Letter kit, consisting of a film strip as a letter carrier and flat letters with an adhesive layer on one side. Advertising signs made of plastic film have been known for a long time, which have an adhesive layer and so on shop windows. Doors or the like. Can be attached. These signs can be used as advertising signs, as well as information signs, etc. It is also known to provide herzu signs made of self-adhesive film. In more recent times, individual letters have also been punched out of such films and also from films to which an adhesive has been applied in order to obtain free-standing lettering.
The procedure here is often that the letters are punched out of a composite film consisting of the letter layer and a supporting layer, but where the punching is only made so deep that the supporting layer remains undamaged, i. H. in other words. the fixed shield is created on the base layer. To transfer this sign to the final surface, you can then use a one-sided adhesive film - with the adhesive layer on the letters - as a cover. You then pull off the carrier film from the cover and you now have the books and cover free so that you can now apply them to the final board.
The letter foil is usually seen ver with a stronger setting adhesive than the cover foil. The carrier film can consist of plastic or paper. In any case it is only an aid.
The possible uses of this method are very limited in that a stamped part has to be made for each lettering and it is not possible to change the letters. On the other hand, there is a strong need for signs or ounces of labeling that can be put together as desired by the consumer, taken apart again and put back together again in a different sequence. The object of the invention is therefore to create a letter kit which can be put together as often as desired and in any sequence of letters for labeling and information.
The object of the invention is achieved by a letter kit consisting of a film strip as a letter carrier and flat letters with one-sided adhesive layer in an advantageous manner in that each flat letter is designed as an individual letter with a clearly protruding edge contour and is glued with the adhesive layer on a carrier film, which it protrudes by the distance to the carrier film of a neighboring flat letter and by the distance to a lower delimiting edge and to an upper delimiting edge,
that the film strip has an adhesive layer covered with removable cover paper and that the cover paper has cuts serving as a stop for the upper and lower boundary edges of the carrier films, which are repeated at a distance from the length of the letter carrier film.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the individual handling phases, namely show: FIG. 1 a view of a compound word; 2 shows a view of the film strip, the cover paper partially detached; 3 shows a view when inserting carrier foils, and FIG. 4 shows a view when peeling off a carrier foil for the associated letter.
The letters: n 4, 4a etc. are on rectangular carrier foils 3, 3a u @ w. glued. They are first put together to form the desired word (Fig. 1). Then the masking paper? detached from the film strip 1 along the incisions 7, 8 (FiQ. ''). The letters 4, 4a, etc., of the word according to Fig.
