Resistance Abbrennschweissmaschine The invention relates to a resistance Abbrenn- welding machine with at least one for the workpiece feed serving hydraulic cylinder, the sen return chamber is connected to a controlled valve that connects the return chamber of the hydraulic cylinder with a relieved Druckmit telerabitung to execute a sudden union. This machine is designed for resistance flash welding with or without preheating.
Such a machine is required to suddenly increase the feed speed, which is small during the burn-off process step, when the transition to the upsetting process step occurs. In order to meet this requirement, it is necessary that within a fraction of a second a relatively large amount of hydraulic fluid (oil) is diverted from the return chamber of the hydraulic cylinder for the workpiece feed. This is only possible to an insufficient extent with the usual solenoid valves.
The aim of the invention is to meet the said requirement to a greater extent.
For this purpose, in the machine according to the invention, the valve is hydraulically controlled and the working space of the hydraulic control cylinder of the valve to be pressurized to close the valve can be connected either to a pressurized pressure medium line or to an unloaded pressure medium discharge line and is the clear cross section of the valve seat smaller than the area of the piston of the hydraulic control cylinder of the valve that can be acted upon in the valve closing direction.
The subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the drawing, for example. The single figure shows a partial diagram of an embodiment of the machine.
The machine to which the scheme refers has two hydraulic cylinders 1 and 2 with pistons 3 and 4 and piston rods 5 and 6 for the workpiece feed. The piston rods 5 and 6 are connected to the feed slide, not shown, of the machine.
The feed chambers 7 and 8 of the cylinders 1 and 2 are connected to the high-pressure cylinder 10a of a pressure booster 10 by a branched line 9. On the line 9, a pressure oil line 11 with a check valve 12 and a controllable valve 13 and an oil discharge line 14 with a controllable valve 15 are connected. With tel for filling the oil and changing the oil are not shown in the drawing. A line 16 with a controllable valve 17 connects the working space of the low-pressure cylinder 10b of the pressure booster 10 either with a compressed air tank 18 or with a relief line 19.
The machine has a double cylinder 20 which comprises a hydraulic control cylinder 20a and a pneumatic control cylinder 20b. A piston 21, which is connected to a valve cone 22, can be displaced in the cylinder 20a. A branched line 25 leads coaxially into the cylinder 20a from the return thrust chambers 23 and 24 of the cylinders 1 and 2. The mouth of this line 25 forms a seat 26 for the valve cone 22.
The end of the cylinder 20a facing away from the valve seat 26 can be connected by means of a three-way control valve 27 either through a line 28 to the line 25 or through a line 29 into an annular space 31 of the cylinder 15a adjacent to the seat 26. A controllable throttle 30 is located in the line 29. A relieved oil discharge line 32 is connected to the annular space 31. A pressure oil line 33 with a valve 34 and an oil discharge line 35 with a valve 36 are connected to the line 25.
A piston 37, which is connected to the piston 21, can be displaced in the cylinder 20b. The end of the cylinder 20b facing away from the seat 26 is connected to a valve 38, which makes it possible to connect the cylinder space lying to the left of the piston 37 in the drawing either with the compressed air tank 18 or with the outside air.
The inner diameter of the cylinder 20a and the diameter of the piston rod which connects the pistons 21 and 37 are chosen so that the effective area of the left side of the piston 21 in the drawing is greater than the clear cross section of the seat 26 .
The lines 25 and 32 have a relatively large cross-section in order to enable a large amount of oil to drain rapidly from the back thrust chambers 23 and 24 of the cylinders 1 and 2 during the upsetting process. The lines 14, 32, 35 lead into an oil container (not shown). The lines 11 and 33 receive oil under pressure from this container. (The means with which the oil is conveyed under pressure into the lines 11 and 33 are not shown in the drawing.) The valves 13, 15, 17, 27, 34., 36 and 38 are solenoid valves, the solenoid winding of a control device not shown are energized according to the welding program.
When the machine is ready for operation, the working chamber of the high-pressure cylinder 10a, the forward thrust chambers 7, 8 and reverse thrust chambers 23, 24 of cylinders 1 and 2, the space of cylinder 20a on the left of piston 21 in the drawing and the lines communicating with these spaces are conditions filled with oil.
The valves 13 and 36 are used to adjust the feed rate during burning, the throttle 30 to adjust the acceleration of the feed during the transition from burning to upsetting.
The operation of the described part of the machine is as follows: At the beginning of the burning process, pistons 3 and 4, pistons 21, 37 and valve cone 22 and the double piston of pressure booster 10 are in the position shown in the drawing. The valve 38 connects the working space of the cylinder 20b with the outside air. The valve 27 connects the cylinder space lying to the left of the piston 21 in the drawing with the line 25. The valve 17 connects the working space of the low pressure cylinder lob with the outside air. The valves 13, 15, 34 are closed, the valve 36 is open.
The burn-off advance is initiated by opening valve 13. Additional pressurized oil then passes through the lines 11 and 9 into the cylinder chambers 7 and B. The pistons 3 and 4 are pressed to the left in the drawing and exert pressure on the oil in the cylinder chambers 23 and 24 and the line 25. The oil in the space of the cylinder 20a on the left in the drawing, which is connected to the cylinder spaces 23 and 24 through the valve 27 and the lines 28 and 25, is also under this pressure.
Since the left side of the piston 21 in the drawing has an effective area that is larger than the clear cross section of the seat 26, the valve cone 22 is pressed against its seat, with a force that is greater, the greater is the oil pressure acting on valve cone 22. Since the pressure oil is reliably prevented from flowing out into the relief line 32, in particular even with a large clear width of the valve seat 21 and high oil pressure. The pressure oil can only flow out through valve 36. The speed of the Abbrennvorschubes therefore depends on the setting of the valves 13 and 36 and can be controlled by means of these valves.
To initiate the upsetting process, the valve 17 is brought into the position in which the working chamber of the low-pressure cylinder 10b is connected to the compressed air tank 18, so that the pressure booster 10 clears the oil pressure into the cylinder 7 and 8 increases, with the non-return valve 12 closing. In addition, the valve 27 is brought into the position in which it connects the space of the cylinder 20a on the left in the drawing through the line 29 with the annular space 31 which communicates with the relief line 32. As a result, the space of the cylinder 20a on the left in the drawing is relieved of the oil pressure. The oil pressure now only acts on valve cone 22 from the right in the drawing.
The valve cone 22 is consequently pushed to the left in the drawing, and as a result, a large passage between the line 25 and the discharge line 32 is formed in the annular space 31. The oil can suddenly flow out of the cylinder chambers 23 and 24 through this passage, overcoming an insignificant resistance. As a result, the movement of the Kol ben 3 and 4 and thus the workpiece feed is suddenly greatly accelerated. The extent of this acceleration depends on the speed at which the left space in the drawing of the cylinder 20a is relieved of pressure. This Ent load speed is adjustable by means of the throttle 30.
It should be noted that the valve cone 22 is held in the closed position by the oil pressure during the burning process and is pushed into the open position by the oil pressure when the upsetting process is triggered. With little technical effort, a reliable closure is ensured even at high oil pressure and a sudden, wide opening of this closure is made possible in a simple manner. The sealing force and the opening force are automatically adapted to the oil pressure.
After the welding has been carried out, the valves 17 and 27 are brought back to their starting position, in which the working space of the low-pressure cylinder 10b of the pressure booster 10 with the outside air and the space of the cylinder 20a on the left in the drawing through the line 28 with the line 25 connected is. Valves 13 and 36 are closed and valve 34 is opened. In addition, the piston 37 is briefly acted upon with compressed air by actuating the valve 38, so that the valve cone 22 is brought back into the closed position.
The oil flowing through the line 33 and the valve 34 into the line 25 then pushes the piston 3 and 4 and the double piston of the pressure booster 10 back into the starting positions shown in the drawing, with the valve 15 still being opened when the double piston ben of the pressure booster 10 has reached the position shown in the drawing, whereupon the oil pressed into the cylinder chambers 7 and 8 for the burn-off feed can escape through the line 14.
