Description

Drainage device at the low-pressure stage of a steam turbine It is a well-known operational necessity in steam turbine construction to take precautions to drain the water that falls out, especially in the low-pressure part, since the water film that forms on the guide vane walls is caused by the drag effect of the steam to the outlet edge of the Guide vanes are moved, there forms droplets which, when they have reached a certain size,

detach themselves from the edge of the guide vane, but are only inadequately blown by the steam jet and therefore cause severe erosion on the leading edge of the following rotor blade. It is therefore necessary to protect the leading edge of the rotor blades against this erosion effect by using stellite supports or by hardening the blade material.

In addition, however, the braking resulting from the impact of such water droplets also results in a reduction in efficiency of the low pressure levels of several percent.

The water thrown out in the rotor blades as a result of the changes in direction also forms a film on the rotor blade, which due to the effect of the centrifugal force flows almost purely radially outwards. On this effect, the known measures for water suction are based, in which in the turbine housing behind the blades accordingly shaped grooves and gaps are provided who collect the water thrown from the blades and pass it into the condenser.

The disadvantage here is that the water in the relevant stage has already done the damage (erosion and braking) and actually only protects the next stage. Therefore, these measures, in particular for the last stage, which has the greatest circumferential speed and the greatest water content, are only inadequately effective. Also, only a small part of the water thrown out is actually caught by such catchment grooves.

It is also known; to design the guide vanes of the low pressure stages of steam turbines as hollow blades, to connect the vane cavities with a space of lower pressure, for example with the step space of one of the subsequent stages or with the condenser, and to provide the vane wall with openings through which the guide is located - shovel the precipitating water film is sucked off

According to a recent proposal, these openings in the guide vane wall are arranged directly in front of the trailing edge of the guide vane.

However, this solution is not entirely satisfactory in that part of the water film formed can still flow over the webs remaining between the suction slots past the slots to the rear edge of the blade, from where it does not come off directly, however, according to more recent findings, which is due to the low thickness such a film would be practically harmless, but in the stream shadow, i.e. in the separation area behind the finite width of the trailing edge, drops slowly form,

which, due to the surface tension, adhere to the trailing edge until they have become so great that the surface tension is no longer sufficient to hold them together and adhering to the trailing edge and are swept away by the steam flow.

Such drops are insufficiently blown and because of their large mass only very little be accelerated, so that they impinge with almost the full circumferential speed relative to the blades of the following blade ring and cause erosion and braking losses there.

The aim of the present invention is to improve the drainage of the low-pressure stages of steam turbines by sucking the water film deposited on the guide vane wall into the interior of the hollow guide vanes through openings provided in the blade wall so that the suction openings in the outlet edge of the Shovel are arranged.

This means that the suction is carried out at the point where large drops would form, even if the known arrangement of suction slots directly in front of the trailing edge of a guide vane is used,

because the water supply to the outlet edge through the known suction slits cannot be completely prevented from coming through the film that forms on the guide vane wall and the trailing edge of the guide vanes and the adjacent detachment area also through steam condensing there, through water droplets, which only occur after the known Suction slots occur on the guide vane,

is fed by water droplets thrown back, by a current along the blade axis, etc.

Expediently, a suction opening is used. Provided over the entire height of the outlet edge or a gap running over the outer part of the guide vane outlet edge, so that a double outlet edge with sharp edges is created. The width of the edges is expediently only a few tenths of a millimeter with a gap of about 1/2 to 1 mm at the narrowest point. The trailing edge is therefore made up of two metal sheets or

Blade parts formed, which are designed so that the entire area of the separation zone (dead water in the steam flow) behind the finite width of the guide blade trailing edge is covered by the suction of the suction gap. This is expediently achieved by sharpening the two edges from the inside, roughly corresponding to FIGS. 2 and 4.

The water film flowing along the guide vane to its trailing edge can easily flow around the two sharp edges into the suction gap due to its low thickness. Should larger droplets form in the gap, they are not only moved into the gap by the suction, but also by the surface tension. A drop stuck there can hardly be torn loose by the steam flow.

Rather, it is captured and removed by the suction system with great security. Embodiments of the invention are described below.

Fig. 1 shows a stator for a stage of an LP steam turbine, in which blades made of sheet metal 1 are used. These are connected to the inner ring 2 and the outer ring 3, which leaves a cavity 4 free in the housing, this cavity connecting the cavities in the interior of the guide vanes to one another.

This cavity is connected to a lower pressure space, such as the condenser. A cross section through the guide vanes 1 bent from sheet metal is shown in FIG. The suction gap 5 extends over the entire length of the outlet edge and is designed by appropriately sharpening the sheets so that

that it covers the entire area between the streamline 6 going out from the belly side of the guide vane and the streamline 7 going out from the rear of the guide vane with its suction effect. The mean stream line and the mean inflow and mean from flow direction are shown in Fig. 2 as a dashed line 8.

Another constructive solution is shown in Fig.3. Guide blades 9 milled or forged from the solid are used here. These are milled out in the outer part and connected to a correspondingly shaped plate 10, for example by welding, so that a cavity is created in the outer part of the guide vane, as shown in FIG.
