Description

Tool for the preparation of the ends of tubes of fluid distribution installations Up to now, installers of fluid distribution installations, pneumatic and hydraulic installations, in particular industrial hydraulic installations such as control systems. Machine tools, for example, carry out cleaning and stripping of installation pipes manually, using emery cloth or the like. This work is obviously long and tedious, and the result is often deplorable.

The object of the present invention is a tool for preparing the ends of tubes for fluid distribution installations, characterized in that it comprises a support having at least two scraper members each formed by a bundle of parallel and converging wires. towards a common point, fixing means making it possible to adjust the position of the front face of each bundle of wires.

The attached drawing illustrates schematically and by way of example three embodiments of the tool.

Fig. 1 illustrates, in plan view, a first embodiment of the tool.

Fig. 2 is a view of A of FIG. 1.

Fig. 3 is an end view of a second embodiment of the tool.

Fig. 4 is a partially sectional view of the positive say along line IV-IV of FIG. 3.

Figs. 5 and 6 illustrate in plan and in elevation a combined tool.

The tool illustrated in fig. 1 and 2 is a manual stripping tool. This stripping tool comprises a gripping member 1 rigidly fixed to a working head 2, constituted in the example illustrated by a hexagonal nut. This working head 2 could, in variants not shown, have other shapes, for example having a polygonal outer rim and a circular inner rim. This working head 2 has three scraper members. Each of these scraper members has a bolt 3 screwed into a corresponding thread made in the working head 2. A blind hole, coaxial with the bolt and opening on the front part of the latter, contains a bundle of wires 4.

This bundle of wires 4 is forced into this blind hole and all the free ends of the wires are arranged in the same plane forming the front end 5 of the scraper member.

The wires of the bundle 4 are made of hardened steel and present great hardness.

It should be noted that the position of the front end 5 of the scraper is adjustable relative to the working head 2, by simply rotating the bolt 3. A locknut 6 is provided to fix the scraper member in the desired position.

The three scrapers of the working head are evenly distributed around the X axis of the working head, that is, they form angles of 120.1 between them.

To pickle a bar or a tube, the user adjusts the position of the end faces 5 of the scrapers so that these end faces are located on a circle whose diameter is slightly less than the external diameter of the part to be stripped. Then, this adjustment being made, the user engages the workpiece between the front surfaces 5 of the scrapers and moves the device, using the handle 1, longitudinally along and angularly around the workpiece. The free tips of the hardened steel wires in bundles 4 abradate the part. This stripping is carried out easily and very quickly.

The second embodiment of the stripping tool illustrated in fi-. 3 and 4 is more particularly intended to be fixed on the spindle of a lathe or on a portable drill, for example.

The illustrated tool comprises a gripping member 7 rigidly fixed to a body 8. This body 8 is cylindrical of revolution and the gripping member 7, formed in the form of a rod, emerges coaxially with said body 8 out of one of its faces. frontal. This gripping member 7 is intended to be fixed in the jaws of a lathe or of a hand drill with a view to driving the body 8 in rotation around its axis of revolution.

This body 8 is hollow and is provided, like the head 2 of the first embodiment described, with scraper members in all points similar to those already described (3, 4, 5, 6) with reference to this first form of execution. However, in this second embodiment, the body 8 comprises six scraper members arranged in groups of three. In each group of three, the scraper bodies are located in the same plane, but angularly offset by 1200 with respect to each other.

In addition, the two groups, arranged in adjacent parallel planes, are placed so that the scrapers of the first group are angularly offset by 60% relative to those of the second group.

The front part of the body 8, opposite to that for the gripping member 7, has an external thread 9, onto which is screwed a front part 10. This front part 10 has an internal shoulder 11 of the tines to receive a seal 0 -ring 12. A guide formed of a tubular part 13 and a flange 14 is fixed inside the body 8 by clamping the flange 14 between the front face of the body 8 and the seal 12 so that the tubular part 12 is coaxial with the body 8.

This guide 13, 14 is particularly useful when parts of small diameter compared to the internal diameter of the body 8 must be pickled.

When the stripping device is fixed on a drill or on a lathe by means of its gripping member 7 and that it is driven in rotation, it suffices for the user to introduce a bar to be stripped between the wire bundles 4 inside the body 8. It is understood that the position of the wire bundles 4 has been previously adjusted so as to place the front surface 5 of each bundle on the same diameter, corresponding to that of the part to be stripped, that is to say on a diameter slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the part to be stripped.

The third embodiment constitutes a tool with multiple uses.

This preparation tool comprises a stripping device which comprises a gripping member 15, having the general shape of a rod of rectangular section, integral with a head having in elevation the general shape of a U. Each of the wings 16, 17 and the dorsal part 18 of the U-shaped head carries a scraper member (3, 4, 5, 6) identical to the scraper members already described.

The tool illustrated in fig. 5 and 6 also comprises a positive deburring device 19 rigidly fixed to the wing 16 of the head of the stripping device and a tube cutter device fixed to the gripping member 15 of the stripping device. This tube cutter comprises a fixed part 20 integral with the gripping member 15, provided with a cutting wheel 21 and a movable part 22 sliding along the gripping member 15. This movable part 22 carries two rollers 23 , 24 and can be moved by the action of a screw 25.

Finally, this tool also has, fixed to the gripping member, but on the side opposite to the tube cutter, a file 26 making it possible to remove the external burrs from a tube. This complete tool allows the cutting, stripping and deburring operations which are presented to a hydraulic or pneumatic installation fitter to be carried out easily and quickly.
