 Procédé de    fabrication   d'un cadran d'horlogerie muni de signes en relief On    connaît   divers    procédés   de    fabrication   d'un cadran d'horlogerie    muni   de signes en relief.    Il   est par exemple connu de rapporter des    signes   munis de pieds sur une plaque de cadran    terminée   ou encore de coller ces signes.

   On a eu également l'idée de souder des signes    électriquement   ou par ultrasons sur des    cadrans.      Enfin   on connaît divers    procédés   consistant à réaliser    des   cadrans complets avec des signes en relief par dépôt    électrolytique   de métal dans un moule en matière plastique rendu conducteur par métallisation. Ce    dernier   procédé présente cependant l'inconvénient de nécessiter, pour la fabrication de cadrans avec appliques or, une    quantité   d'or bien supérieure à celle    utilisée   pour les signes uniquement. 



  On connaît également des procédés    galvaniques   pour la mise en couleur de signes selon lesquels on recouvre le cadran d'un vernis ou d'une couche galvanique, enlève cette couche aux endroits que doivent occuper les signes puis la remplace par une couche galvanique d'une autre couleur constituant lesdits signes.    Les   signes    ainsi      réalisés   ne sont cependant pas des signes en relief et ces procédés équivalent donc    quant   à leur résultat à une simple impression, à un décalque ou à un dorage ou argentage ; ils ne sont d'ailleurs applicables qu'à des cadrans bon marché. 



  La présente invention a précisément pour objet un procédé de fabrication par    galvanoplastie   d'un cadran d'horlogerie muni de signes en relief ne présentant pas    ces      inconvénients.   



  Ce procédé est caractérisé par le fait que l'on termine la surface de ce cadran, la met en contact avec un moule présentant des    empreintes   exactes desdits signes en relief, le fond de ces empreintes    étant   constitué par le cadran, rend au moins une    partie   de ces    empreintes   électriquement conductrice, forme les signes en relief par    remplissage      galvanique      des   empreintes de manière que ces    signes   adhèrent au cadran, puis enlève le moule. 



  Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, un mode de mise en    aeuvre   du    procédé   selon l'invention. Les    fig.   1 à 8 sont des vues    des      diverses      phases   de ce procédé. 



  D'après cet exemple, on    commence      (fig.   1) par établir un moule en matière plastique 1, par exemple par moulage ou par découpage présentant des empreintes 2 ayant la forme des signes à    rapporter   sur un cadran 3. Ce dernier est disposé dans un logement du    moule   de manière que sa    surface   supérieure forme le fond des    empreintes      (fig.   2). Ce    cadran   est    terminé,   ce qui signifie    qu'il   a en    particulier   subi    les   traitements galvaniques usuels pour    les      cadrans   d'horlogerie. 



  On recouvre alors la surface supérieure du moule ainsi que les empreintes d'une couche conductrice 4, plus précisément d'une couche de cuivre    mise      en   place par métallisation sous vide    (fig.   3). Bien entendu on pourrait    également      utiliser   d'autres métaux    tels   que l'argent ou l'or. On enlève ensuite la couche    conductrice   sur la surface supérieure du moule    (fig.   4) pour ne    laisser   subsister que la couche    recouvrant   les empreintes. 



  Par traitement galvanique on remplit ces empreintes de métal    (fig.   5) de manière à former des signes 5. Ce métal pourra par exemple être de l'or ; il ne se dépose bien entendu que dans les    empreintes   puisqu'elles sont seules    conductrices.   Elles sont d'ailleurs    reliées   électriquement entre elles par le cadran lui-même, ce qui    facilite   le montage électrique.

 On    termine   alors, par    polissage   ou par    facettage,   la face    supérieure   des    signes   5    (fig.   6) de manière à leur donner leur    aspect      définitif.   La présence du moule évite    d'endommager   le cadran et permet de fixer facilement l'ensemble sur une machine adéquate. En variante on pourrait encore terminer les signes seulement après enlèvement du moule, au risque de blesser éventuellement la surface du cadran. 



  On enlève enfin le moule, par exemple par fusion ou par dissolution et obtient de cette manière un cadran    (fig.   7) dont la surface est terminée et dont les signes 5 le sont également. La tranche de ces signes présente en outre la couche de métallisation 4 leur donnant un    aspect   pouvant être    différent   de la    surface      supérieure   des signes. Bien entendu on pourrait également    éliminer      cette   couche de    manière   à    avoir   un signe entièrement de même métal    (fig.   8). 



  L'invention n'est pas    limitée   à ce qui est décrit ou représenté au dessin. C'est ainsi que le moule pourrait être rapporté sur le cadran et ses    ouvertures   étampées ou fraisées directement sur le cadran. En outre, il serait possible d'usiner (trou, bossage, sablage, etc.) les parties du cadran sur lesquelles les    signes   doivent être    rapportés   de manière à améliorer leur ancrage. 



  La présente    invention   permet de    réaliser   des cadrans à appliques or en    n'utilisant   que le métal    nécessaire   à ces    appliques   et en employant une plaque de cadran terminée    indépendamment   et obtenue non pas par galvanoplastie mais par frappe ou par étampage.

   We also had the idea of welding signs electrically or by ultrasound on dials. Finally, various methods are known which consist in producing complete dials with signs in relief by electrolytic deposition of metal in a plastic mold made conductive by metallization. However, this latter process has the drawback of requiring, for the manufacture of dials with gold appliques, a quantity of gold much greater than that used for the signs only.



  Galvanic processes are also known for coloring signs according to which the dial is covered with a varnish or a galvanic layer, this layer is removed at the places which the signs must occupy and then replaced by a galvanic layer of a other color constituting said signs. The signs thus produced are not, however, signs in relief and these processes are therefore equivalent in terms of their result to a simple printing, to a transfer or to gilding or silvering; moreover, they are applicable only to inexpensive dials.



  The present invention specifically relates to a method of manufacturing by electroplating a clock face provided with signs in relief which does not have these drawbacks.



  This process is characterized by the fact that the surface of this dial is finished, brought into contact with a mold having exact imprints of said signs in relief, the background of these imprints being formed by the dial, making at least part of these electrically conductive imprints, forms the raised signs by galvanic filling the imprints so that these signs adhere to the dial, then removes the mold.



  The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the method according to the invention. Figs. 1 to 8 are views of the various phases of this process.



  According to this example, one begins (fig. 1) by establishing a plastic mold 1, for example by molding or by cutting having imprints 2 having the shape of the signs to be attached to a dial 3. The latter is arranged in a housing of the mold so that its upper surface forms the bottom of the cavities (fig. 2). This dial is finished, which means that it has in particular undergone the usual galvanic treatments for watch dials.



  The upper surface of the mold and the imprints are then covered with a conductive layer 4, more precisely with a layer of copper put in place by vacuum metallization (FIG. 3). Of course, other metals such as silver or gold could also be used. The conductive layer on the upper surface of the mold is then removed (fig. 4) to leave only the layer covering the impressions.



  By galvanic treatment, these impressions are filled with metal (fig. 5) so as to form signs 5. This metal may for example be gold; it is of course only deposited in the impressions since they are the only conductors. They are also electrically connected to each other by the dial itself, which facilitates electrical assembly.

 The upper face of the signs 5 (FIG. 6) is then finished, by polishing or by faceting, so as to give them their final appearance. The presence of the mold prevents damage to the dial and allows the assembly to be easily fixed on a suitable machine. As a variant, the signs could still be completed only after removal from the mold, at the risk of possibly injuring the surface of the dial.



  Finally, the mold is removed, for example by melting or by dissolving, and in this way a dial (FIG. 7) is obtained, the surface of which is finished and the signs 5 of which are also finished. The edge of these signs also has the metallization layer 4 giving them an appearance which may be different from the upper surface of the signs. Of course, this layer could also be eliminated so as to have a sign entirely of the same metal (fig. 8).



  The invention is not limited to what is described or shown in the drawing. This is how the mold could be attached to the dial and its openings stamped or milled directly on the dial. In addition, it would be possible to machine (hole, boss, sandblasting, etc.) the parts of the dial on which the signs must be attached so as to improve their anchoring.



  The present invention makes it possible to produce dials with gold appliques by using only the metal necessary for these appliques and by using a dial plate finished independently and obtained not by electroplating but by striking or by stamping.

Procédé de fabrication par galvanoplastie d'un cadran d'horlogerie muni de signes en relief, caractérisé par le fait que l'on termine la surface de ce cadran, la met en contact avec un moule présentant des empreintes exactes desdits signes en relief, le fond de ces empreintes étant constitué par le cadran, rend au moins une partie de ces empreintes électriquement conductrice, forme les signes en relief par remplissage galvanique des empreintes de manière que ces signes adhèrent au cadran, puis enlève le moule.
