 is pivotably attached at its right end to the pivot pin 47 mounted on the base plate 12. A disc 48 is also arranged on the pivot pin 47 at a certain distance from the control arm 46, which ensures that the free end of the pivot arm 38 contacts the control arm 46. The rear edge of the control arm 46 is provided with an upwardly extending tongue 49, which rests against a circular arc-shaped Teif 50 of the rear edge of the rotary arm 38, while a tab 51 protruding upward at the front edge of the control arm 46 with an adjusting screw 52 touches the front of a steel leaf spring 53, which in turn is attached to the pivot arm 38.
A marked with 54 incision in the front edge of the rotary arm 38 opposite the tab 51 made light a rotation of the control arm 46 clockwise against the action of the leaf spring 53 when the pivoting movement of the rotary arm 3-8 counterclockwise due to the contact between the Roller 43 and the feed roller 17 is at an end. At an upwardly protruding bend 5.6 of the free end of the control arm 46, a leaf spring 55 made of steel is fastened in its center be, the ends of which on the rear side with the felt pads 57, 58 are provided.
These felt cushions 57, 58 are arranged in such a way that the cushion '57 presses against the annular groove 14 'of the guide roller 14 and the cushion 58 presses against the non-magnetic gap of the transducer head 16 as soon as the control arm 46 pivots clockwise into its operating position becomes. The control arm 46 is also provided with a between the transducer head 16 and the feed roller 17 projecting backwards the tab 59 on which a guide rail 60 is attached, which, when the control arm 46 is in its rest position, the tape 13 from the transducer head 16 distracts.
The rotary arm 38 and the control arm 46 are both in the direction of their rest position, namely on the front edge of the base plate 12-, biased by the tension spring -61, one end of which on the tongue 49 and the other end of a tab 62 on the Base plate 12 is attached. This tab 62 also serves as a front stop for the control arm 46.
The underside of the control arm 46 is provided with a pin 63 which projects through a circular arc-shaped slot 64 in the base plate 12 and through a V-shaped slot 65 in the control plate 19. The apex of the V-shaped slot 6'5 is directed towards the front derkante of the control plate 19, so that the displacement of the same from its central position to the left or right causes a swivel movement of the control arm 46 in a clockwise direction and as a result of the leaf spring 5 3 screw 52.
at the same time a pivoting movement of the rotary arm 38 in the counterclockwise direction results.
The lower end of the drive shafts for the reels 10 and 11 are equipped with braking plates 66 and 6'7, respectively. Across the base plate 12 extends on the underside of a brake arm 68, the ends of which are provided with brake shoes 69 and 70, which press on the brake plate 66, 67 when the brake arm 68 is pushed backwards. The brake arm H is attached to a brake bolt 71, which can be pushed back and forth over the underside of the control plate 19. The brake bar 71 is preloaded in the direction of its rearward position, in which the brake shoes 69, 7, 0 press on the brake plates 6'6, 67, by the spring 72, one end of which is on the base plate 12 and the other end of which is fastened to the brake bar 71 be.
The front edge of the brake bar 71 is provided with an upwardly projecting tongue 73 which engages in a V-shaped notch 74 in the front edge of the control plate 19. The flanks of the notch 74 are relatively steep, so that a slight shift of the control plate 19 to the left or right from its central position causes a forward movement of the brake bar 71 and the brake arm 68, so that the brake shoes 69, 70 release the brake plates 66, 67. The base plate 12 is provided with a slot 7'5 through which the tongue 73 of the brake bolt protrudes upwards and offers free space for its movement.
If the tape 13 is inserted in the device and the operating lever 21 is in its central position, then the individual parts of the mechanism are in the position shown in FIG. The roller 43 and the cushions 57, 58 are in their front rest position, the erase head 15 is located in its rear rest position, the brake shoes 69, 70 press on the brake plate 66 and 67 and the guide roller 60 causes the tape 13, runs neither over the erase head 15 nor over the transducer head 16. If the operating lever 21 is moved into the recording position, the mechanism ar processed in the manner described, and its individual parts assume the mutual position shown in FIG.
The tape 13 is pressed against the guide roller 14 and the transducer head 16 by means of the cushions 57, 58, while the effective surface of the erasing head 15, namely the surface 34 of its profile piece 29, on the path of the tape from the guide column 14 to the transducer head 16 is aligned. The guide roller 60 is located between the converter head 16 and the feed roller 17 and does not touch the belt 13, which is pressed firmly against the feed roller 17 by the roller 43, while the brake shoes 69, 70 are supported by the brake discs 66, 6 ' 7 are lifted.
If the operating lever 21 is moved into the play position, then the individual parts of the mechanism have the position shown in FIG. The tape 13 is pressed firmly against the feed roller 17 by the roller 43 and pressed against the guide roller 14 and the transducer head 16 by the cushions 57, 58, while the erase head 15 and the guide roller 60 are in their ineffective rearward position are, and the brake shoes 69, 70 from the brake plates 66, 67 are lifted.
If the operating lever 21 is moved to either the fast forward or fast reverse position, the control plate is moved a little to the right. This small Ver shift is sufficient to lift the brake shoes 69, 70 from the brake plates 6,6, 67, but causes no noticeable movement of the roller 43, the cushion 57, 58, the guide roller 60 and the erase head 15, the therefore all remain in the rest position shown in Figure 2, which corresponds to the central position of the lever 21.
The drive mechanism of the reels 10 and 11 is neither described in detail nor is shown, since it does not form part of the present invention. Preferably, however, it is designed in accordance with Patent No. 330885.
