Single column stand for table, in particular drawing table The subject matter of the present invention is a column stand for table, in particular drawing table, the table top of which is adjustable in height and can also be conveniently rotated about the column axis.
The inventive single-pillar stand differs from known designs in that the table top rests in the working position on a bumper, which is displaceable in a tube, the interior of which communicates via a controllable valve with a cylinder space in which at least one pressurized medium is placed is, the pressure of which compensates the weight of the vertically displaceable parts at least approximately kom.
If the individual parts are appropriately dimensioned, it is possible to adjust the height of the table top with minimal effort without using a pump. In practice, the extremely low expenditure of force for the height adjustment of the table top is essential, and the fact that operation is made much easier by eliminating a pump.
In the preferred embodiment of the subject matter of the invention described below, the drawing board can either be rotatable or non-rotatable, independently of the height adjustment. It can be brought into the desired position by simply moving it left or right-handed. The top and bottom end positions can be reached gently and noiselessly without the use of springs or damping materials through a fixed, glass fiber reinforced plastic tube in which guideways are incorporated.
In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject invention is provided from Darge. 1 shows a vertical section through the entire stand, FIGS. 2, 3 and 4 sections along the lines II-II or 111-III or IV-IV of FIG. 1. The character stand shown in the drawing has a preferably round base 1, which is provided with an annular center piece 2. The middle piece is open at the top, while it has a bottom 3 at the bottom. On the latter, an insert 4 is attached, in which a vertical tube 5 is firmly screwed.
A second tube 6, which is preferably made of a plastic reinforced with glass fibers, stands on the insert 4 concentrically to the tube 5. The tube 6 is centered at the bottom by a cylindrical edge 7 of the insert 4 and carries a cover 8 at the top, whereby an annular seal 9 and 10 is provided between insert 4 and tube 6, and between the latter and cover 8. The cover 8 has a pot-shaped central part 12, through the end base of which the tube 5 protrudes. In the latter a bumper 11 is axially displaceable ge superimposed.
In the interior of the middle part 12, on the bottom 13 thereof, there is a seal 14, over which a ring 15 provided with an inclined surface lies. The upper end of the tube 5 is provided with a thread 16 onto which a nut 17 is screwed. In the middle of this nut, the cover 8 is pressed firmly onto the upper end of the tube 6 and the latter onto the insert 4. As a result of the seals 9 and 10, the interior of the tube 6 is sealed against the outside air and liquid. This also includes a sealing washer 18 lying on the nut 17 and a ring 19 provided with a seal, which are pressed onto the nut 17 by a nut 20 screwed into the cover 8.
These seals are necessary because, as will be explained in more detail later, compressed air is filled into the pipe 6.
A cylinder 24 with slight play is arranged concentrically above the tube 6 and is closed at the top with a disk 25. Two clamping rings 26, which are provided with extensions 27, sit on the cylinder 24. Each of these rings 26 has three pairs of lugs 27, a pair of rollers 28 being freely rotatably mounted on an axle 29 between each two such lugs 27. The rollers who are preferably formed by ball bearings and the NEN for guiding the cylinder 24 on the tube 6. For this purpose, tapering, flat Füh approximately tracks 30 are provided on the outer surface of the tube 6 at their ends, on which the rollers 28 run.
A head piece 32 is seated on the upper end of the cylinder 24 and has two resilient legs 33 surrounding the cylinder, in whose parallel ends 34 (FIG. 3) the shaft 35 of a bolt 36 is mounted. A hand lever 37 is firmly seated on one end of the latter, while the other end is threaded and screwed into one leg end (34).
The head piece 32 has a cylindrical bearing part 40 (FIG. 4) in which a hollow axle 41 is rotatably mounted. A support 42 or 42 ', which together carry a drawing board 43 in a known manner, is seated on this axis near each end. On one end of the hollow axle sits a handle 44, while on the other end, provided with thread 45, two lock nuts 46 are screwed. The axis 41 is connected to the port 42 by means of a wedge 48. A bushing 49 is provided between the support 42 ′ and the axle, the outer end face of which rests against the handle 44. The inner end face of this bushing abuts one lamella 50 of a brake lamella set 50, 51, which lies between support 42 ′ and bearing part 40.
An identical package is arranged between the bearing part 40 and the support 42. All lamellas are mounted on the hollow axle and have bores in which rings 52, 53 are located. The rings 52 are connected to the supports 42, 42 'by means of screws 54 (FIG. 4) and the rings 53 are connected to the supports 42, 42' by means of screws 55, and projections 56 of the bearing part 40 firmly screwed.
A screw 60 (FIG. 1) is firmly screwed into the disk 25, the head 61 of which lies in a bore 62 of the head piece 32 and has a slight axial play relative to the latter.
In the insert 4 (Fig. 1), a transverse bore 64 is arranged, into which two inter-communicating bores 65 and 66 open. The bore 65 is coaxial with the tube 5, while the bore 66 against the space 67 between the raw 5 and 6 is open. In the bore 64 there is a ball 68 which, due to the action of a pressure spring 69, is pressed against an annular seat 70 of the set 4. A plug 71 screwed into the bore 64 secures the spring in the former. Coaxially to the bore 64, a plunger 72 cooperating with the ball 68 is mounted in an axially displaceable bar in a bushing 73 screwed into the insert piece.
At the protruding from the sleeve 73 the end of the plunger is a cam 74 of a foot pedal 75 which is pivotally mounted on an axis 76 of a bearing 77 attached to the floor 3. The outermost part of the pedal protrudes from the middle piece 2 out. In addition, a casing 63 covers the clamping rings 26 and the rollers 28 in all their heights.
Before using the single column stand just described, a certain amount of oil and compressed air from z. B. 20 at is introduced into the space 67 through a valve (not shown). Since the normal atmospheric pressure prevails inside the pipe 5 at this point in time, the filled-in compressed air presses the ball 68 away from the seat 70 against the action of the spring 69 via the oil , whereby oil enters the pipe 5. As a result, this oil lifts the bumper 11 until it hits the disc at the bottom.
It is of course clear that before the introduction of the compressed air and the oil, the push rod 11 was directly above the borehole 65 and the cylinder 24 with all parts arranged on it was in its lowest position, which pair up as the lower rollers hit the lower terminating end of the guideways 28 is limited. In Fig. 1, the liftable and lowerable parts are already drawn a little raised. The air brought into the space 67 is under such an overpressure that it compensates for the entire weight of the liftable and lowerable parts via the oil and the bumper 11, and the latter therefore remain at any altitude. The drawing board 43 can therefore be lifted with a force of about 2.5 kg.
As soon as one begins to lift the drawing board and, of course, the cylinder 24, the pressurized oil located under the push rod 11 in the tube 5 also begins to lift this rod so that its upper end is practically always in contact with the disk 25 . Immediately, however, a slight negative pressure arises in the pipe 5, which is sufficient for the pressure in the space 27 to push the ball 28 away from its seat, whereby the interior of the pipe 5 comes into contact with the bore 66 and further pressure oil flows into the pipe 5. In this way, the whole weight of the parts that can be raised and lowered rests on the compressed air, which, as already mentioned, requires an extremely low force to lift the drawing board.
To lower the drawing board, one presses a foot on the pedal 75, with which the cam 74 moves the plunger 72 axially to the left (FIG. 1). The latter lifts the ball 68 from its seat 70 and thus brings the interior of the tube 5 to the space 67 in connec tion via the bores 65 and 66. The parts that can be raised and lowered still remain at their previous height. The same is lowered by light pressure on the drawing board, the rod 11 pushing oil from the tube 5 through the bores 65, 64 and 66 into the space 67. As soon as the pressure on the drawing board ceases, the latter immediately stops at its chosen height.
The pedal can now be released again, whereby the spring 69 brings the ball 28 into its final position and pressure on the drawing board no longer brings about any change in height.
The means for holding the drawing board at a desired angle of inclination are shown in FIG. When it is pivoted, the hand lever 44 moves axially outward as a result of the thread 44a and thus removes the pressure previously exerted on the bushing 49. So that the effect of the brakes serving as lamellas packets 50, 51 is canceled and the character board with the two supports 42, 42 'together with the hollow axis 41 in the bearing part 40 can now be pivoted. After reaching the desired inclination, the hand lever 44 is pressed down.
This presses on the one hand the lamellae of the first lamellar stack 50, 51 on the same facing end face of the bearing part 41 and on the other hand via the hollow shaft 41, the nuts 46 and the support 42 the other lamellar stack on the next face of the Storage part 40. As a result, however, both supports including the drawing board are immovably secured.
It is also possible to rotate the drawing board regardless of its height and its respective angle of inclination about a vertical axis, which in the present case coincides with the central axis of the stand, in order to adapt its work surface to the current lighting conditions.
In the position shown (FIG. 3), the two ends 34 of the clamping jaws 33 are pressed against one another and the head piece 32 is therefore firmly clamped on the upper end of the cylinder 24. If the hand lever 37 is pivoted upwards, the thread in the shaft 35 loosens the clamping effect of the jaws 33 in a known manner. This allows the drawing board with the head piece 32 to be rotated about the central axis of the stand. This rotation is possible through a full 360 without having to adjust the stand itself.
If, however, the hand lever 37 is pivoted downward, a clamping effect occurs between the jaws 33 and the cylinder 24, with which the drawing board is secured against twisting. With the mentioned rotation of the drawing board, the screw 64 does not move.
The hand levers 37 and 44 are arranged in FIGS. 3 and 4 to the left of the person working on the drawing board. But it is possible in a simple way to arrange these levers on the right, so that a service option can be created for both right-handed and left-handed people. The adjustment of the height of the drawing board is completely stepped. go, in addition, the upper and lower end positions are limited noiselessly by the ends of the guide tracks 30 that run out. The new column stand saves 30 cm of space compared to known counterweight sign stands.
