Motorzug <I>von</I> Hand, <I>Motorzug</I> wagengesteuert, Handaufhebung <I>des</I> programmgesteuerten <I>Mo-</I> <I>torzuges,</I> Eintourenkupplung Fig. 10 zeigt die ständig vom Motor ge drehte Kupplungsscheibe 123.
Tabulierung <I>von Hand,</I> Tabulierung <I>motorisch</I> und Übersprung Fig. <I>11</I> Am Wagen sitzt die Vierkantstange 147 mit den Kolonnenreitern 148.
Computing office machine The invention relates to a computing office machine which z. B. can be designed as an adding machine, booking machine or booking machine.
To control all automatic Steuervorgä.nge in business machines, booking machines and the like, mechanical means are used, which must be designed in such a way that they correspond to the mechanical stress. This z. B. in booking machines usually interchangeably arranged in the paper trolley program controls, also called control bridges, control the respective functions by actuating levers. Control bridges and transmission media are subject to mechanical stress and thus wear and tear and consist of a large number of complex, interacting parts, for the creation of which considerable resources are required. It is costly to assemble and the many parts are prone to failure.
In addition, the transmission means cause annoying noise. After all, the changeover from one booking work to another involves the laborious process of replacing the control bridges, with the risk of damage or malfunction if carried out by laypeople.
Another shortcoming of known machines of this type is that the movement of the carriage with the platen is done by mechanical drives with annoying noise. The fact that the control bridge is built into the carriage and has to perform mechanical work requires the use of correspondingly powerful drive means (lead screw or tension spring), which again give rise to maintenance and malfunction.
In the case of existing machines of this type, the operating personnel also find the often high key presses to be a nuisance. It is the cause of premature fatigue and diseases (tendinitis).
In these machines, especially in booking machines with a platen, in which booking processes are printed on forms and the car jumps from column to column, a control bridge arranged in the car usually causes a control bridge arranged in the car by means of function tabs by means of mechanical actuation correspondingly arranged before directions for execution or initiation of processes as they refer to the booking process in the respective form column .ent.
The function of the transverse work is set in each case, as is the call to the storage units and other functions such as date printing, symbol printing, chart zero, character lock for the transverse unit or the storage unit or both together, triggering an automatic motor train, selection of the balance column, printing repetition, automatic register total or Between sum, non-writing, line feed, ver different locks, e.g.
B. the motor keys, the parking wagon with 10-key machines, vertical switching, possibly limited retraction of the wagon, blocking of the keyboard with excess credit, etc. If, for example, a booking machine contains forty functions that can be automatically controlled by the control bridge and each has several functions in a booking column are controlled, the control bridge has to overcome the sum of all resistances, so it must be designed in such a way that it can withstand this mechanical stress. The work to be done in this way must be carried out by the car or the organ pushing or pulling it, e.g. B. a correspondingly strong wagon train spring afford.
This carriage spring must be pulled up again when the carriage is withdrawn by a correspondingly strong retraction device who the, all moments that have an adverse effect in practice, for. B. due to the high cost of the necessary facilities, wear and tear of parts and noise.
Another disadvantage of existing booking machines is the cumbersome changeover from one booking work to another. This is done by changing the control bridge. There are machines that have four control bridges angeord net on a square, one of which is effective and the change is made by turning the square. This version has the disadvantage that only four different jobs can be preset. If there are more than four forms that are frequently required, the square must also be replaced.
Now the square can not be enlarged arbitrarily for spatial reasons, it also increases the weight of the apparatus contrary to the need to make the car as light as possible. On a narrow control bridge, however, not as many functions can be controlled or accommodated with simple tabs as in a wide control bridge. In order to remedy the inconvenience again, one has gone the way that riders of different heights were used, which act on a correspondingly more complicated mechanism so that different functions are triggered depending on the height of the rider or pivoting of the call lever.
According to the invention, the disadvantages described are avoided in that a flowable medium is used to call the control processes, functions and blocks. Appropriately, compressed or suction air comes into question as the flowable medium; If necessary, other flowing media, such as liquids, can also be used for the call. In all cases, you can only flexible conductive means such. B. tubes, hoses, which can easily be brought under in the machine room and take up little space. There is no need for a mechanical call device.
The car is significantly relieved if, instead of the usual control bridge, a flat or curved plate is used which is essentially free of elevations and serves to automatically control the flowable medium and participates in the car movement. In the case of a pneumatic or hydraulic call, this can be a perforated plate. Such a plate can also be changed considerably more easily when a change is to be made from one booking form to another. Instead of the perforated plate, the z. B. can be made of cardboard, a perforated belt can be used for automatic control, which combines several control schemes, which can be brought into action by transporting the tape over two same receiving rollers.
In addition to the other Steue tion of the flowable medium, manual control can also be provided, for. B. using buttons.
The Fig. 1,? and 3 show schematically a device corresponding to the invention Vorrich for the carriage retraction, namely Figure 1 in front view, Figure 2 is a section through the perforated plate and its support device. Fig. 1 shows schematically a paper carriage 1 with the platen 2, which can run back and forth on rollers or balls 3 on the ground carriage rails 4 between the end positions shown in dashed lines. The light trolley, relieved of the previous control bridge equipment, which is only the carrier of the forms to be printed and the tabulator, runs effortlessly back and forth on the trolley rails.
It is moved according to FIG. 1, for example, by a pneumatic device consisting of a vibrating arm 5 which is articulated to the carriage 1 via the connecting rod 6 and which act on the compressed air cylinder or bellows 7, 8. By hinge 9, the rod 10 is connected to the pivotable arm 5, which is connected at the other end by hinge 11 with the frame 12 and this moves on rollers 13 and rails 14 in synchronism with the carriage 1 and forth.
A perforated cardboard (perforated plate) 15 (FIGS. 1, 2 and 3) sits with fitting holes on fitting pins 16 of the frame 12 and is thus firmly connected to the frame.
During its back and forth movement, the perforated plate 15 slides over the sliding plate 17, on which it is held in tight contact by the pressure roller 18.
If the carriage 1 is to be moved to the right (carriage retraction), the left bellows 8 is filled with compressed air. Since the force of the carriage tension spring does not have to be overcome with this type of carriage drive, the drive force is correspondingly low. To move the carriage to the left, the right bellows 7 is under pressure. The compressed air is controlled through corresponding holes in the perforated plate 15 or the pneumatic valves controlled from there.
The scheme of this device is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 in two exemplary embodiments. In the first embodiment, the slide plate 17 includes a series of holes 20. Each hole has a specific function. Fig. 4 shows the operation of the first two holes intended for carriage movement. When the arm 5 moving the carriage has reached its left position 5 ', the perforated cardboard 15 has moved over the sliding plate 17 in such a way that a hole exposes the opening 20' (the second from the left).
A pipe 21 leads from this hole 20 'to the valve 22 in the box 23. The box 23 is under pressure. Four valves 22, 24, 25 and 26 are arranged in it. Each of these four valves covers a hole in the bottom of the box 23 with its lower sealing surface, so that air cannot escape anywhere. The two valves 22 and 24 are used to control the air flow alternately into the bellows 7 and 8 for the carriage movement. They each consist of a cylinder jacket made of thin, elastic material, which is closed at the ends with plates.
The upper plate 27 with a hole in the middle is tightly and firmly connected to the top wall of the box, while the lower plate 28 with a log device plate 29 made of leather or other suitable sealing material covers the hole 30 in the box wall. So that it can do this with the necessary safety under pressure, the same air pressure must also prevail in the interior of the cylinder space as in the box 23 itself. Air passes through the small nozzle 31 into the interior of the cylinder and the tube 32 leading to the sliding plate.
The perforated cardboard 15 resting on the sliding plate 17, which is weighted by the grooved pressure roller 18, covers the holes with its uninterrupted points. The air pressure inside and outside is the same in the valve cylinder, so that the lower plate 28 is pressed firmly onto the lower hole 30 and no air can flow out. If the moving perforated cardboard 15 releases the opening in the sliding plate 17 through a hole, the compressed air escapes e.g. from the tube 21 and thus from the valve cylinder 22. The air flowing in through the narrow nozzle 31 remains ineffective as long as the relatively large hole in the sliding plate remains open.
A vacuum is created in the valve cylinder. The pressure in the box 23 pushes in the thin, flexible cylinder wall from the outside and thus shortens the cylinder length, so that the lower plate 28 is torn up. On the plate 28, the lower sealing plate 34 hangs on a rod 33 and now comes to seal against the underside of the hole 30. The hole 30 is now open at the top and closed at the bottom. The compressed air from the box 23 flows in the direction of the arrow through the lateral channel 35 into the two small bellows 36 and 37. These flap up and keep the valve 22 and the large valve 25 in the position shown in broken lines.
As a result, the compressed air flows through the channel 38 into the bellows 8 via valve 25; the carriage moves to the right. A pipe 39 branches off from the channel 38 to the valve 26, so that this releases the air from the bellows 7 through the hole in the valve 26, which is open at the bottom. The perforated plate is also withdrawn with the carriage. The hole 20 'in the sliding plate is closed during the return movement of the perforated plate 15, air flows through the nozzle 31 into the interior of the pipe 21 and the valve cylinder 22, but cannot change anything, because the stronger bellows 36 is still under pressure and leaves that Valve does not close.
Only when the carriage is withdrawn so far that the first opening and thus the pipe 32 is vented through a hole in the perforated cardboard, the valve 24 lifts, air now flows through the pipe 40 into the bellows 41. This bellows ventilates against the effect the spring 42 opens the opening 43 by pivoting the flap 44 sealing the bottom of the bellows 36. As a result, the valves 22 and 25 fall back, block the air supply to the bellows 8 and let the air go outside. The pressure also disappears from pipe 39, valve 26 is torn up and now releases air through duct 45 into bellows 7 until the counter-pulse occurs through a hole in perforated plate 15 in the manner described.
A second embodiment of the pneumatic system is shown in FIG. The two holes 20 and 20 'in the slide plate 17 control the to-and-fro movement of the carriage in the following manner. In a valve box 46, the two valves 47 and 48 of the type described are arranged. They cooperate with the sliding plate 17 through the tubes 49 and 50. If tube 49 is released through a hole in the perforated plate, valve 4 7 responds. Air flows through tube 51 into the bellows 52. This moves the slide 53 into the position shown in broken lines. This slide controls the channels of the plate 55 under the pressure of the spring 54.
It directs the compressed air coming from pipe 56 from duct 57, as the dashed arrow shows, via duct 58 into bellows 8, until pipe 50 comes into congruence with a hole in the perforated plate so that it is vented, valve 48 . responds, sends air through the channel 59 in the bellows 60 and this pushes the slide 53 back (fully drawn position). The air then exits from bellows 8, while compressed air flows from 57 into duct 61 and thus into bellows 7.
This device is simpler, but requires maintenance by lubricating the slide surface, while the pneumatics according to FIG. 4, in which no sliding friction occurs, but only sealing flaps are opened or closed, no lubrication and maintenance is required.
The device described so far is used to carry out the carriage movement and its control through a perforated plate, which of course must correspond to the desired booking form. A change from the perforated plate is done in the simplest manner in such a way that after lifting the pressure roller 18, the perforated plate 15 is lifted from the dowel pins 16 on the frame 12 and replaced by another. According to Fig. 3, the device can be met in such a way that all the perforated plates in question as a band switched one behind the other ge and wound on roller 62, from which they are unwound on the roller 63.
The respective desired plate is brought into the working position by rotating the roller 63 after a plate moving device running synchronously back and forth with the carriage has been released.
In addition to the two holes described for switching the carriage retraction on and off, the slide plate contains a more or less large number of openings for controlling all automatic functions, which basically act in the manner shown schematically in FIG. A pipe 64 goes from the slide plate 17 to the valve 65 of the pressurized box 66. The valve 65 responds through a hole in the perforated plate 15 and releases air into the channel 67, thereby inflating a bellows 68 (or actuating a piston in a cylinder) and pushes the push rod 69 into the position shown in dashed lines. The pressure rod 69 then turns on a mechanical process, e.g. B. a pawl, a lever or the like, or locks or moves something.
In this way, the storage units, the automatic motor train, the imprint of the date and symbol, the line feed, the functions of the transverse units and the like are called or controlled. It is in the essence of the inventive concept that valve constructions other than those described so far can also be used. For example, the valve or a relay according to FIG. 7 can work with flat membranes instead of cylinder-shaped valves.
In this case, any number of membranes 71 are clamped tightly by a perforated molded piece 72 in a for example cast or pressed plastic plate 70 next to each other. The middle part of the membrane is enclosed between two circular plates 73 from which the sealing plates 74 hang. The nozzle openings 75 pass through the plates 73 and the membrane. They can also be attached at another suitable location. This results in a compact, clear and easy-to-manufacture structure.
What is essential is the idea of controlling a function by simply covering or releasing a hole and using a perforated board made of cardboard or other suitable material as the program control instead of the previous expensive control bridges.
The principle of actuation by opening or closing an opening is not limited to the program control emanating from the sliding plate, but also to the manual control in the keyboard. In many business machines the keys are so difficult, and the depth is so great that the operator soon becomes tired and diseases such as tendinitis occur. The described principle of opening and closing an opening, applied to the buttons, enables very little button pressure. For example, a motor button can be designed as shown in FIG. Pressing the motor button 76 opens the flap 77.
The air flows out of pipe 78 and valve 79. Compressed air from the box 80 goes in the direction of the arrow into the bellows 81, swivels the stop pawl 126 and thus releases the coupling pawl 125.
It is necessary that the sliding plate is only under air pressure during the time that the carriage is moving from right to left, e.g. B. by tabulation when jumping from column to column, and allows the control of the functions, but not when the carriage retracts, when moving from left to right. No controls should take place during the retreat. The device is therefore designed in such a way that the valve box 66, FIG. 6, which is used for the individual control processes, receives its compressed air from the bellows 7. With limited or full carriage retraction, the bellows 7 (or the corresponding pressure cylinder) has no excess pressure, so that neither the valve box 66 nor the slide plate 17 or
the connected tubes 64.
With limited carriage retraction, the exceptional case is possible that a hole in the perforated plate in the column in which the carriage is to stop has to control the stop during the return movement, as well as with full retraction at the end of the carriage retraction movement. To make this possible, although otherwise all other functions would have to remain ineffective due to the extraction of compressed air, these two valves are housed in a special compressed air box that always remains under pressure. Fig. 9 shows the circuit diagram of the pneumatic system in one embodiment.
The booking machine is illustrated by the carriage 1 with the platen 2, in front of it the type rods 82 with the downwardly protruding racks 83. In front of it, the storage units 84, the keyboard 85 below, the carriage movement device already described above consists of arm 5, connecting rod 6 and the two bellows 7 and B. In the case of pneumatics, the air pipes are indicated by simple lines for a better overview. At the top left is the slide plate 17, above it the pressure roller 18.
From the slide plate 17, the two tubes 21 and 22 already described lead to the box 23 (not shown in Fig. 1), the remaining tubes 86 lead to the valve box 87, from which the compressed air tubes 88 lead to the individual functional points in bellows.
A motor 90 drives an air pump 91 to which an air tank with pressure regulator 92 is connected. From here, the compressed air initially flows, depending on the control, into the right bellows 7 or the left bellows 8 (or cylinder) and in each case from the bellows 7 through the line 93 into the valve box 87. In Fig 9 only eight storage units 84 are shown. Depending on the length and design of the racks 83 and depending on the arrangement of the storage units, a significantly higher number can be accommodated. A transverse work is indicated by 94 pulled out to the right. Several can also be arranged. The storage units 84 can be used both for vertical work and for horizontal work.
All counters, transverse and storage units can be designed in such a way that they can either only add or add and subtract or also balance. In the scheme of FIG. 9, adding storage units 84 and a Saldier unit 94 are assumed to be the cross unit.
The keyboard 85 contains the keys 95 on the left for manual calls to the storage units. To the right of these are twenty symbol buttons 96, three setting levers 97, 98 and 99 for the date (day and month). (The year is set inside the machine as a stop for the year type bar).
100 is the key to cancel the automatic motor train, 101 the delete key for correction purposes, 102 is the job indicator, 103 the number keys 0.00,000 to 9.To the right of these are the following keys: 104 motorized skip key, 105 motor key for horizontal work , 106 motorized vertical key, 107 are four function keys for the aisle (sum, subtotal, non-addition and minus), 108 is the tab key, 109 carriage return key, 110 register subtotal a, ste, <B> 111 </B> register sum key,
On plus-minus machines, 112 is the total reverse key, on plus machines it is the release key for summation from the storage units, 113 key for register non-addition and 114 carriage hold key.
A not shown main axis of the known type, which is driven by the motor 90 via a clutch and each performs one revolution, causes the operation known in Ad diermaschinen with series counters, whereby by controlling coupling members, the selected counters with the selected functions accordingly Schaltelemen th are brought into engagement, which move over time according to the function, z. B. Amount recording, total or subtotal, etc.
According to FIG. 9, three bellows are assigned to each storage unit. (These three bellows each are shown at the top and bottom storage plant 84, namely for items (amount recording) bellows 115, for total bellows 116 and for subtotal bellows 117. These three systems of bellows 115, 116, 117 are attached to membrane plate 118 into which the compressed air tubes 88 from the valve box 87 open from the slide plate 17 for calling the accumulators. A tube 88 calls a counter and another, which is connected at the bottom of the membrane plate 118, performs the function (item , Total or subtotal).
Four bellows are connected to the transverse work: 119 for plus, 120 for minus, 121 for subtotal and 122 for total. From the diagram it can be understood that when the carriage 2 jumps (the device for it, tabulation, jump over, etc. is explained in relation to FIG. 11) from column to column and a corresponding jump of perforated plate 15 over sliding plate 17 through the desired Corresponding holes in the perforated plate can be controlled according to the program according to the program. This is done with a minimum of mechanics and noise, according to the invention by a flowable medium such as compressed air (or suction air).
Motor train <I> by </I> hand, <I> motor train </I> wagon-controlled, manual override <I> of the </I> program-controlled <I> Mo- </I> <I> gate train, </I> single-turn clutch Fig. 10 shows the clutch disc 123 rotated continuously by the engine.
In order to control the working cycle, a coupling pawl 125 is resiliently pivotably arranged on the disk 124, which is held on by the pawl 126 and thereby held out of engagement with the coupling disk. If a work cycle is to be triggered under program control, this is done through a hole in the perforated plate 15 above the sliding plate 17. The valve 127 in the pressurized valve box 87 responds and allows compressed air to flow through tube 128 into the bellows 129. Sitting on the movable part 130 of the bellows 129.
pivotable and sprung the pawl 131, which is lifted (dashed position), the pawl releasing the bolt 134, which is seated on the flap 133 and which it initially lifted, to fall back after it hits the bolt 132. The flap sits tightly on the mouth of the tube 135 which leads to the valve 137. During the brief lifting of the flap 133, the valve 137 responds and sends compressed air through the pipe 138 into the bellows 139. This swings out the pawl 126 by means of the rod 140 and thus releases the coupling pawl. 125 free, -which falls into the clutch disc 123 under the action of the spring 141.
The control device described is at the same time a single-turn clutch. The hole in the perforated cardboard remains on the sliding plate the entire time, but only has a momentary effect because the flap <B> 133 </B> is only lifted for a moment when the latch 131 is snapped off. The bellows 139 gets only a bump of air, pivoted only briefly to release the pawl 126, which is immediately ready again to intercept the coupling pawl 125 after one turn.
In Fig. 10, the triggering of a work cycle by hand by actuating the motor button 105 is shown. When the motor button 105 is pressed, the valve <B> 1.27 </B> is brought to speak and the coupling pawl is released by hand, exactly as if it had happened under program control through the perforated plate 15.
In order to have the possibility of canceling a program-controlled motor train (triggering a work cycle) or not allowing it to take effect, key 100 is provided. When the button 100 is depressed, it is held firmly in the position shown in broken lines by the resilient pawl 142. In this case, the hook 144 is pivoted via the push rod 143 in such a way that it engages over the locking bolt 145 arranged on the movable bellows part 130 and prevents it from going up even when actuated by the perforated plate 15. If this blocking or cancellation is to be released again, the resilient pawl 142 is pressed down by pressing the button 146.
Tabulation <I> by hand, </I> tabulation <I> motorized </I> and skipping Fig. <I> 11 </I> The square bar 147 with the column tabs 148 sits on the carriage. These tabs 148 are set at intervals which correspond to the respective booking form.
When changing from one accounting job to another, the perforated plate above the sliding plate must be changed and the square 147 (it can also be a hexagon or a cylinder with many column stop arrangements, depending on the number of jobs to be carried out on the accounting machine) become accordingly veidrelit, so that the column row corresponding to the formular comes into effect. The carriage is held in place by the stop lifter1149. If tabulation is to be carried out by hand, the tab key 108 is depressed.
As a result, the three-armed lever <B> 151 </B> is pivoted via the push rod 150; by means of the pull wire 152 it pivots the intermediate lever 153, which with its left arm encompasses the unwound piece 149 'and thus pulls down the stop lever 149 and thus releases the carriage for movement to the left.
The machine main axis 154, which is taken for a working cycle by the pawl 125 shown in Fig. 10 for a full rotation, carries the tabulation eccentric 155 and rotates it in the direction of the arrow. Shortly before reaching the rest position shown in FIG. 11, the lever 157 is depressed by the cam 156, which pivots the three-armed lever 151 via the pull rod 158 in such a way that tabulation takes place similar to when the tab key 108 is actuated.
If it is desired that the carriage not only jump from one column to the next adjacent column, but one or more columns are skipped, the skip key 104 is pressed. It swivels the catch pawl 178 for the pawl 159 in the clockwise direction, so that the pawl 159 moves into the position shown in broken lines under the action of a spring.
This has the effect that the stop lever 149 does not immediately return to its initial position following the tension of the spring 136 after tabulation has taken place, but is held by the pawl 159 on the tab 160 in the pivoted position shown in dashed lines until through a hole in the perforated plate 15, the valve 161 responds and compressed air flows into the bellows 162, which pivots the pawl 159 counter-clockwise via the push rod 163. As a result, the three-armed lever 151 is released again.
The pawl 159 pivoted in this way is held by the catch pawl 178 in the fully drawn position, which is ineffective for 151, as long as no jump is desired.
The catch pawl 178 can not only be pivoted by hand using the skip key, but can also be controlled by a program, e.g. B. with automatic selection of the balance column from the perforated plate via the bellows 164 and rod 165.
In Fig. 11, the known device for braking the impacts when jumping the car is shown, which consists in that when pulling down the stop lever 149 this is pulled by the tension spring 166 against the carriage over the angle lever 167 and when going up and he grasp the next column rider 148, following the pressure of the car, is taken to the end stop 168. the compressed air brake 169 absorbs the otherwise hard impact in a known manner.
Program control <I> der </I> Sheicheric, erke <B><I>und</I> </B> Handwald of the same FIG. 12 shows schematically the device for calling the storage units and their effects when a selection key is pressed. For the call of each storage plant is in the slide plate 17 each a hole and from this a pipe 64 to a valve 65 in the valve box 66 is seen before. The relevant valve 65 responds through a hole in the perforated cardboard 15 (not shown in FIG. 12) and actuates an associated bellows 68 (FIG. 6).
If, in deviation from the program control, another storage unit is desired, a selection key 168 is pressed. As a result, the slide 169 is displaced in the direction of the arrow and the flap 170 is raised, so that the valve <B> 171 </B> guides air into the chamber <B> 172 </B>. The valve box 66 receives its compressed air from the pipe 173 via the detour through the chamber 172 to the pipe 174. The confluence of the pipes 173 and 174 in the chamber 172 are under a membrane 175 which, as long as there is no excess pressure in the chamber 172 , slightly yielding to the air pressure of 173 coming and assumes the position shown in dashed lines. As long as this condition exists, the valves 65 can call according to the program.
If, on the other hand, the flap 170 was opened by pressing a selection button 168 and the valve 171 lifted off, the chamber 172 receives compressed air, the membrane 175 is depressed and seals the junctions of the pipes 173 and 174. The flow of compressed air to Ven tilkasten 66 is interrupted and the program control is canceled. The desired storage unit is then called from the key by one of the known devices which are not shown in FIG.
Line switching The line switching in an embodiment according to FIG. 13 is carried out mechanically by the main machine axis 154 and can either be triggered manually by button 106 or pneumatically controlled by perforated plate 15. On the axis of the platen 2 in the carriage 1, which runs on balls 3 on the rails 4, sits the line indexing wheel 179, which is held by the resiliently pressed detent roller lever 180.
A square axle 181 is rotatably mounted in the side walls of the car. By rotating the square axis, the lever 182 fixed to it is pivoted with the line indexing pawl 183, and by engaging the line indexing wheel 179, the platen 2 is rotated. During the carriage movement, the square axle 181 slides in a sleeve which is rotatably mounted on the carriage running rail and which can be pivoted by lever 185 in front.
This makes it possible to switch lines on the movable carriage in each of its positions by means of a fixed rod.
The line switching eccentric 186 sits on the main machine axis 154. This acts on the roller 187 of the lever 189 pivoted about bolts 188, at the upper end of which at 190 the line switching rail 191 is articulated.
The tension spring 192 endeavors to bring the linkage 191, 189 with roller 187 to rest on the line switching eccentric 186, so that a line switching is carried out with each operation. First, however, the lever 189 is held in place by the ratchet lever 193.
Only when the ratchet lever 193 is pivoted either by hand using the vertical button 106 via the push rod 194 (in the position shown in dashed lines) or by program control from the perforated plate 15 via valve 65, bellows 68 and push rod 69 can the line switch take place. Line switching also takes place when the trolley stop button 114 is actuated, which pivots the latch lever 193 via rod 195. The carriage hold button is held in the pressed position by the pawl 196 and released again by the trigger 197.
A pneumatic embodiment of the line feed is shown in FIG. When the valve 65 responds under program control through a hole in the perforated plate 15 or manually controlled through the vertical key 106, the compressed air cylinder 197 executes the line switch. The moment of the line break should after the printout, z. B. keyed digits. The control of the line switching function through the perforated plate 15 he follows but already at the moment of the car jump into the column. However, in order to run them only as a function of the machine gear, the device shown schematically on the left in FIG. 14 is provided.
The tube 64 coming from the slide plate 17 opens into the membrane box 207. Before the junction, a tube 208 branches off to the vertical button 106. The membrane box 207 is provided with compressed air through the nozzle 209 from the box 66. The ventilation pipe 210 goes from the membrane box 207 to the spring-loaded flap lever 211 and the pipe 64 to the valve 65.
The 1Ueinbran 212 seals the mouths of the pipes 64 and 64 ', so that the valve 65 initially does not allow compressed air to flow into the compressed air cylinder 197, even if the perforated plate 15 or the vertical button 106 call line. The pressed vertical button 106 is held firmly by pawl 213.
Only when the machine main axis 154 makes a turn in a machine gear, the line switching eccentric 214 lifts the flap lever 211 at the appropriate time, thereby venting the membrane box 207; the connec tion between pipe 64 and 64 'is made, the valve 65 responds and the line interconnection takes place.
Shortly before the end position of the main machine axis, the extinguishing eccentric 215 pulls the pawl 213 by pivoting the spring-loaded lever 216 over the pull rod 217; the vertical button 106 falls back, and the flap lever 211 also closes the vent pipe 210 again. Limited Wageii.2, ü.ckzicg To Fig.4, the program-controlled back and forth movement of the carriage is ben described.
The manually controlled retraction to the beginning of the form and the limited carriage retraction up to a column predetermined by the perforated plate 15 is shown in FIG. 15. Of the tubes 21 and 32, the control of the right and left movement of the Serving trolleys through the perforated plate, pipe branches go off laterally, from pipe 21 the vent pipe 198 under the flap 199 and from pipe 32 the pipe 200, which opens into the membrane box 201. A hole 202 is provided in the sliding plate 17 for the limited retraction, from which the vent pipe 203 leads to the diaphragm box 201.
The membrane box is closed by compressed air flowing in through the nozzle 204. kept under pressure; The membrane 205 seals the two tube openings of the tubes 203 and 200 so that there is no connection between them. From the membrane box, the tube 206 goes under the retraction key 109. If the back key is pressed briefly, the pipes 21 and 206 are vented for a moment, which has the same effect as if the perforated cardboard controlled the retraction via tube 21.
In this way, the carriage can be made to run to the right from any column, with a short press of the button to the beginning of the form, whereby pipe 32 and a hole in the perforated plate 15 are counter-switched in such a way that the carriage retraction ends and is controlled on carriage advance. If, on the other hand, the carriage retraction button 109 is pressed continuously, a short but sufficient push occurs to initiate the carriage retraction movement by snapping off the flap 199, but the flap 199 immediately covers the vent pipe again.
By keeping the pipe 206 open, the membrane 205 no longer seals in the membrane box 201, the connection between 203, 200 and 32 is established, and as soon as the carriage has reached the gap in which a hole in the perforated plate is above the hole 202, the withdrawal movement stops; the counter-impulse is the same as when the carriage reaches the end of the form. When the carriage retraction button is released, the compressed air presses the membrane 205 closed, the connection between 203 and 200 is interrupted, and the hole 202 no longer has any control effect.
Program-controlled carriage movement There are accounting tasks in which the carriage not only jumps from column to column, skips columns when the skip key is pressed or runs back when the return key is pressed, but the car movement has to be programmed to move to the right or left over one or more columns , e.g. For example, in order to produce a duplicate in the original print or to add amounts from certain columns to a separate list.
The device that enables these arbitrary car jumps to the right or left to be carried out automatically is shown schematically in FIG. The tube 21 for controlling the carriage movement from left to right is connected to the sliding plate 17 and the pipe 32 for the carriage movement from right to left. 218 is the vent pipe for program controlled skip. For each of these tubes, a second tube is connected to the slide plate 17 for the same function, but depending on the machine gear.
Thus, pipe 219 is connected to pipe 21, but valve 220 blocks the passage to slide plate 17 under the action of spring 222. Only when eccentric 221 opens valve 220 during machine operation does connection to slide plate arise. When the mouth of the tube 219 in the sliding plate is released through a hole in the perforated plate, 219 controls the carriage retraction in its column just as pipe 21 always does at the end of the carriage path. Similarly, the carriage is moved to the left by means of pipe 32 connected to pipe 225.
