Man kann das erfindungsgemässe Verfahren z. B. in schwach saurem, z. B. die Alkalisalze von niederen Fettsäuren, z. B.
Na-Acetat, genannt werden, als säureabstumpfende und säureneutralisierende Mittel für Kupplungen in schwach saurem Milieu können z. B. genannt werden: Soda, Mg- Carbonat, Mg-Hydroxyd oder sonstige basische Metall oxyde oder Metallcarbonate.
Man kann mit Hilfe des erfindungsgemässen Verfah rens je nach der chemischen Natur der eingesetzten Kupplungskomponenten sehr wertvolle und brauchbare Azofarbstoffe für die verschiedensten Anwendungs zwecke erhalten.
Als zur Metallkomplexbildung befähigte Substituen- ten können z. B. genannt werden: OH, SH, wobei die OH- oder SH-Gruppen ganz besonders vorteilhaft tosy- liert oder mit Schwefelsäure verestert sind, NH., COOH, COSH, OCH2COOH, SCH2COOH, SCH2COSH, Halo genatome, vorzugsweise Chlor- oder Bromatome, nie deres O-Alkyl,
vorzugsweise Methoxy- und Äthoxyreste, niederes S-Alkyl, z. B. SCH3, SC2H., ferner COOCH3, COSCH3, Sulfonamidgruppen usw.
Vorzugsweise ste hen die zur Metallkomplexbildung befähigten Substi- tuenten in den nach dem erfindungsgemässen Verfahren hergestellten Azofarbstoffen in Nachbarstellung zu Azo- brücken.
Die nach dem erfindungsgemässen Verfahren einge setzten Tetrazoniumverbindungen können beliebige Sub- stituenten tragen, z. B. Azobrücken, Carboxyl, Sulfon- säuregruppen, Alkyl- oder Arylsulfonylgruppen, z. B.
Methylsulfongruppen, Alkyl- oder substituierte Alkyl- gruppen wie Hydroxyalkyl oder Hydroxyalkylamino- alkyl, Cyanalkyl, Halogenalkyl, Phosphonsäuregruppen, Alkoxygruppen, Aroxygruppen, Arylgruppen wie Phenyl- oder Naphthylreste, Nitrogruppen, Cyangruppen,
Vinyl- sulfongruppen oder in Vinylsulfongruppen überführbare Reste, Halogenatome, besonders Fluor, Chlor oder Brom, ferner Acylreste wie Acetyl, Acylaminoreste wie Acetylaminoreste, araliphatische Reste, heterocyclische Reste.
Die für das erfindungsgemässe Verfahren einge setzten Tetrazoniumverbindungen können sowohl der aromatischen als auch der heterocyclischen Reihe ange hören und können ferner noch Substituenten tragen, die zur Farbstoffbildung befähigen oder die austauschbaren Wasserstoff enthalten.
Sind zur Bildung von Azofarb- stoffen befähigende Substituenten vorhanden, so können aus den nach dem erfindungsgemässen Verfahren erhal tenen Azofarbstoffen durch weitere Azokupplung Poly- azofarbstoffe hergestellt werden. Als zur Azofarbstoff- bildung befähigende Substituenten kommen z. B. in Be tracht diazotierbare Aminogruppen oder in solche über führbare Substituenten, z.
B. reduzierbare Nitro- oder leicht hydrolysierbare Acylaminogruppen, oder aber kupplungsfähige Kohlenstoffatome. Enthalten die Sub- stituenten austauschbaren Wasserstoff, so können in die nach dem erfindungsgemässen Verfahren erhaltenen Azofarbstoffe Reste eingeführt werden, welche einen als Anion leicht abspaltbaren Substituenten und / oder eine leicht zur Addition befähigte C-C-Mehrfachbildung auf weisen.
Derart umgesetzte Farbstoffe können als Reak- tivfarbstoffe verwendet werden.

Lösungen von Alkaliseifen höherer Fettsäuren, Kolophoniumseifen oder Emulsio- nen von Fetten, Paraffinen, Wachsen oder fetten Ölen oder von Weichmachern, wie sie in der Lack- und Kunst stoffindustrie üblich sind, verwenden. Man kann das er- findungsgemässe Verfahren auch unter Anwendung und Beachtung der Lehren und Techniken der Optimierungs methoden durchführen. Man kann die Kupplungen z. B. so durchführen, dass man anfänglich bei niedern Tem peraturen, z. B. bei 0 bis 10 C kuppelt und dann die Kupplungslösung auf höhere Temperaturen, z. B. 30 bis 80 C bringt.
Die nach dem erfindungsgemässen Verfahren erhal tenen metallisierbaren Azofarbstoffe können mit metall abgebenden Mitteln z. B. in an sich bekannter Weise metallisiert werden. So kann man z. B. die Kupferung mit komplexen Cu-Aminverbindungen aus Ammoniak, Pyridin, Alkylamin, z. B. Oxyäthylamin, Cu-Tetramin- verbindungen durchführen.
Man kann die Metallisierung auch durchführen mit farbigen oder nicht farbigen me tallhaltigen organischen Verbindungen, welche befähigt sind, mit komplexierbaren und komplexbildenden Azo- farbstoffen Metallkomplexe zu bilden. Für diesen Zweck können z. B. bestimmte Azometallkomplexe verwendet werden, welche sich mit anderen komplexierbaren Azo- farbstoffen vereinigen und binden. Die Metallisierung kann z.
B. in wässrig-ammoniakalischer Lösung oder or ganischer Lösung oder Suspension, beispielsweise in Ge genwart von Fettsäureamiden wie Dimethylformamid, Formamid oder Tetrahydrofuran offen oder unter Druck bei erhöhter Temperatur durchgeführt werden. Auch bei der Durchführung der Metallisierung kann man Zusätze verwenden, z. B. oberflächenaktive Verbindungen wie Netzmittel, Dispergiermittel, und / oder Schutzstoffe, z. B.
Lösungen von Alkaliseifen von höheren Fettsäu ren, Kolophoniumseifen oder Emulsionen von Fetten, Paraffinen, Wachsen oder fetten Ölen oder von Weich machern, um Pigmente weicher Textur zu erhalten. Die Metallisierung kann in Substanz oder aber auf der Faser erfolgen. Falls die nach dem erfindungsgemässen Ver fahren erhaltenen metallisierten oder nicht metallisier ten Azofarbstoffe Sulfogruppen enthalten und wasserlös lich sind, so können diese Azofarbstoffe mit lackbilden den Metallen, z.
B. Calcium, Strontium, Barium oder Blei, an den Sulfongruppen verlackt werden. Ferner können die nach dem erfindungsgemässen Verfahren er haltenen Azofarbstoffe nachträglich auf die verschieden ste Art und Weise auf chemischem Wege umgesetzt wer den.
Die nach dem erfindungsgemässen Verfahren herge stellten Azofarbstoffe, vorzugsweise in metallisierter Form, können, gegebenenfalls unter Zusatz von organi schen Binde- und / oder Verdünnungsmitteln, in die nö tige Gebrauchsform, z. B. in Pulver, Teige, halbfeste oder feste Konzentrate, übergeführt werden.
Die nach dem erfindungsgemässen Verfahren hergestellten Azo- farbstoffe, vorzugsweise in metallisierter Form, können mit den verschiedensten Applikationsmethoden je nach ihrer chemischen Konstitution als Pigment-, Lack-, Druck- oder Textilfarbstoffe Verwendung finden. So kann man z. B. mit diesen Azofarbstoffen Wolle, Nylon, Seide, Spinnmassen, Fette, Schmierfette, Öle, Schmier öle, Harze, Lacke, Schmelzen, Wachse oder polymere Massen mit oder ohne Zusätze anorganischer oder orga nischer Natur färben.
Man kann auch Textilgewebe mit diesen Farbstoffen bedrucken.
In dem Beispiel bedeuten die Teile, sofern nichts anderes angegeben ist, Gewichtsteile. Die Gewichtsteile verhalten sich zu den Volumteilen wie g zu cm3. <I>Beispiel</I> Benzidin-3,3'-dicarbonsäure Cyanessigsäureanilid 1:2, 28,5 Teile Benzidin-3,3'-dicarbonsäure (techni sches Produkt, etwa 20o/oig) in 100 Volumteilen Wasser und 15 Volumteilen Salzsäure konz. werden auf 70 C erwärmt. Man lässt erkalten und tetrazotiert mit 3 Tei len Nitrit bei 10 bis 12 C etwa 1 Stunde lang.
Andererseits löst man 6,7 Teile Cyanessigsäureani- lid in 50 Teilen Dimethylformamid, bringt dann bei 10 C in diese Lösung die Tetrazoniumverbindung ein und lässt nun so lange eine gesättigte Sodalösung unter starkem Turbinieren eintropfen, bis das pH stark soda- alkalisch ist. Man lässt nun die Temperatur der gelben Kupplungslösung langsam im Verlaufe mehrerer Stun den bis auf Raumtemperatur ansteigen und säuert mit Salzsäure an.
Man erhält ein braungelbes Pulver.
Herstellung der Metallkomplexe auf Wolle und Ny lon: Man löst den Farbstoff in wenig Eisessig durch Er wärmen, giesst diese Lösung unter starkem Rühren in viel Wasser ein, erwärmt und geht mit der vorgenetzten Faser ein. Dabei zieht der Farbstoff bei höheren Tem peraturen (etwa 70 bis 80 C) auf die Faser oder das Gewebe. Nach kürzerer Zeit setzt man die äquivalente Menge einer Lösung von Cu-Sulfat, Co-Nitrat, Ni-Sulfat in Wasser oder von CrFs in Formamid zu.
