Description

Door All doors made of wood, regardless of the way the wood is processed and glued, tend to warp, as even the oldest wood is still working. There are also known doors that consist of a wooden frame which is divided into several fields by cross struts, these fields being filled with insulation panels, wood shavings or the like, and then a layer of plywood is glued on both sides.

Attempts have recently been made to apply a plastic sheet to the plywood layer. However, none of these remarks have been able to prevent the wood from working.

When the outer layer of plywood or the plastic lining is glued on, bubbles very often arise, which lift this layer from the base. Such bubbles occur if the adhesive is not applied evenly to the base.

The object of the invention is to eliminate the deficiencies indicated and to create a door that can no longer warp and as a result seals a wall-free against the frame and against the floor.

This object of the invention is achieved in that a circumferential reinforcement made of a light metal alloy is applied on both sides of a wooden frame divided into several fields, which in turn carries a plastic cover that fully covers the door leaf on both sides. The reinforcement is expediently made of light metal angles that run around the edges of the wooden room,

as well as light metal flat profiles that rest on the intermediate struts of the wooden frame. The connection between the light metal reinforcement and the wooden frame is expediently carried out using wood screws with countersunk heads, which, with play, engage through corresponding holes in the light metal profiles,

while the light metal reinforcement can be connected to the plastic panels on both sides with an adhesive. The upper and the side edges of the wooden frame and the legs of the light metal brackets surrounding the edges are advantageously covered by edge strips.

In the fields of the wooden frame which are filled with an insulating material, spacer bolts adjustable in length can be arranged, the large-area heads of which are glued to the plastic panels. The lower cross bar of the wooden frame can be offset upwards by about the thickness of the door and a roller made of soft plastic can be arranged in the resulting cavity, the axis of which is mounted in grooves in the vertical bars of the wooden frame and pressed by springs towards the floor becomes.

An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.

Fig. 1 shows the wooden frame with the light metal reinforcement, Fig. 2 shows on a larger scale a cross section in the plane A-A according to Fng. 1, Fig. 3 shows a cross section in the plane B-B according to Fig. 1 and Fig. 4 schematically the attachment of the light metal reinforcement on the wooden frame.

In the illustrated embodiment, the wooden frame 1 has two cross struts 1a and 1b, so that three fields x, y and z are created. The cavities in these fields are filled with a suitable sound and heat insulating agent. A metal reinforcement 2, which, as can be seen in FIG. 2, consists of circumferential angle profiles, lies on the wooden frame 1.

Over the cross struts la, 1b, the light metal reinforcement consists of flat profiles 2a: For reasons of stability, the edge angles 2 can merge into the flat profiles 2a by means of triangles, the latter being welded to the triangle 3. But since the frame with the light metal angles on top is already sufficiently stiff, the flat profiles 2a can be formed separately and screwed onto the cross struts la and 1b.

The screwing takes place according to FIG. 4 by simple wood screws 10 with countersunk heads; where, however, in the holes 9 of the light metal reinforcement there remains sufficient play for the screws to move laterally.

Around the frame edge of the door there is a veneer 6 that closes off the plastic panels 5 on the other side. This edge band runs around both long sides and around the top of the door. In the case of very large doors, it is useful to arrange a stiffener for the plastic panels 5 within the individual fields x, y, z. This is done by means of spacer bolts 4a, which are designed in the manner of screw dowels.

The heads 4 of the screws are large and completely flat. The length between the outer edges of the heads corresponds exactly to the distance between the inner surfaces of the panels 5, so that the heads can be glued to the panels and thus result in a fixed abutment at the points of greatest bending moment of the panels 5.

The lower transverse strip of the wooden frame 1 is, as can be seen from Fig. 3,. About the door thickness upwards ver, so that a cavity is created between the light metal reinforcements on both sides. In this cavity, a roller 6 made of soft plastic is set.

The axis 7 is stored in grooves of the vertical sides strive of the wooden frame 1 and is pressed down by Fe countries 8 so that the roller always rests against the floor 11 and seals it, but on the other hand, when the door opens, runs over bumps, carpets or the like.

Due to the special construction of the door according to the invention, the inner wooden frame can work without the door itself being able to warp and therefore always lies snugly against the frame frame and seals properly.
