Description

Lochstreifen, Magnet band) vorgenommen.

Circuit arrangement for automatic billing in telecommunications systems The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for automatic billing in telecommunications systems.

Automatic telecommunications exchanges usually have an electrically operated call counter for each subscriber. These call counters are switched on via the counter wires depending on the type and duration of the call. A participant's counter adds up the counting pulses for this participant over the entire reading period. The counters grouped together in a frame are photographed at certain time intervals, with the subscriber number attached to the housing and the count being recorded.

When reading the film and when transferring the values to an evaluation device, errors easily arise which lead to complaints by the participant. An attempt has therefore already been made to automatically record the fees incurred. There are various arrangements known to assign each connection path A devices that record the calling and called subscriber number and the duration of the call and determine the charges. Such arrangements with great effort per line are far too expensive.

An arrangement is also known in which a magnetic drum for recording the charges is seen in front. Each participant is assigned a storage section along the circumference of the drum. The counting cores of the subscriber connections are scanned periodically and existing counting pulses are stored at the relevant point on the drum surface. Since the duration of the counting pulses fluctuates very strongly and all subscriber counting wires have to be scanned for the duration of the shortest counting pulse, the drum speed is very high, which places great demands on the mechanical design.

This makes the system very expensive and, above all, sensitive to interference.

Another known arrangement avoids this disadvantage. Each participant counting core is assigned a ferrite core with a rectangular hysteresis loop as a bistable storage element. The cores of several participants are combined to form a matrix and are scanned by a scanning arrangement in a time that is shorter than the time interval between two counting pulses arriving on a counting wire.

During the scan, the memory element is reset and a read counting pulse in the form of the subscriber number or a similar identification number is transferred to a central memory, e.g. B. a self-tig readable recording medium transmitted. The counting cores to be monitored are connected to the marking windings of the assigned cores.

If a core is brought from its 0 state into the 1 state in this way, then this state remains stored until this core is reset by calling up coordinates during scanning by the read pulse. A reading loop is routed through all the cores of the matrix, in which a voltage pulse is induced that provides information about the status of the core being queried. If the indicator connected to the reading wire responds when a core is queried, the core was in state 1 and was reset by the reading pulse.

In this case, a counting pulse must be registered for the assigned participant. If the indicator does not respond to the query, then the core was in the unmarked state 0. No count was saved and the registration is not carried out. If the scanning just hits a counting pulse, the excitations of the nucleus cancel each other out as long as it is scanned. The core therefore remains in the marked state and is only read and reset with the next query. Due to the storage effect of the cores, it is sufficient if each core is scanned once in an interval that is smaller than the shortest time interval between two counting pulses on a counting wire.

In this sampling cycle, no counting pulse is lost if the first interrogation falls within a counting pulse and this is not read until the next interrogation.

However, this known arrangement with parallel storage and scanning also has disadvantages. Since voltages are also induced in the reading wire when counting pulses are stored, the cyclic scanning process can be disturbed. When a marking process and a scanning process come together, the induced voltages can be completely or partially canceled out, so that information can be lost. This disadvantage can only be eliminated by the fact that the marking process and the scanning process take place separately from one another.

In this case, however, this can only be carried out with great difficulty and with great effort, since the counting pulses arrive at any point in time.

If a ferrite core memory, e.g. B. for fee recording in telephone switching systems that still work with electromechanical switching means, then other difficulties arise for the known storage and scanning methods. When generating the counting pulses, i. H. the marking potentials, due to electromechanical switching devices, contact bounces often occur at the beginning and at the end of the counting pulse.

The counting pulse is split up into several partial pulses, all of which are long enough to mark the core. If now a query pulse on a marker pulse, but hits the same between two partial pulses, then the core can be marked again after evaluation and resetting and therefore wrongly delivers a read signal again with the next query, i.e. H. a charge pulse.

Various methods are known for reliably avoiding such double counting. These methods are all based on a time discrimination depending on the maximum possible pulse train on a line. It is known to use two ferrite core memories of the same construction for this purpose. A ferrite core memory is assigned to the counting wires of the participants and stores the incoming counting pulses.

A counting pulse is only forwarded to the central recording device if no marking and therefore no information was transferred to the auxiliary memory during the previous scanning. Since the sampling cycle of the ferrite core memory is selected so that a core can only be marked once by a counting pulse for two consecutive samples, this ensures that double counting is no longer possible. If e.g.

   B. when scanning a core of the read pulse in the In the pulse gap of two partial pulses, then the core is reset, the counting pulse is transferred to the memory part and registered in the central Aufzeich voltage device. The following partial pulse of the counting pulse causes another marking in the memory that is assigned to the counting wires. With the next scan, a counting pulse is read from both memories. This fact is used to block the transmission to the central recording direction.

This method is probably secure against double counting, but it requires considerable effort, i.e. H. at least two ferrite core memories of the same type with the associated program control.

Methods are also known which work with a temporal separation of the marking and reading processes. All counting wires to be monitored are normally separated from the marking lines of the ferrite core memory and lead to a common detector device which registers the presence of counting pulses and then briefly switches on the marking lines of the ferrite core memory to take over the counting pulses.

During this marking time, the scanning of the memory is stopped. However, this measure is also not sufficient to avoid double counting through divided counting pulses. It is an arrangement of z. B. two ferrite core stores, as already mentioned above, are required to eliminate this disadvantage.

The invention has now set itself the task of specifying a circuit arrangement which avoids the after parts of the known arrangements and expediently only requires a ferrite core memory. The circuit arrangement according to the invention achieves this in that a group of subscribers is assigned a non-storing diode matrix, the elements of which are scanned by a scanning device in a temporal sequence only when charging pulses are pending, the time of a complete scanning cycle being shorter than the shortest occurring charge pulse,

that according to a pending charge pulse on an element of this diode matrix after the sampling of this element, the memory element of a transfer memory assigned to it is marked, that the diode matrix and transfer memory are read at the same time during scanning and the results are compared with one another and that a marking indicating a charge pulse is only then carried out in the final memory when only the transmission memory still shows the criterion for such.

It can be ensured that all meter wires are monitored by a metering current display device for the presence of metering currents and that the scanning devices (pulse generator, pulse blocker, counter, code converter, switch, read generator) are controlled as a function of this.

Further embodiments of the invention provide that a fee pulse scanned by the diode matrix is displayed by the indicator common to the matrix, on the one hand fed to an evaluator and on the other hand is transmitted via the write generator to the transfer memory, so that the output pulse of the transfer memory is transmitted via a read amplifier Evaluator is supplied, and that the indicator of the diode matrix and the read amplifier of the transfer memory act in functional dependence on the evaluator.

The scanning device expediently contains a pulse generator which, when the pulse lock is open, advances a counter for the purpose of addressing and synchronously actuates the through-switches for the diode matrix and transfer memory via a code converter.

Advantageously, the evaluator only controls a write generator for the end memory, which is designed as a buffer memory, when activated from the read amplifier of the transfer memory, so that the identification of the scanned counting core in the meter is stored in a corresponding identification code (e.g. subscriber number) can be written into the buffer memory via a code converter. According to a further development of the invention, the recording on a central recording medium (e.g.

Punched tape, magnetic tape). If the activation of the scanning device from the counting current display device is delayed, then the scanning cycle should be reduced by this time. If the counting current display device is not energized, according to a further embodiment of the invention, the sampling device is only stopped by the pulse block when the counter for addressing the diode matrix and carry memory has been circulated at least once again.

An embodiment of the invention will now be explained in detail with reference to the drawing.

In the block diagram, only the devices required to understand the circuit arrangement are shown. In the present circuit arrangement, the counting wires of a group of participants are connected to a diode matrix via the connection. The current limiting resistors for the marking circuits are located in the interface. All resistors lead to earth via the low-resistance metering current display device. This device only responds when counting current is present on one or more counting wires and leaves the scanning devices on.

The impulse block can also be opened with a delay in order to prevent start-up caused by interfering impulses. The delay time is to be selected so that the longest interference pulse is reliably suppressed. For this reason, however, the sampling cycle must be reduced by this time. An AND circuit consisting of two diodes and a high-resistance resistor is assigned to each input of the diode matrix, with the aid of which each counter wire can be checked for potential by calling up rows and columns.

Since these intended elements have no memory effect, the diode matrix must be scanned in such a way that the scanning cycle is smaller than the shortest counting pulse. Since the counting pulses can also be of different lengths and the same counting pulse can be recorded several times, the circuit must ensure that each pulse is only registered once.

If it is assumed that the shortest counting pulse lasts 50 ms, then the sampling frequency must be 20 kHz for a group of 1000 participants. This switching frequency is generated by a pulse generator and used to control a scanning device. If the metering current display device shows metering current, a pulse block is opened and the switching pulses from the generator reach the read generator of a transfer memory and the counter for addressing both matrices.

The respective counter reading is converted in a subsequent code converter so that the corresponding points are always continuously controlled by the diode matrix and via the memory. The counting pulses are now sampled and evaluated as described below.

Once the pulse lock is open, the next pulse from the generator is sent once via the counter, code converter and switch to the point of the diode matrix to be queried and, on the other hand, via the presetting by counter, code converter and switch in connection with the read generator to the corresponding storage element of the carry memory. If there is no counting pulse in the diode matrix, then no output signal is supplied by the common indicator either, and consequently the associated memory element is not marked in the transfer memory via the write generator and the through switch.

Since the memory element in question was also not marked, there was no output pulse on the read more when reading. The evaluator of the arrangement does not receive any input signals and therefore does not yet intervene in the scanning or recording process. If the counter controls a point in the diode matrix that is acted upon by a counting pulse, the indicator supplies an output signal. The read pulse of the assigned memory element of the carry-over memory does not lead to any output signal at the read amplifier.

The evaluator is only controlled by the indicator and does not initiate any switching action in this case either. The output pulse supplied by the indicator is written into the assigned memory element of the transfer memory after scanning via a write generator. If the same counting wire is queried again in the next cycle, the indicator of the diode matrix and the sense amplifier deliver an output signal if the counting pulse is still present. Even with this control, the evaluator remains in its rest position.

If the counting pulse is still pending the next time it is scanned, the ratios are the same. Only when the diode matrix does not emit an output signal via the indicator during a subsequent scan does the signal received via the read amplifier of the transfer memory control the evaluator. It should also be noted that after each output signal on the indicator of the diode matrix, the corresponding memory element of the transfer memory is then marked.

The sampling cycle must be set so that it is smaller than the shortest charge pulse and longer than the bounce time that occurs at the beginning or end of the pulse. This type of scanning then ensures that the evaluator only responds when a charge pulse has actually been received. Even with counting pulses of different lengths, it is ensured that they are only registered once.

If the evaluator responds, then the write generator of a buffer memory is started and the identification of the interrogated counting wire, given on the basis of the counter reading, is taken over from the buffer memory via a code converter and the activated switch in the form of a corresponding identifier (e.g. subscriber number). Then the counter is incremented by the pulse generator and the scanning of the next counting wire is initiated.

Are in this way a certain number of information entered in the buffer memory, then this calls in a manner not shown, a zen tral recording device such. B. punch a strip or a tape recorder to take over this information. It is thereby achieved that the recording device does not have to be started each time the information is to be recorded. This also increases the service life of this device.

If the counting current display device now determines that there are no more counting currents, the scanning must not be stopped immediately. The information recorded in the transfer memory must first be read off. For this reason, the scanning must be continued until the counter has run again.

This is necessary for the following reason: It is assumed that a part of the meter wires has already been scanned when it is determined by the meter current display device that there is no more meter current, then the remaining meter wires are finally scanned and the counting pulses registered. But the counting wires scanned up to this point in the cycle must be scanned again. Since the starting point of the switch-off preparation can be any counting wire, you simply choose the way that all counting wires are scanned again regardless of the starting point.

The shutdown of the scanning devices can then be carried out in a simple manner by a delayed switching off of the pulse block.

The structure of the diode matrix and the transfer memory must not necessarily be chosen to be the same. It is only necessary for the carry memory to have as many storage elements as there are counting wires covered by the diode matrix. The diode matrix can e.g. B. be decadic and three-dimensional, the transfer memory as a ferrite core matrix, however, two-dimensional. In the diode matrix z. B. 10 X 10 = 100 inputs arranged in one level and then ten levels on top of each other, so that a total of 1000 inputs result.

This arrangement can be set up in a simple manner by means of 30 switching stages for switching through the units, tens and hundreds devices. In this case, a simple switching step is sufficient as an indicator. As a result of the decadal breakdown, a clear structure is achieved. The ferrite core memory can be built up in a planar arrangement and divided into rows and columns in such a way that a minimum amount of switching means is required to control the individual core.

This has a particularly beneficial effect in the code converter and through-switch of the carry memory. The write and read of the carry memory is done via row and column wires according to the known coincidence method with half currents.

The information is expediently written into the buffer memory in one for the final memory, i.e. H. code suitable for the recording medium (e.g. () characters). The subsequent transition from the buffer memory to this terminal is carried out in a manner corresponding to the recording medium. Strip punches or magnetic tape devices are primarily used as final storage. The recording media of these devices (perforated strips, magnetic tape) are removed at predetermined intervals and sent to a central billing center for billing.
