Description

Curling shoe The invention relates to a curling shoe. For a long time, only shoes were used for the game of curling, the soles of which provided a secure stand on the ice. That is why the soles are made of crepe or various types of rubber, i.e. of poorly sliding material, i. H. those with great adhesion.

Long gliding with the stone was not possible with such highly adhesive soles, especially not up to the so-called hog line, i.e. H. to the line that a stone has to pass in order to even enter the game.

However, a good gliding ability, that is, low adhesion of the standing shoe on the ice, would be desirable, since the stones could be played much more precisely when gliding in front of the hog. Sliders made of plastic, that is to say made of material with low adhesion, have been proposed that were slipped over the sole of the standing shoe (for right-handers on the left shoe, for left-handers on the right shoe).

However, these sliders have the disadvantage that they have to be slipped over the entire shoe sole, including the heel, which impairs the stability of the curler too much. Apart from this, this slider must be attached to the shoe and removed from it again as required.

The aim of the invention is to create a slippery curling shoe which does not have the disadvantages described above.

The curling shoe according to the invention is characterized in that part of its sole consists of a material that can slide. With one and the same pair of curling shoes, only one shoe is provided with this slidable sole part, namely the left shoe for right-handed players and the right shoe for left-handed players. Since not the whole shoe sole, preferably the paragraph is not made of slippery material, the stability of the player, if he does not want to slide, is not impaired.

The slidable sole part can consist, for example, of leather or of a commercially available slidable plastic.

The slidable sole part preferably extends from the tip of the shoe to behind the footballs over at least 50% of the entire shoe length or over a maximum of 75% of the entire shoe length to the rear,

while at least the shoulder is made of poorly slidable material, that is, of such high adhesion as previously made of crepe or rubber. In an exemplary embodiment, e.g. B. with a shoe length of 291/2 cm, the front sliding sole part made of leather or plastic have a length of 141/2 cm.
