Coupling for detachable connection of high-pressure pipes Most couplings for connecting high-pressure pipelines include two connection nipples, which must be connected mechanically and pressure-tight to one of the two pipe or hose ends to be coupled, as well as at least two connecting elements, preferably screw sleeves for pulling together the Nipple, sealing rings are used at suitable Stel len.
The mechanically stable and pressure-tight connection of the connection nipple with the line end is difficult to establish in many cases. In addition, it is no longer possible with most known couplings after the coupling is closed, to twist the tubes relative to each other and relative to the coupling or to bend them somewhat against one another.
Another disadvantage of the known high-pressure pipe couplings is that to establish the desired pipe connection and to disconnect the connection, not only - as would be desirable - a mutual transverse displacement of the pipe ends, but first an axial relative displacement of the pipe ends must be made . Another disadvantage of all known pressure pipe couplings is that the pipe ends to be connected have to be equipped with unequal, complementary fittings and that pipe ends with the same equipment cannot be coupled together.
Furthermore, appropriate safety devices must be used to prevent the screwed coupling parts from loosening.
The invention is based on a known type of coupling of a special kind, but also has almost all of the deficiencies mentioned th. It is a coupling for the detachable connection of round, smooth-surfaced high-pressure tubes, which are each provided with an annular bead at a predetermined distance on their end face to be connected, against which ring would bulge when the coupling is closed, sleeves displaceable coaxially on the tubes from the outside at least when the pipeline is pressurized.
In the known coupling of this type, the pipe ends provided with the annular beads are pushed axially into a T-profile ring. In the spaces between the inner surface of the T-profile ring, the outer sides of the respective annular beads and the outer surface of the pipe in question, sealing rings are inserted ben.
In order to press the sealing rings, the front ends are driven in by sleeves which can be moved coaxially on the tubes; that union screw sleeves, which are supported with a collar part on each a round surface of the sleeves mentioned and overlap the T-profile ring, are screwed together.
According to the present invention, the above-defined pressure pipe coupling of known type is characterized in that the displaceable sleeves are designed to hold a cylindrical sealing sleeve loosely inserted between their inner surfaces and the outer pipe surfaces to bridge the separation point, the O- Contains rings made of rubber-elastic sealing material, which, in cooperation with the pipe outer surfaces, cause the pipe connection to be sealed ,
and that said holding sleeves are designed for mutual releasable connection.
After releasing their connection, the retaining sleeves can be pushed away from the separation point on the pipes. As a result, the previously covered cylindri cal sealing sleeve is accessible and can be pushed on one pipe end against the annular bead, so that afterwards the previously connected pipe ends in the radial direction, i. H. can be adjusted transversely to the pipe axes relative to one another and thus separated from one another.
The O-rings in the sealing sleeve can be moved back and forth with the sealing sleeve on the smooth, straight pipe ends without impairing their sealing effect and do not require any compression in the axial direction. Accordingly, the sealing sleeve only has to be held loosely by the holding sleeves against axial displacements of greater extent.
Because the supports on the outside of the annular beads of the pipe ends do not have to be tight, but only have to mechanically prevent the pipe ends from being drifted apart, they can easily be designed so that they twist the pipe ends relative to the connected coupling parts as well as a certain mutual kinking of the allow coupled pipes to all sides, at least as long as the pipeline is not under pressure.
However, it has been shown that such relative movements of the coupled pipe ends are also possible under pressure, which is of great advantage especially when using vehicles and vibrating machines.
Advantageously, the inside diameters of the two holding sleeves correspond to the outside diameters of the annular beads on the pipe ends and the holding sleeves have inwardly protruding annular shoulders adapted to the annular bead profiles on their outer front ends and inner ring surfaces offset on their facing ends for receiving the sealing sleeve.
With particular advantage, the facing ends of the holding sleeves are designed to be plugged into one another in order to be able to avoid screw connections. It is expediently provided that claws separated from one another by gaps are formed on the ends of the two holding sleeves that can be plugged into one another, which claws each fit into the gaps between the claws of the counter-sleeve, and that the free claw ends are profiled on the outside so as to
d'ass when plugged together an annular groove for inserting a locking ring is formed.
Such retaining sleeves can be designed to be congruent to one another and manufactured as cold-pressed parts who the.
Embodiments of pressure pipe couplings according to the invention are shown in the drawing. 1 shows a closed coupling in cross section along the line I -I of FIG. 2, FIG. 2 shows the closed coupling in a longitudinal view, half cut along the line II II of FIG. 1,
3 shows the coupling according to FIGS. 1 and 2 in the representation according to FIG. 2 in the separated state, FIGS. 4, 5 and 6 are views of different embodiments of the locking ring compared to FIG. 1, FIGS. 7 and 8 show an axial section and one Cross section through a second embodiment of the coupling.
According to the drawing, two high-pressure-resistant pipes made of solid material, preferably seamlessly drawn steel or copper pipes 11, 12 of a hydraulic or pneumatic apparatus system, are to be coupled to one another in a detachable but leak-proof manner.
Both tubes, the diameter of which may now be in the order of magnitude of about 10, are each provided with an outwardly directed annular bead 110 or 120 at a distance of roughly the same order of magnitude at the open end faces.
These annular beads can be formed, for example, with the help of a hydraulic apparatus at the tube end, which is smooth in itself, that an extremely high pressure of, for example, 3000-4000 atmospheres is generated in the relevant zone, which is enclosed from the outside by a two-part die The material of the pipe wall is stressed up to the flow limit and is pressed into the correspondingly profiled inner groove of the die tool.
A holding sleeve 21 or 22 made of steel or other tough material is pushed onto both tubes 11 and 12 beforehand or from the other side. Both holding sleeves are preferably designed exactly con gruent to one another. At their outer ends, they each have an annular shoulder 210 and 220 on the inside, the profile of which is adapted to the outer profile of the ring beads 110, 120 on the tubes 11, 12. On the opposing inner ends of the holding sleeves 11, 12, separated by milled gaps, three or four claws 211 and 221 are formed so that the claws 211 of a holding sleeve 21 with little play in the gaps between the claws 221 of the other holding sleeve 22 fit in "and vice versa.
The claws are each provided with an outwardly protruding collar 212 or 222 at their free ends. The flanks of the collars 212 and 222 facing the closed sleeve parts 21 and 22 are profiled in such a way that after the two holding sleeves have been plugged together, the collars of the claws form an annular groove for inserting a locking spring ring 30.
1 and 2, the open spring washer, which consists of spring steel round wire, is angled at the ends to form radially protruding arms 31, which are held in a clamping sleeve 32, possibly glued in, so that the spring washer cannot be opened unintentionally , whereby the holding sleeves would be separated from each other.
If axially protruding spring washer ends are undesirable, a cover sleeve 300, which is shown in phantom in Fig. 2, can also be pushed over a spring ring 30 placed on the front ends with inner cone stops and in the middle with a gerun det profiled annular groove.
The holding sleeves 21, 22 or their claws 211, 222 contain puncture surfaces 213 and 223 on the inside, through which, in the assembled state, an inner annular groove is created, into which a cylindrical sealing sleeve 40 fits. The inner diameter of this sealing sleeve is the outer diameter of the two pressure pipes 21 and 22 so that the sealing sleeve can be easily pushed over the two pipe ends with little play.
So-called O-rings 41, 42, consisting of round profiled, rubber-elastic sealing material, are inserted into the inside turned-out annular grooves of the sealing sleeve 40, which in cooperation with the outer surfaces of the tubes 21, 22 prevent the pressurized medium from expanding.
The axial forces generated by the pressure, which strive to drive the two tubes away from the separating point, are transmitted to the holding sleeves 21 and 22 via the annular beads 110, 120 and the inner beads 210, 220. The closing spring 30 inserted behind the collar 212 or 222 of the claws 21 or 22 prevents the holding sleeves from separating under the effect of the aforementioned axial thrust, so that the sealing sleeve is held in place with the O-rings.
The tubes 11, 12 remain rotatable relative to one another and relative to the holding sleeves, and a certain angling of the tubes relative to one another is still possible. The components of the coupling described can be efficiently manufactured in large numbers using simple methods, eg. B. the retaining sleeves can be cold-pressed and the sealing sleeves rotated with automatic machines.
The variant according to FIG. 4 compresses a locking ring 33 with an S-hook 34 molded onto one end, which, in cooperation with an end part 35 protruding radially at the other end, enables the previously open locking ring 33 to be closed.
The variant according to FIG. 5 shows an open locking ring 36, the two end parts 37, 38 of which are formed in an axially parallel direction so that the previously narrow ring can be opened by pressing the end parts together.
6 shows that both ends of a spring steel ring 39, which is open per se, can be provided with right or left-hand threads and can be pulled against each other with the aid of a double nut sleeve 390 provided with a keyhole 391 to close the spring ring.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 6 and 7 is used to seal the separation point between the tubes 11 and 12 also a cylindrical up device sleeve 40 with two inside in annular grooves an O-rings 41, 42 made of rubber-elastic mate rial, which in cooperation with the smooth outer surfaces of the tubes 11 and 12 cause the seal. The retaining sleeves for holding the sealing sleeve consist of two congruent retaining shells 25, 26, each with an inner central groove for receiving the sealing sleeve and two with play on the annular beads 110, 120 of the butted tubes 11, 12 with matching grooves 251, 252 and 261, 262 respectively.
To hold the two holding shells 25, 26 together, on which neither axial nor radial forces act tren, clamping rings 271, 272 or any other suitable means are used. The clamping rings can still be secured against falling off with glue or leaf springs or otherwise.
