Description

  Demnach können Zustände mit     Feuchtigkeiten,     bei welchen die     Brückenbildung    über ein Sieb hin  weg zu stark wird, durch     Entzug    geringer Wasser  mengen zerstört werden. Es     wurde        gefunden,    dass bei  Feuchtigkeitsverhältnissen, bei denen gerade Brücken  bildung     auftritt,    ein Luftstrom     vorteilhaft    wirken  kann, Es kommt jedoch auch vor, dass das zu siebende  Material übermässig durchnässt ist, wobei im wesent  lichen Sättigung     eintritt;

Method and device for removing particles from the openings of sieves In damp weather it happens that sieves, which are used to sort particles, clog to such an extent that sieving, for example of sand during construction, becomes uneconomical. The usual method of cleaning the sieves is to brush them with a bristle brush or shake them vigorously, or use both measures.

The disadvantage of cleaning with brushes or other means that come into contact with the sand and stones is that the stones that are moved over the surface of the screen and are to be removed can take with them a large amount of sand particles, causing considerable losses arise on sand. The same conditions can occur when sieving ores. With brushing, even the finer particles tend to adhere more firmly to the larger ones, which are removed by brushing.

The subject of the invention is once a method for removing particles bridging the openings of screens, which is characterized in that an air stream or air currents are blown against the screen under pressure in a strip-shaped zone so that the bridging particles are broken apart and the sieve in the zone. is made free and that further the ge named zone is continuously guided back and forth over the sieve in the lateral direction, in such a way that the entire surface of the sieve is continuously swept by air currents.

Furthermore, the invention consists of a device for carrying out such a method for removing particles from the openings of sieves with a longitudinal and a transverse dimension, which is characterized by the following parts:

a transversely displaceable head with a carrier that can be mounted on the sieve so that the head can be displaced parallel to the transverse direction of the sieve, a drive means for moving the head to and fro laterally, a rigid air supply pipe that is pushed from the ver Head is passed over the sieve, an air supply device for this tube and a number of nozzles which lead air from the inside of the tube onto the sieve when the tube is moved over the sieve.

The invention can be used advantageously in known screening devices of the most varied of types, both in devices with a single screen and in those with several screens.

The invention is explained below with reference to the accompanying drawing.

Fig. 1 shows a device according to the invention applied to a sieve for sieving mate rial simple form.

FIG. 2 shows a section along line 2-2 of FIG. 1.

Fig. 3 shows in section along the line 3-3 of Fig. 1 part of the laterally displaceable head of the device.

Fig. 4 shows in perspective the multiple use of the device according to the invention in a device with several sieves arranged one above the other.

Fig. 5 shows a modified form of Actuate transmission device for the air supply tube, in wel cher this is moved back and forth in the axial and lateral directions, viewed in view of the end of the device.

FIG. 6 shows a section along the line 6-6 in FIG. 5.

Fig. 7 shows a plan view of the structural details A from Fig. 5. In Fig. 1, a vibrating screen device 10 is shown with a frame 11 in a simplified form. The screen can vibrate both in the longitudinal direction and in the vertical direction, as shown by the arrows X and I '.

In order to remove the coarse particles, the sieve is inclined in the direction of arrow Z, while the fine particles fall through the sieve and are brought by the conveyor belt 13 in the direction of arrow V to the place of their use.

Any arrangement of sieves can be used to remove the particles clogging the sieve openings.

The so-called bridging by fine particles in sieve openings is due to the fact that the particles adhere more closely to one another as a result of the surface tension of a moisture film that extends over several particles. Under certain conditions, which depend on the areas of smoothness of the individual particles, a relatively small amount of liquid can cause caking, whereby a group of particles can form a self-supporting arch connection over an opening. The interruption of this arc has the consequence that it collapses easily.

In essence, it is not necessary that the moisture content of the bridging mass be reduced as long as some particles are disturbed. In many cases, however, a significant improvement is obtained even by a slight reduction in the moisture content. This is due to the fact that the thinner moisture films are created in such a way that only small amounts of water have to be removed in order to free the critical areas of moisture to the extent that the surface tension of the film, which causes the formation of self-supporting bridges, is destroyed .

  Accordingly, conditions with humidities, in which the bridging over a sieve becomes too strong, can be destroyed by withdrawing small amounts of water. It has been found that in the case of moisture conditions in which bridging occurs, an air stream can have an advantageous effect. However, it also happens that the material to be screened is excessively soaked, with essential saturation occurring;

the occurrence of this state has made the use of physical means, such as brushes, also together with vibrations of different frequencies, necessary.

It has been found in connection with the present invention that the use of air nozzles with continuous crossing of the screen surface in most cases leads to a decisive reduction in surface moisture and, moreover, exerts sufficient pressure on the bridging particles, which are essentially saturated with moisture, to destroy the bridges and to ensure that the screens work continuously even under the most unfavorable conditions.

In the case of partially frozen material, it has not previously been possible to carry out a satisfactory sieving. To solve this problem, a device is provided for heating the air radiated out through the nozzles, which is not necessary to remove the surface moisture, but is used for defrosting; the once thawed mass can be processed further in spite of its tendency to form bridges with the aid of the device according to the invention equipped with air nozzles.

According to Fig. 1, a Ge alternate 14 is connected to the screening device, which carries the base plate 15 for the laterally movable head on which the guide rod 16 attached to the end plates 17 is arranged on.

A rotatable shaft 18 is supported in the bearings of the end plates 17. It passes through one end plate and is driven at this end via the reduction gear 20 by the drive device 21, preferably an electric motor 22. The drive shaft 18 works on the head 23, which can be displaced since Lich, in such a way that it continuously moves back and forth in the lateral direction.

In the illustrated preferred form of the device according to the invention, the shaft 18 is bennut 24 with a continuous, reciprocating screw provided. As shown in Fig. 2, the screw groove works with a drive pin guided therein to 25, which can slide under the pressure of the spring 26, which is in the bore 27 of the laterally ver slidable head 23 in the groove.

The laterally displaceable head 23 has a replaceable cover block 28 which is fastened to the body 29 by means of removable bolts 30 in such a way that the air tube 31 protruding forward from it is clamped in its longitudinal direction. At its outer end 32, the tube 31 is closed GE; at its inner end it is connected to the flexible tube 34, which is closed via the air heater 35 of any known construction and via the line 36 to the air pump 37.

The air tube 31 is shown in its essential parts in Fig. 3; the air nozzles 38 are preferably arranged at intervals of two Rohrdurchmes fibers along the tube. Each nozzle has a hexagonal foot part 39 with a thread 40 which is screwed into a threaded bore 41 of the pipe. Each nozzle is provided with a central opening of about 1.5 mm in diameter, which merges into the diverging funnel 43, the walls of which enclose an angle of 90 °. The funnel forms the lower end and serves as protection for the opening 42 of the nozzle.

In operation, the air tube 31 moves continuously, running across the screen in the direction of arrow W and directing the air flow through the nozzles down onto the screen. In most cases it has proven to be the most favorable setting to arrange the air tube about two tube diameters above the sieve; in this case, the air flow sweeps over the entire length of the sieve in a width of about two pipe diameters. The air tube goes continuously over the surface of the screen.

The particles that form or can form a bridge are separated from each other both by the force exerted by the air pressure and, additionally, by the inherently small but very effective drying effect that the air exerts on the thin moisture films adhering to the particles .

The demonstrated use of an air heater is not intended to give the impression that the main purpose of the process is to dry the particles, for the reason that the amount of heat required for this would in most cases be too large and uneconomical. The heating should be used mainly and essentially only for the purpose of thawing. In this sense, the process serves to render such frost conditions harmless that would halt construction activity in early spring and late autumn.

The process also avoids the need for costly drying by flame heating, which is generally considered uneconomical and is only used when there is no other possibility.

4 shows the application of the invention to a multiple screen. The 3-tier sieve 44 is equipped with vibrating sieves 45, 46 and 47. The laterally displaceable tube 49, which is moved by a drive device 50 of the type described, is attached to the upper part 48. The frame 51 of the drive device carries additional transversely sliding tubes 52 and 53 for the other two sieves.

It can be seen that due to the relatively small diameter of the tube, a disruptive effect on the material falling from one sieve to the next is avoided in any case, so that the invention can be used for many of the usual sieve devices.

In Figs. 5 to 7 a modified Ausfüh approximately form is shown in which the air tube can be moved back and forth during its movement in the lateral direction in the axial direction. In the illustrated embodiment, the frame 54 carries the end plates 55 and 56 with the bearings 57, 58, 59 and 60, which receive the shaft 61 provided with the two-way Fenden screw groove and the shaft provided with a spring 60, which receive through the Shaft 61 via the gears 63 and 64 is driven. The shaft 61 is via its end piece 65 with a drive device, for. B. with the Vorrich device 20, 21 and 22 of FIG. 1, coupled.

The head 66 is laterally displaceable along the fixed guide rods 67 and 68. A pin 69 under the pressure of a spring 70, which rides on the shaft 61, is provided with the nose 71 which engages in the screw groove of the shaft so that the head 66 is moved laterally when the shaft 61 rotates. The head 66 includes a forward and backward ver slidable plate 72 which moves between the guide rollers 73, 74, 75 and 76 which are attached to the side plates 77 and 78 which extend from their attachment point on the head 66 upwards .

The reciprocating plate 72 is actuated by the crank 79, which is articulated at 80 and is connected at its rear end to the crank pin 81 which is arranged eccentrically on the shaft 82. The shaft 82 is journalled in bearings 83 and 84 on side plates 77 and 78; it carries at one end the sprocket 85, wel Ches is driven by a chain 86 which connects to the drive wheel 87 that slides along with the head 66 on the spring-loaded shaft 62 men together.

On the reciprocating plate 72, the clamping device for the air tube with its carrier 88, which carries the clamp 89 fastened thereon with bolts 90, is rigidly attached. The air tube 32 is held on the clamp.

As the head 66 moves laterally, the crank 79 gives the clamps 88 and 89 a reciprocating motion. Each air jet from the tube 32 accordingly describes a wave-shaped path of a predetermined width, with a strip of material extending over the entire width of the screen being subjected to the air treatment. The distances between one nozzle and the next, in the longitudinal direction of the air tube, which are adapted to the stroke of the to-and-fro movement, allow the band-shaped areas to overlap if desired.

It has been shown that the modified implementation of the device according to the invention according to FIGS. 5 to 7 enables better processing of pit sand at different locations and both on dry days and in high humidity. The axial to-and-fro movement of the air tube produces an effect which is considerably greater than in the case of the simple form of the device, as shown in FIGS.

The from modification specified embodiment with back and forth movement is, if not essential for the invention, but of great use when working conditions exist that would otherwise make working impossible, eg. B. when there is a pre-dried material that tends to form bridges on the screen. Another, unexpected advantage of this modified embodiment is that the material is spread out in strips on the sieve, so that a uniform layer is created during sieving, which greatly increases the effectiveness of the sieve.

As a result, the material throughput is greatly increased when using the method and the device according to the invention, even for an ideal material.
