Description

Folding barge for transporting dredged spoil or the like The invention relates to a folding barge for transporting dredged spoil or the like, where with laterally pivotable flaps that are designed as viable hollow bodies and limit the loading space, extend over the entire length of the barge.

In such a design apart from the Bo denfuge in the longitudinal center plane only a comparatively short in the front or rear boundary wall of the cargo space to seal when the same is closed. That for arranging on-board facilities, e.g. B. the mooring bollard, an anchor winch, etc., serving deck on the fore and aft must be made of two hinge-like parts be available that assume a corresponding incline when the flaps are pivoted out.

In order to make such a folding barge independent of external drive, the inven tion consists in that the barge is provided with its own drive unit, which is stored on the deck in a manner independent of the respective folding processes in the sense of a constant upright position. This can be done, for example, in such a way that the drive unit consisting of the motor, propeller shaft and propeller is supported together with the steering position on one side of the cover with a fixed joint and on the other, pivotably connected to the cover side with a joint that can be moved transversely on the same is.

The object of the invention is provided on the drawing voltage in one embodiment, for example, represents. 1 shows a side view of a hinged barge, FIG. 2 shows the same barge in a top view, FIG. 3 shows a schematic cross section of the bar flaps in the swiveled in and out position, FIG. 4 shows the drive unit with its mounting.

The hull of the barge consists of a total of six pontoons, of which three pontoons 1-3 are relatively immobile, but detachably connected to each other, and form the two mirror-image flaps that extend over the entire length of the barge.

The middle pontoons 1 on both sides in area a have an approximately trapezoidal cross-section with an inclined inside, so that when the flaps are pivoted in the closed position there is a cargo space with a triangular cross-section widening upward (cf. the solid outlines in FIG. 3).

The two side end pontoons 2, 3 in the areas b, c of the fore and aft ship have a rectangular cross-section; these pontoons are articulated to each other in pairs at their upper inner edge, whereby the pivot axis 4 is formed when opening and closing the flaps (see. The dash-dotted outline in Fig. 3).

The opposite upper sides of the pontoons 2, 3 on both sides of the pivot axis 4 form the deck 5 on the fore and aft ship. These deck surfaces, on which polisher 6 to moor the barge, an anchor winch 7 and other, not shown facilities, such. B. Position lights, are arranged, are only horizontal when the flaps are fully closed, but more or less obliquely when the flaps are open (rising outwards).

While all the devices are only located in the area of one flap, they can be arranged as if the flaps were always in the same mutual position, this is with regard to the symmetrical to the longitudinal center axis of the flap, i.e. reaching into the area of both flaps Facilities, namely the drive motor 8, the propeller shaft 9, the propeller 10 and the control station 11 is not possible.

These components are therefore combined to form an assembly unit, which is supported on one side of the pivot axis 4 in a fixed joint 12 and on the other side in a transversely displaceable joint 13 on the deck 5 of the aft ship (FIG. 4). As a result, an approximately cradle-like storage is sufficient by the whole drive unit when swiveling the flaps in or out only slightly raised or lowered and at the same time slightly shifted to the side, but essentially maintains its normal upright position.

The motor 8, which can be designed as a Schottel navigator, can be used not only to drive the propeller 10, but also to drive an oil pump (not shown) that generates the pressure medium for the pivoting movements of the flaps. For this purpose, in the area of the end pontoons, cylinders are hinged on one side and the rods of the associated pistons on the other side at a point as low as possible, so that the latter can always move coaxially in the cylinders within the limits of the mutual pivoting movements of the flaps.

This one by means of a clutch between the motor and the pump at any point in time and possibly also switchable, d. H. Pressure medium drive that can also be used to close the flaps is independent of whether the barge is in motion or is stationary. In the latter case, the propeller is switched off by means of a coupling which is also provided between it and the motor.

The subdivision of the flaps on both sides into several pontoons one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the barge initially has the advantage that the individual pontoons can be limited to a size that is still permissible for their transport on land. In addition, by mutual exchange of shorter or longer central pontoons, if necessary also by arranging several central pontoons one behind the other, barges of different sizes and loading capacities can be easily assembled using the same end pontoons and the same drive unit.
