Fig. 7a zeigt das Ende des Rohres 21 mit der Längsachse 22 in Seitenansicht, Fig. 7b das gleiche in Draufsicht (Blickrichtung Pfeil VII b), Fig. 7c in Stirnansicht (Blickrichtung Pfeil VII c).
Coupling for steel and frame scaffolding To attach the horizontally running pipes or rods to the vertical parts (stems), it is known in steel scaffolding to use couplings that are designed as double screw clamps with one-piece rear jaws or are connected to one another such that they can rotate against one another.
These couplings have the disadvantage that their use is limited to the connection of similar construction elements. In addition, their assembly is relatively time-consuming. In addition, their production is complex and expensive as a result of the use of two screw clamps.
In order to avoid these disadvantages, these couplings designed as double screw clamps have to be used by coupling elements with a cam grid. These couplings consist of a ringför-shaped part, at the lower edge of which a notch is placed, which in turn engages in a cams attached to the vertical scaffold tube (handle). On the long side facing away from the notch, the ring-shaped part has a bracket in which the horizontally running parts are inserted by means of tabs and clamped by screws.
The cams, which are used to set the couplings and into which they snap by means of the notch on their lower edge, are attached to the tube serving as a stem by screws or welding and must be provided on this in sufficient numbers and at a suitable distance. In order to be able to move the clutch across the cams, the ring inside the bracket is provided with a longitudinal slot.
However, this design also shows considerable shortcomings. In particular, a sufficient number of cams must be attached to the vertically extending scaffold tubes, which makes their production considerably more expensive; the advantage of the lower manufacturing costs of the couplings is largely offset by the fact that the use of screwed-in cams causes a weakening of the pipe wall cross-section. The distance at which the individual horizontally extending elements can be attached is clearly defined by the cam distance.
Since it is also impossible to use the couplings subsequently, there is a need to always push all the couplings required onto the pipe at the beginning of the construction.
The task of the new tion described below is to avoid all of the disadvantages mentioned and to create a coupling which, on the one hand, is not too costly in terms of production technology and, on the other hand, ensures simple and easy handling. For this purpose, the coupling, according to the innovation, for steel and frame scaffolding is characterized in that it consists of a clamp with screw, eccentric or wedge lock, comprising a pipe support or rod serving as a handle, which consists of two articulated joints is composed of interconnected jaws, one of which is firmly united with a bracket,
whose continuous opening runs parallel to the longitudinal axis of the handle encompassed by the clamp. The jaw and bracket are advantageously formed in one piece and in the bracket, for example, a screw or other suitable device can be provided, with the aid of which the tabs of the construction elements used in the bracket are clamped.
The accompanying drawing shows an execution example for the idea of innovation, which is to be described in detail in the following and at the same time recognize other advantages of the innovation. leaves.
Fig. 1 shows the coupling according to the innovation in plan view, Fig. 2 in front view, seen in the direction of arrow II, Fig. 3 in rear view, seen in the direction of arrow III and Fig. 4 is a horizontal section through the hitch development corresponding to the dash-dotted line Line IV-IV.
The coupling consists of a screw clamp, which is composed in a known manner from a Rückwärtsi gene jaw 1 and an articulated with this NEN front jaw 2. According to the innovation, the bracket 3 is integrally connected to the rear jaw 1. The front jaw 2 is fork-shaped at both ends. With its fork-shaped ends 4, 4 ′ it encompasses the extension 5 located on the rear jaw 1, to which it is pivotably connected by means of the pin 6.
The rear jaw 1 has a bead 7 on the part opposite the extension 5, in the rear side of which a recess 8 is made. The wall of this bead is broken through the opening 9. The T-shaped bolt 10 is mounted in the recess 8, the part of which forming the base of the T is provided with a thread and protrudes through the opening 9. On the thread of the Bol zens 10 a nut 11 is screwed. The shape of the bolt 10 can be seen from FIG.
The transverse part 12 of the bolt is used to mount it in the recess 8 in such a way that it can be easily pivoted about the longitudinal axis of the part 12 in the opening 9. That the fork-shaped end 4, 4 'ent opposite end of the front jaw 2 is also formed if fork-shaped. If the clamp is closed, the bolt 10 can be swiveled into the slot formed by the parts 13, 13 'of this fork-shaped end and the clamp can be tightened by means of the nut 11.
The on the rear part of the jaw 1 vorgese hene bracket 3 has a rectangular cross-section. Its width x corresponds approximately to the width of the clamp. The through opening 14, which is enclosed by the bracket 3, runs parallel to the longitudinal axis y of the clamp. In the rear part of the bracket 3 a screw 15 is provided which serves to clamp the fastening tabs introduced into the bracket of the individual mounting elements. In Fig. 6, the coupling is shown in perspective. The front jaw 2 can be reinforced by longitudinal ribs or longitudinal beads 16, 16 '.
The individual parts are dimensioned in such a way that the clamp can be opened sufficiently wide and placed around one of the tubes as a handle from the outside at any point. If the nut 11 is then tightened with the aid of an appropriate wrench after the clamp is closed, the coupling can be clamped immovably on the handle at any chosen height. There are no special organs on the tube used as a handle.
The elements to be mounted horizontally are each provided at their ends with lugs that engage in the bracket 3 of the coupling. Such La rule can be attached to round assembly parts (tubes, rods), either in such a way that they coincide in terms of area with the longitudinal axis of the element or stand perpendicular to it, as well as on differently shaped parts such as frames, angles - or U-beams etc.
FIGS. 7a-c show a lug attached in the longitudinal direction, and FIGS. 8a, b a lug attached in the transverse direction to a tube to be used, for example, as a railing. 7a shows the end of the tube 21 with the longitudinal axis 22 in a side view, FIG. 7b shows the same in plan view (direction of view arrow VII b), FIG. 7c in front view (direction of view arrow VII c).
Fig. 8a shows the end of the tube 23 with the transverse strap 24 in side view, Fig. 8b the same in side view (viewing direction arrow VIII b). In Fig. 9, the end of a serving to accommodate the gangplanks frame 25 is shown in U-shape with a Längla cal 26: The thickness of the tabs, or the dimensions of the bracket 3 (Fig. 1, 4, 6) are in their mutual relationship selected so that there is always space for at least two tabs next to each other in the bracket.
After inserting the tabs, the screw 15 is tightened to such an extent that the element or elements set are ind.
Such an attachment is shown in FIG. The reference numbers correspond to those of the preceding description; with 27 the vertical ste standing stem is called.
Instead of fixing the fastening tabs of the individual assembly elements to be introduced into the bracket 3 by means of a fastening screw 15, other types of fastening means can also be provided for this purpose. It is possible, for example, to design the rear part 3 'of the bracket 3 so that its surfaces do not run parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bracket opening, but would intersect at a certain distance from the bracket edge if extended accordingly.
A wedge 31 inserted between the rear wall 3 'of the bracket and the tabs of the mounting elements can then be used to fix the tabs. This wedge can advantageously be movably connected to the coupling in order to avoid its loss. This connection can be made, for example, by means of a chain, but it is also possible to provide the wedge with a slot and connect it directly to the rear wall of the bracket 3 with a loose rivet connection, for example.
In Figures 11 to 13, an Ausführungsbei is shown game for a clutch of this type. The wedge 31 shows a U-shaped cross section. The slot-shaped opening 32 is provided in its web, through which the fastening rivet 33 engages, with the aid of which the wedge is permanently connected to the bracket 3. The rivet 33 is located at the same point at which the fastening screw 15 was provided in the previous example; it is arranged so loosely that the wedge 31 can easily be pushed back and forth by means of the slot 32.
FIG. 11 shows the coupling in a top view, the bracket 3, the fastening wedge 31 and the fastening tab 25 of the inserted frame being cut along the dash-dotted line XI-XI in FIG. It is easy to see that the fastening strap 25 is pressed by the two beveled flanges 34, 34 'against the wall 3 ″ of the bracket 3 which is firmly connected to the screw clamp.
FIG. 12 shows a side view of the coupling, seen in the direction of the arrow p in FIG. 11 and partially in section corresponding to the dashed and dotted line XII-XII in FIG. 11.
13a-c show the wedge, namely FIG. 13a in a plan view corresponding to the arrow q in FIG. 12, FIG. 13b a side view, FIG. 13e a view from below.
The coupling according to the innovation can of course also have a shape deviating from the examples given. In particular for the screw clamp, which is already known in various designs, any shape can be selected. For example, the jaws of the clamp can be articulated to one another in another way. The fastening screw 10 can also be designed or attached differently. Instead of the screw 10, a different type of fastening can be used, for example by means of an organ as an eccentric, or the coupling can be designed as a wedge coupling. The bracket 3 can also be given a different shape.
The coupling according to the innovation can also be produced in the most varied of ways, both with regard to the production method itself and with regard to the material. For example, the rear jaw with the bracket can be made in one piece from malleable cast iron. On the other hand, the parts can be drop-forged and, if necessary, subsequently connected to one another by welding, or the individual parts are made from flat steel by stamping and stamping processes.
