Description

Device for gripping stoneware pipes The invention relates to a device for gripping cylindrical to slightly conical stoneware pipes, with a gripper shell designed as a suction head.

Known is a suction head for vacuum transport systems for in particular ceramic briquettes that are still in a plastic state, which surrounds such a large part of the surface of the molding that the parts of the molding lying outside cannot be deformed by their own weight Interior is sealed against the molding surface by this sealing body made of highly elastic material such as foam rubber. The sealing lower surface of the Dichtungskör widening in the direction of the surface of the molding is precisely adapted to the profile of the surface of the molding.

The disadvantage of such grippers is that, for each pipe diameter, exactly matching grippers must be kept in stock and that larger surface defects of a pipe or even a non-regular cylindrical shape prevent the pipe from being securely held on the suction head. Another disadvantage is that such grippers have to be pressed against the transported goods or pipe so that the suction head rests against the surface without gaps and in a vacuum-tight manner. The prerequisite for this is a great stability of the pipe to be gripped, while unstable pipes rend or those with significant shape and position deviations are knocked over if they are not supported by an appropriate counter-support.

The purpose of the invention is to eliminate these disadvantages in order to work more economically.

The invention is based on the object of designing the gripper shell in such a way that the sealing lips e.g. already take effect 10 to 20 mm before the pipe is in contact with the bottom of the gripper shell, so that even pipes that are slightly crooked or with a surface quality that is not too large can be securely gripped without the need to use any additional pressure or holding force to grip the pipe . The same gripper should be suitable for tubes having different diameters within certain limits.

Furthermore, a gripping device is sought in which the transported goods are automatically drawn with a stamp when gripped at the same time.

According to the invention, to solve these tasks, lateral sealing lips and front-side sealing collars are attached to the gripper shell in such a way that they already apply to the stoneware pipe when gripping before the bottom of the gripper shell is reached by the stone tool pipe. The gripper shell can be narrowed and expanded by means of threaded nuts of turnbuckles via supports in the sense of a stepless change in the gripper shell radius.

On the back of the gripper shell, a membrane with a central hole is advantageously placed in a two-part base plate, in which a rod is attached, which has a stamp plate with interchangeable letters. The rod may have an adjustable stop e.g. to operate a switch that triggers control processes.

The invention can achieve the following advantages in particular: The gripper shell only needs to be approached up to a small distance from the clay pipe to be gripped. The air under pressure of the suction head can then automatically pull the clay pipe into the gripper shell and hold it in place. A knocking over of the stoneware pipe by pressing the gripper shell can thus be excluded. This is particularly necessary for clay pipes that are on a pipe diameter that is relatively small to the length of the pipe.

Weakly conical tubes or e.g. Pipes with a surface that is not entirely free of defects can be securely gripped and held. The stoneware pipe can be automatically signed if the device is designed accordingly.

The invention will be explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments. In the accompanying drawing: Fig. 1 shows the longitudinal center section of a gripper; Fig. 2 shows the section A-A of Fig. 1; 3 shows the cross section through a gripper with a marking stamp.

On the thin elastic gripper shell 1, which is provided with holes 2, a thin, resilient shaped sheet 3 is attached in such a way that an air space 4 is created, which is connected to a vent pump (not shown) with a nozzle 5. On the longitudinal edges of the gripper shell 1, long sealing lips 6 are clamped by means of guide plates 7 on tabs 8 of the shaped plate 3 which are bent backwards. At the end faces of the shaped sheet 3 arc-shaped up device lips 9 are provided from the same material in the form of pulled cuffs.

In the triangular hollow spaces formed by the tabs 8 of the metal sheet 3 supports 10 are arranged, the free Hebelar me by turnbuckles 11 with threaded nuts 12 are connected. In Fig. 1 only the upper turnbuckle is visible. The shaped sheet 3 is carried by an arm 13 which is articulated to any conveying means (crane, truck or the like.).

The sealing lips 6; 9 are arranged in such a way that they already come into contact with the pipe over their entire length 10 to 20 mm before the gripper shell 1 is placed against a pipe 14, for example, without exerting an impact force on the pipe. In this position, the full suction vacuum cannot yet take effect. However, by sucking in the air at the narrow gaps between the tube 14 and sealing lips 6; 9 has a high air speed. Due to the associated pressure difference, the sealing lips are drawn against the pipe, and the pipe is inevitably into the gripper shell. 1 pulled in and sucked in firmly.

The lower part of Fig. 2 shows the tube 14 in the position when you first touch the lips 6, the upper part of Fig. 2 in the holding working position.

The sealing lips, which lie very wide after the pipe has been sucked in, also bridge larger surface defects of the pipe 14.

The use of turnbuckles 11 eliminates the need to manufacture different grippers for the different diameters within a nominal pipe diameter. These allow the gripper shell radius to be adjusted within the limits of the elasticity of the gripper shell material (approx. 10a / 0). All practically occurring deviations due to wall thickness differences are within these limits. Differences in shrinkage and wear of the mouthpiece of the pipe extrusion press.

By turning the nuts of the Spannschlös ser 11, the gripper shell 1 is changed on the supports 10 in its radius. The number of turnbuckles 11 with respect to the length of the gripper shell 1 can be arbitrary. By different adjustment of the turnbuckles 11, the gripper shell 1 can also be given a conical shape, which makes it possible to look at slightly conical bodies properly.

It is also particularly advantageous to design the device for automatically marking wet stoneware pipes while gripping, which previously had to be carried out by hand before or after gripping. FIG. 3 shows a section through a gripper with marking stamp in the operating position. In the gripper shell 1 and the shaped plate 3, which by appropriate enclosures 15; 16 is reinforced at this point, a radial opening is provided, which is in a fixed on the sheet metal 3 two parti ge base plate 17; 17 'continues.

In the two-part base plate 17; 17 'is a membrane 18, preferably a rubber washer, with its outer edge clamped. In a central section of a circle of the membrane 18 is a two-part clamping device 19; 19 'is set, in the central bore a guide 20 with threaded pin and nut 21 is attached. The other end of the guide 20 is also threaded with two threaded nuts 22; 23 and an adjustable stop 24. The threaded nut 22 is designed as a spring plate for a compression spring 25, which is secured by the threaded nut 23. The compression spring 25 is supported on the other hand on the base plate 17 '.

In the guide 20 a rod 26 is guided, which has threads at both ends. A stamp plate 27 with an exchangeable marking stamp 28 and the likewise exchangeable letters 29 is seated on the inner thread. The rod 26 is tightened in the guide 20 by a threaded nut 30 on the outer thread end of the rod 26.

On the base plate 17 'a Schaltkon clock 31 is advantageously built, the rocker arm 32 from the stop 24 is to be actuated. The switching contact 31 is usually a make and break contact and acts either as a lock on the drive of the transport means carrying the suction gripper by means of arm 13, so that it cannot be set in motion as long as the stoneware pipe has not been securely gripped or released.

If necessary, this switching contact 31 can also automatically trigger the movement of the means of transport as soon as the stoneware pipe has been safely gripped or released. A protective cap 33 is placed on the entire device.

In the rest position, the compression spring 25 presses the stamp plate 27 via the clamping device 19; 19 'against the base plate 17, wherein the stamp plate 27 with the marking stamp 28 and the letters 29 is withdrawn and the switching contact 31 is open.

The vacuum, which when approaching the stoneware pipe 14 pulls this into the gripper shell 1, also actuates the membrane 18, whereby the marking and contact device reaches the working position shown. The stoneware pipe 14 is signed and the switching contact 31 is closed. By means of the threaded nut tern 22; 23, the spring tension is to be set so that the stoneware pipe is safely sucked in before the vacuum actuates the membrane 18, or that when the stoneware pipe is released from the gripper shell 1, the membrane 18 springs back before the stoneware pipe slips off.

The correct switching point is set by means of rocker arm 32 and stop 24.

The device described works as follows: When the gripper approaches the stoneware pipe 14, the stoneware pipe is automatically sucked into the gripper on the last stretch of the route without any pressure forces having to be effective. The membrane 18 is actuated, whereby the marking device and the toggle lever 28; 29; 32 get into the working position, the tube 14 is signed and the switching contact 31 is closed, so that the circuit for the drive, for example, of the carriage that carries the arm 13, is switched through.

If the pipe 14 is to be parked somewhere, the negative suction pressure is forcibly canceled so that the switching contact 31 closes .and the car is stopped.
