Remote-controlled ignition safety device for gas-heated devices
The switching device controlled by an electric motor can be actuated and with the switching device a valve body arranged in the ignition gas line can be brought into its open position against the action of a spring, the valve body being held in the open position by an armature connected to the valve body by an electromagnet which is operated by Thermal current is excited by a thermocouple acted upon by the flame of the pilot burner.
According to patent no. 388 226, such an ignition safety device contains a solenoid valve in the main gas line, which only receives power at the end of a switching sequence and then releases the gas supply to the main burner.
The invention is based on the object of creating an ignition safety device which has a simpler construction than that of the above-mentioned patent in that the complex solenoid valve arranged separately from the ignition safety device is omitted.
The invention consists in that the valve body controls not only the ignition gas supply, but also the gas supply to the main burner, and that, viewed in the direction of flow of the gas, an auxiliary valve body is connected downstream of the valve body, which only controls the gas supply to the main burner and is also controlled by the electric motor becomes. The auxiliary valve body can be loaded by a closing spring and by a switching element arranged on the shaft of the electric motor, for. B. eccentric, are raised against the action of the closing spring in its open position. Furthermore, the eccentric can operate the valve body and the auxiliary valve body in opposite directions at the same time.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing in the rest position.
The main burner 10 to be secured is connected to a gas supply line 11 and 11 'with the interposition of a known thermoelectric ignition fuse 13. This is divided by three partitions into four chambers, one of which contains a U-shaped electromagnet 14, which is connected to a double line 15 with a Thermocouple 16 is connected. An armature plate 17, which is fastened to a valve rod 18 guided through the chamber walls, is provided opposite the magnetic poles. This valve rod is also provided with a valve body 20 loaded by a closing spring 19 and with a driver 21 outside the ignition fuse housing 13.
An ignition gas line 22 leads from the ignition fuse 13 to the ignition burner 23.
Two lines 24 and 25 lead from an alternating current network (not shown) to the switching device accommodated in the switch housing 26. A main switch 27 is arranged in the supply line 24. Lines to a relay 28 branch off from lines 24 and 25. The line 24 is continued to a changeover contact 29 between two fixed contacts 291 and 292. The changeover contact 29 rests resiliently on the driver 21 of the valve rod 18.
A second changeover contact 30 presses resiliently on a cam roller or a contact pin 321 and is alternately in contact with the fixed contacts 301 or 302. A line 36 leads to the motor connection via the changeover contacts 29 and 30

311 on an electric motor 31. The second motor connection 312 is connected to the line 25. A cam disk 32 and an eccentric 33 are placed on a shaft of the electric motor 31. The eccentric 33 can move the valve rod 18 axially via a spring 34.
A frame 44 hangs on the eccentric 33 and is fixedly connected to an auxiliary valve body 42 under the action of a closing spring 43 via a guide part 45. A branch leads from the line 36 to the primary winding 371 of an ignition transformer 37 and on to the line 25.
The secondary winding 372 of the ignition transformer 37 is connected by the double line 38 to an ignition coil 39 in front of the ignition burner 23. A thermostat 41 can be arranged in the line 24.
The operation of the ignition safety device is described below.
In the rest position, fuel gas can initially only flow in line 11 as far as the closed valve body 20.
If the main switch 27, which can be attached far away from the switch housing 26 and the burner 10, is closed, the relay 28 first receives current, which closes the still currentless thermal circuit. The electrical current flows in line 24, via thermostat 41 to switchover contact 29, via fixed contact 291, line 36 to motor connection 311, sets electric motor 31 in motion and flows off via motor connection 312 into line 25. In addition, the transformer 37 receives energy from the line 36 and thus the ignition coil 39 becomes glowing. No gas flows out of the pilot burner 23 yet.
The electric motor rotates a cam plate 32 z. B. with two revolutions per minute and lifts the contact pin 321 at the beginning of the rotation. The changeover contact 30 closes the fixed contact 301 without a change in the current flow being achieved as a result. The eccentric 33 rotates together with the cam disk 32. The closing spring 43 keeps the frame 44 in constant contact with the eccentric 33 and closes the auxiliary valve body 42 after half a rotation. At the same time, the eccentric 33 presses on its circular path via the spring 34 on the Valve stem 18.
As a result, the valve body 20 opens against the action of the closing spring 19 and releases the ignition gas via the ignition gas line 22 to the ignition burner 23. The gas immediately ignites at the glowing ignition coil 39 and heats the thermocouple 16.
With the valve body 20, the armature plate 17 also moves downwards and rests against the poles of the electromagnet 14, which, excited by the thermal current generated by the thermocouple, holds the armature plate 17 in place. In addition, the driver 21 presses the changeover contact 29, which separates from the fixed contact 291 and rests against the fixed contact 292. The current now flows from the fixed contact 292 to the changeover contact 30 and via the fixed contact 301 to the electric motor 31 and to the ignition transformer 37. Since the armature plate 17 is held on the electromagnet 14, the valve rod remains in this position, even when the eccentric 33 returns.
In contrast, the eccentric 33 lifts the frame 44 during the return movement, so that the auxiliary valve body 42 releases the gas supply to the main burner against the action of the spring 43.
When the eccentric 33 and the cam disk 32 have completed a full revolution, the contact pin 321 falls into the flat area of the cam disk 32 and thus opens the contact 301. The electric motor 31 and the ignition transformer 32 are de-energized. This ends a switching cycle, the switching device is again at rest and ready for a new switching order.
If the main switch 27 is opened, the relay 28 drops out, the thermal circuit is interrupted, the armature plate 17 is released from the electromagnet 14, the valve rod 18 moves under the pressure of the spring 19 to the stop on the spring 34. This interrupts the valve body 20 the supply of gas to the main burner 10 and of pilot gas to the pilot burner 23.
This ignition safety device ensures that, firstly, the switching elements involved in the ignition process of the pilot burner 23 remain in operation for the duration of a switching cycle and that temporary faults, such as air in the ignition gas line, remain ineffective without human help, and secondly, when the flames go out Repetition of the switching cycle is initiated as long as the main switch 27 is closed. Thirdly, it is achieved that the shutdown is effected solely by opening the main switch 27. A signal lamp can be connected to the fixed contact 302, which is not in any circuit.
