Description

Rotating electric machine Various methods have been described for setting the windings in the notches of rotary electric machines, and for avoiding the movements and vibrations which could be caused by the forces of these electrodynamics, in particular in the case of high-power alternators.

Radial wedging systems have already been used, keeping the winding bars pressed against the bottom of the notch with a significant force.

But tests have shown that lateral wedging of the winding bars, even with moderate force, prevented any lateral or radial vibration. Thus it was proposed, in French patent MI 1307821, of December 12, 1961, a device consisting in placing along the winding bar a thin corrugated strip serving mainly as a shock absorber. vibrations by the action of a perpendicular elastic force.

However, this latter method has the drawback of requiring the presence in the notch of a clearance of the order of a millimeter between the notch wall and the winding bar, and the clamping force depends on the 'real thickness of the bar at each point.

It has been found that best results are obtained by wedging the winding bar laterally, not along its entire length, but in limited areas spaced along the bar at distances small enough to avoid any vibration of the bar. the bar between two setting points. The length of the wedging zones can be for example 20 to 100 millimeters, and the distance between wedging zones must be much less than the natural wavelength of vibration of the bar at a frequency double that of the network. The machine according to the invention is characterized in that it has, arranged from place to place, in one of the side walls of the notches, radial housings into which the bars wedging devices are inserted.

These wedging devices are preferably made up of wedges and wedges in the form of wedges, slid radially against one another in the direction of opposite inclination. The shims can have a constant length for a given machine, while the length of the counter shims can be adjusted according to the exact thickness of the. bar at the tightening point.

In order to give elasticity to the clamping, the clamping devices can advantageously have a convex cross section, the convex part of which comes to rest against the winding bar.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the invention.

  Fig. 1 shows a cross-sectional view of a turbo-generator stator with a check mark.

Fig. 2 shows a partial section along aa of FIG. 1.

In this example, it was assumed that the notch 1 in the plates 2 of the stator contained two insulated rolling bars 3 and 4, separated by an intermediate wedge 5; the notch is closed by the wedge 6.

The lateral wedging devices of the bars 3 and 4 are embedded in radial housings 7 provided, from place to place, on one of the side walls of the notch.

These wedging devices consist, for each winding bar, of a wedge 8 and a wedge-shaped counter-wedge 9. The wedges 8 have a length determined by the dimensions of the bars 3 and 4, while the counter-wedges 9 are cut to the appropriate length to adjust the wedging according to the thickness of the bar at the location of the wedging.

It is seen in fig. 2 that the convex shape given to the section of the wedges and counter-wedges makes it possible to achieve elastic wedging.

The wedges are made of a laminated material, preferably molded to the desired shape, but which can also be obtained by machining. This laminated material may consist of a fabric of glass or asbestos, agglomerated by means of a resin with a high deformation temperature. The agglomerating resin can be chosen from well known epoxy or polyester resins. This laminated material is made conductive by the addition of a graphite filler which at the same time makes it possible to reduce its coefficient of friction.

The conductivity of the material will be chosen so as to obtain a specific surface resistance of between 2.00 ohms and 10,000 ohms for a square and a transverse resistance less than 10,000 ohms per shim, so that the notch current can be completely passed. , independently of the contact which will be ensured on the other face of the bar.

The wedging arrangements described allow lateral wedging of the winding bars with maximum force, while retaining a certain elasticity and ensuring electrical contact between the surface of the bar and the mass. In addition, the wedges, being castrated in a housing, cannot move axially, and any radial displacement is made impossible by the presence of the notch closing wedge. These arrangements also facilitate the assembly and disassembly of the wedging device, due to its wedge shape and the graphitization of the surface. Likewise, clamping, even very energetic, of the bars, does not oppose the displacements of the bar under the effect of thermal expansions.
