Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>
    Einrichtung zur Verminderung der Gefahr des Überdrehens von Uhrwerkfedern Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Einrichtung zur Verminderung der Gefahr des überdrehens von Federn, die zum Antrieb von Uhren dienen.

     In der Fig. 3 ist ein an einer Feder befestigbarer Zusatzteil aus Federblech dargestellt. Dieser Zusatzteil 15 besitzt an seinem einen Ende zwei Lappen 16, mit deren Hilfe der Zusatzteil an der Feder festgeklemmt werden kann. Der Zusatzteil 15 weist nahe an seinem anderen Ende einen als bogenförmige Einbuchtung ausgebildeten Höcker 18 auf. In der Arbeitsstellung umgreifen die Lappen 16 die beiden

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

    Seitenränder der Feder 17 (Fig. 2) und klemmen den Zusatzteil 15 auf der Feder fest. Der Zusatzteil wird dabei an dem Federauslauf festgeklemmt.

     Die Stelle des Höckers kann so weit in die äus- serste Federwindung hinein verlegt sein, als der Hök- ker den Federauslauf von der vorhergehenden Win- dung noch völlig trennt.

   <Desc / Clms Page number 1>
    Device for reducing the risk of overturning clockwork springs The invention relates to a device for reducing the risk of overturning springs which are used to drive clocks.

  Often these springs are turned over when winding, which leads to a standstill of the clockwork. It is known to provide bumps on the outer turns of a spring which are directed against the preceding turns. These humps, which are not or barely elastically flexible, are intended to prevent the coils of the spring from sticking to one another and therefore preventing the spring from jumping when the spring is tensioned and relaxed.

  Furthermore, it is known in a clock spring with an end that rubbes against the inner wall of the barrel to attach one end of a supplementary spring to the inside of the outermost turn of this spring, the other, free end of which lies against the next inner spring turn. This measure is intended to prevent premature destruction of the same, which is caused by frequent snap-ups of the spring.

  On the other hand, the risk of overwinding a clockwork spring can be reduced in that, according to the invention, on the outermost turn of the spring there is provided a hump directed against the previous turn, which keeps these two turns at a distance from one another, and that the hump is provided by an indentation in the The spring itself or in a piece of sheet metal spring resting against the outermost spring coil is formed in such a way that when the spring is tensioned, the indentation yields under pressure and generates a longitudinal force in the spring.

  Such a hump is simple to make, inexpensive to manufacture, durable in use and effective under all circumstances, since its resilient resilience gradually increases the resistance of the spring to additional tensioning before over-tightening and thus significantly reduces the risk of over-tightening the spring. The aforementioned known precautions on clockwork springs are not suitable for achieving this purpose.

  The subject matter of the invention will then be explained in more detail using the exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing. 1 shows a side view of a spiral spring with a hump; 2 shows a side view of a spiral spring with an additional part having a hump and fastened to the spring; FIG. 3 shows the perspective illustration of an additional part according to FIG. 2; FIG. 4 shows another configuration of the additional part according to FIG. 2.

  1 shows a conventional spring 11 which is spirally rolled up around a spring shaft 12 and fastened at one end to a pin 13. At the outermost turn towards the spring outlet, below the center line passing through the spring shaft 12 and the pin 13, a hump 14 is incorporated into the spring, which is designed as a transverse, U-arch-shaped indentation in the spring steel sheet.

     In Fig. 3 an attachable to a spring additional part made of spring steel sheet is shown. This additional part 15 has at one end two tabs 16, with the help of which the additional part can be clamped to the spring. The additional part 15 has, close to its other end, a hump 18 designed as an arcuate indentation. In the working position, the tabs 16 embrace the two

    Side edges of the spring 17 (Fig. 2) and clamp the additional part 15 on the spring. The additional part is clamped to the spring outlet.

  As FIG. 4 shows, the additional part can also be attached to the pin 13 instead of to the spring itself.

  The hump should be so high that the end of the outermost spring turn having the hump is kept at a sufficient distance from the next inner spring turn so that the two turns remain out of contact with each other in an angular range of several degrees beyond the hump. The cusp worked into the spring as an indentation causes a certain additional elasticity in the longitudinal and transverse direction of the spring under the pressure exerted during pulling, which creates additional forces in the spiral spring that make it difficult to overwind.

     The point of the hump can be moved so far into the outermost spring turn that the hump still completely separates the spring outlet from the preceding turn.
