Anchor escapement and gear folder The invention relates to an anchor escapement and gear folder for clocks.
It is known that the dynamics of an aisle folder are adversely affected by the inertia of the escapement parts. It is therefore desirable to make the mass moment of inertia of these parts, based on their axis of rotation, as small as possible. These efforts are limited in the use of the metals used to date from which the escapement parts and the gear folder are made. One would have to choose the dimensions of the parts or their thickness so small that their strength would be impaired and their function would be called into question.
The invention solves this problem through the use of light metals, in particular aluminum as well as magnesium or their alloys, e.g. B. from a material with a low, at least below 3 lying specific weight for the production of the escapement parts and the gear folder. This makes it possible to obtain a small moment of inertia with sufficient strength for these parts with the usual dimensions.
In order to protect the arresting parts against premature wear, they are hardened on their surface at least where they come into movement with other parts, for example by the known anodizing process.
In this way, the escapement parts and the gear folder can also be produced very easily and cheaply.
For example, the anchor, which is known to have the greatest moment of inertia of the escapement parts, can be produced by punching the anchor body including claws and fork from one piece and hardening the surface, for example by anodizing.
The gear wheel made of light metal or one of its alloys can also be anodized, for example.
With the design of the escapement parts according to the invention, it is thus possible to significantly improve the dynamics of the gear folder while using the simplest * and inexpensive manufacturing process.
Of course, other embodiments than those described here are also possible based on the same inventive concept. For example, the surfaces that come into motion can be finely machined such as re-milled, repassed and the like before anodizing. In addition, instead of anodizing, other surface treatment methods can also be used.
