Description

Be kanntlich kann man diesem Übelstand dadurch abhel fen,

Process for level dyeing of textile material. Cellulose fibers with water-soluble, eucosulfuric acid ester salts of vat dye. It is known that the various water-soluble leuco-sulfuric acid ester salts of vat dyes have different affinities for the cellulose fibers.

In the continuous dyeing of fabrics made of cellulose fibers with leucosulfuric acid ester salts of vat dyes and especially with mixtures of such dyes, the difference in affinity has a very unfavorable effect, since after dyeing larger sections of the textile there are differences in hue and / or depth of color between start and 'End of dyed goods occur. It is well known that this deficiency can be remedied by

that the substantivity of the dyes compared to the cellulose fiber is reduced by adding small amounts of substances with an affinity for dyes to the pad bath (compare, for example, British Patent Nos. 833668, 833674 and 837000).

The addition of substances with an affinity for dyes to the pad bath, however, reduces the speed at which the dyestuff is absorbed into the cellulose fiber, as a result of which the color yield (color strength) is considerably reduced. Another part of the dye is still bound to.

the dyestuff-affine substance on the cellulose fiber. In order to make this last part still usable, the fiber or the fabric has to have another one before the oxidation process. The drying process is carried out, in which case the superficially adhering dye penetrates into the cellulose under the action of heat and the removal of water.

This type of dye migration, however, easily creates unevenness and / or so-called two-sidedness, that is to say the front and back of the fabric do not have the same depth of color and / or the same hue.

In addition, such a drying process is expensive and therefore uneconomical. It has now been found that one. with water-soluble leuco-sulfuric acid ester salts of vat dyes using a pad solution containing a substance with an affinity for the dye and subsequent oxidation of the padded fiber material.

Textile material made from cellulose fibers is obtained if, after padding, the still moist fiber material, which has a squeezing effect of at least 50 and at most 13011 / a, is subjected to a steaming process with steam at around 100 ° C. lasting at least 20 seconds. Preferably up to 60-801) / o- is squeezed off.

The present method can be carried out continuously or discontinuously: During the short steaming process, preferably 40-60 seconds, the dye which is on the fiber and is still bound to the substance with an affinity for the dye penetrates. under favorable conditions, namely in the presence of heat and moisture, rapidly penetrates the cellulose fibers and thus produces after.

Oxidation process level dyeings and, in the case of fabrics and fleeces, dyeings on the front and back of the same depth and shade.

The inventive method has compared to the. known methods have the advantage that the dyeing process can be carried out with less expenditure of heat, since the heat of vaporization is eliminated, and that when using certain highly substantive, water-soluble leuco-sulfuric acid ester salts of vat dyes, it becomes clear. can achieve higher color yields.

In addition, the process produces colorations on the same side in woven and non-woven fabrics. The method is particularly suitable for dyeing cotton, rayon, rayon, as well as linen, jute, hemp, etc. The leucosulfuric acid esters of vat dyes used according to the present method, possibly also those that have reactive properties, are in Form of their water-soluble salts applied.

Mixtures of various water-soluble leuco-sulfuric acid ester salts of vat dyes can also be used with equally good results. Suitable fat-affine substances are albuminoids or hydrolyzed collagens, such as glue, glue, gelatin, and addition products of ethylene oxide with fatty alcohols,

Fatty acids and alkylphenols and in particular addition products of more than 5 moles of ethylene oxide with a higher alkylphenol, as well as their sulfated products, furthermore alkylated pyridinium salts such as hexylpyridinium bromide, cetylpyridinium sulfate, dodecylpyridinium formate and cetylpyridinium chloride, as well as polyvinylpyridinium chloride.

Example 1 200 g of the leuco-sulfuric acid ester salt of dichloroisoviolanthrone (Na salt) and 500 g of sodium carbonate (calc.) Are dissolved in 20 liters of hot water, 5 liters of an aqueous solution of the addition product of nonylphenol with 9-10 Molen of ethylene oxide (10010), 400 liters of cold water and 12.5 liters of an aqueous sodium nitrite solution (20 "/ oig)

added and the reaction mixture adjusted to 500 liters with water.

A bleached cotton fabric 5000 meters in length is passed through the dyebath obtained in this way and squeezed in such a way that the fabric absorbs about 6711 / o of its weight in liquid. The moist fabric then passes through a continuous steamer that is filled with saturated steam at 100 ° C for 40 seconds.

The oxidation of the leuco sulfuric acid ester happens in a known manner at 70 C in a developing bath, which 20 cm3 conc. Contains sulfuric acid per liter. As usual, a wide washing machine is used to rinse, neutralize, soap at the boil and rinse: the entire dyeing process is continuous.

After drying, a perfectly level violet dyeing of the same color from the first to the 5000th meter and of the same color on the front and back of the fabric is obtained. The color yield achieved is very high.

If the appropriate amount of sodium chromate is used instead of sodium nitrite, the same result is obtained.

Example 2 3000 meters of a cellulose fabric are padded in a dye bath according to the information in Example 1 and, after the saturated steam treatment at 100 ° C. for 40 seconds, rolled up separately for every 1000 meters of the fabric. The fabric of each roll is then subjected to the oxidation process, rinsed, neutralized, washed, rinsed and dried. This dyeing process is discontinuous. A violet coloration with the same good properties as described in Example 1 is obtained.

Example 3 150 g of the leuco-sulfuric acid ester salt of 3,3 'dichloro-1,2,2', 1'-dianthraquinonazine (Na salt), 50 g of the leuco-sulfuric acid ester salt of benzene-2-benzene- 2'-dimethoxydibenzanthrons (Na salt) and 200 g sodium carbonate (calc.) Are dissolved in 10 liters of hot water, 20 liters of an aqueous bone glue solution (10%),

160 liters of cold water and 10 liters of one. aqueous sodium nitrite solution (20%) added and adjusted to 200 liters with water. In this dyebath, 2000 meters of mercerized cotton fabric are padded with a squeeze effect of 80 "/ o in a continuous process and treated with juice vapor at 100 ° C. for 60 seconds.

The oxidation of the dye and the further treatment of the tissue are carried out in a known manner.

After drying, a level and identical turquoise coloration is obtained, which shows no bilateral nature. The color yield achieved is very high.
