Description

Soap dispenser The invention relates to a soap dispenser with a feed pump for dispensing liquid soap in portions. It sets itself the task of designing such a soap dispenser in such a way that a refill bottle can be easily inserted directly into the dispenser and that, when the refill bottle is empty, the dispenser continues to operate for a certain time until it is replaced by a new bottle Can dispense soap.

The soap dispenser according to the invention is characterized in that a reservoir is connected to the pump inlet which carries an attachment provided with a thread, to which a refill bottle provided with a corresponding thread can be connected, a mandrel being arranged inside the attachment, which when connecting a refill bottle pierces an end wall of the same.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the soap dispenser according to the invention is shown in. A schematic vertical section.

The soap dispenser shown has a soap container which comprises a reservoir 1 on which a refill bottle 2 made of plastic is placed. The bottle 2 is screwed into a steep thread having the screw base 3 on the reservoir 1 is. Inside the base 3, the reservoir 1 carries a mandrel 4 which is designed to pierce a skin that closes its mouth when a new refill bottle 2 is screwed on, so that the soap liquid runs from the bottle 2 into the reservoir 1.

In a front wall 5 of the housing of the soap dispenser, a transparent window 6 is provided in front of the reservoir 1, and the reservoir 1 itself also consists of a transparent material. Instead, the reservoir 1 could also be opaque and, in turn, have a window or a sight glass or the like behind the window 6, in which the liquid level in the reservoir can be observed. The arrangement described has the advantage that it can be determined through the window 6 when the bottle 2 is empty and a new bottle should be inserted.

At the same time, however, when the bottle 2 is empty, the soap supply present in the reservoir 1 is still available so that the soap dispenser can still be used, even if the empty bottle 2 is not replaced immediately.

Replacing the bottle 2 is very easy. Thanks to the steep threads in the screw base 3 and on the neck of the bottle 2, it takes no more than one turn to unscrew the empty bottle and screw in the new bottle. The new bottle remains closed by the wall or skin spanning the mouth of the bottle until it is inserted into the soap dispenser. When the new bottle is screwed into the base 3, the mandrel 4 then pierces this wall or skin.

For dispensing the soap, a pump is provided which comprises a piston 11 slidable in a cylinder 10. One of the cylinder 10 is supported by a flexible, elastic membrane 12, e.g. B. made of rubber, sealed. A longitudinal bore 13 in the piston 11 opens into the closed end of the cylinder 10. The longitudinal bore 13 is connected to a suction transverse bore 14 and to an outlet transverse bore 15. In the illustrated rest position of the piston 11, the suction transverse bore 14 is aligned with a suction opening 16 in the cylinder 10, which is in communication with the reservoir 1.

In this position, liquid soap flows out of the reservoir 1 under the action of gravity and / or the spring force of the membrane 12 into the closed end of the cylinder 10.

From the rest position shown, the Kol ben 11 can be pressed to the right in the drawing by means of a push button 17 and against the action of a spring 18. In this case, the connection between the suction transverse bore 14 and the suction opening 16 is first interrupted so that the soap cannot flow back into the reservoir 1.

Thereafter, by the pressure of the soap enclosed in the cylinder end, the membrane 12 is arched outwardly against its elastic elastic force in the dash-dotted line drawn position. Finally, the piston reaches its other end position, in which the outlet transverse bore 15 is aligned with an outlet opening 19 in the cylinder 10.

In this position of the piston 11, as a result of the elastic force of the membrane 12, the soap is pressed out of the cylinder end through the longitudinal bore 13, the outlet transverse bore 15, the outlet opening 19 and an outlet connection 20 connected to the latter until the Membrane 12 has again reached the flat position shown.

When the push button 17 is released again, the piston 11 is returned to its rest position by the spring 18, the elastic diaphragm 12 being curved inwardly in the position also shown in dash-dotted lines and a vacuum is created in the cylinder end.

This negative pressure is used to suck a drop still hanging on the outlet connection 20 back into the soap dispenser. For this purpose, the mouth of the outlet transverse bore 15 is widened as shown at 15a, so that it communicates with the outlet opening 19 even during part of the return movement of the piston 11.

In order to prevent soap gradually flowing past the piston 11 to the outlet opening 19 during longer operating pauses, the reservoir 1 and the bottle 2 are sealed off from the outside so that no air can flow inside them. The bottle 2 is made of elastic material, so that after the removal of soap the bottle is slightly dented and there is a small negative pressure inside it, which counteracts the outflow of soap past the piston 11.

This negative pressure should of course only be low, so that the spring force of the membrane 12 is easily sufficient to soak the closed cylinder end full of soap as soon as the suction transverse bore 14 is aligned with the suction opening 16.
