Halogen in each case preferably represents chlorine, bromine or fluorine.
Alkylene radicals can be straight-chain or branched and substituted, e.g. B. by halogen atoms, by a hydroxyl or cyano group or by optionally substituted aryl or cyclohexyl radicals.
Preferred alkylene radicals are, for example: - (CH2) n-, where n is a number from 1 to 8 and advantageously 1 to 6: z. B. -CH2-, - (CH2) 2-, - (CH2) 3-, - (CH2) 4-,
EMI2.1
Hydrocarbon radicals can represent optionally substituted alkyl, such as cycloalkyl or aryl radicals.
Alkyl radicals can contain 1 to 12 or 1 to 6, but preferably 1, 2, 3 or 4 carbon atoms. If these radicals are substituted, they can be substituted by halogen atoms, a hydroxyl or cyano group or an aryl group; In such cases, alkyl radicals represent aralkyl radicals, such as. B. Benzyl radicals, aryl radicals in general preferably represent phenyl radicals, but they can also represent naphthyl radicals. Cycloalkyl radicals mostly stand for cyclohexyl radicals which can be substituted by alkyl or alkoxy groups.
Alkoxy groups mainly contain 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
The rings A and / or B can be substituted by halogen, hydroxyl, amino, cyano or nitro.
Substituents which can be exchanged for amino groups are, for. B. halogen atoms, the hydroxyl group or an amino or alkoxy group.
Ring D or other phenyl radicals can be substituted by halogen, nitro, cyano, hydroxyl, alkyl or alkoxy, amino, substituted amino, sulfonic acid amide, alkylsulfonyl, arylsulfonyl, trifluoroalkyl, trichloroalkyl, phenyl, phenyloxy, etc.
The sulfonation is advantageously carried out in sulfuric acid monohydrate or in 5 to 100% oleum or in chlorosulfonic acid at temperatures between 0 and 400.degree. C., preferably between 20-250.degree.
The reaction products obtained are, if they occur in the leuco form, oxidized.
The reaction of a compound of the formula (71) with an amine of the formula (VIA) and (VIII) or (IX) is advantageously carried out in an organic medium, e.g. B. in higher molecular weight alcohols such as butyl alcohol, isobutyl alcohol, amyl alcohol, octyl alcohol, dodecyl alcohol, etc.
Nitrobenzene, chlorobenzene, etc. or mixtures of such solvents at a temperature of 80-1400 C, preferably 100-1300 C.
The new compounds are mainly used for dyeing, padding or printing fibers of animal origin, e.g. B. of wool or silk, of synthetic polyamides and leather, also of cellulose fibers, z. B.
Cotton or linen and regenerated cellulose fibers, e.g. B. Viscose rayon, copper rayon or rayon, of mixtures and / or structures made of these fibers.
The wetting, leveling, thickening and other textile or leather auxiliaries commonly used can be used for dyeing, padding or printing.
The dyes can be dyed from an acidic or neutral medium at temperatures of 70-100 ° C., preferably at Roch temperature. They have good build-up properties on these substrates and are excellent in leveling.
The dyeings or prints obtained are of excellent blue brilliance and have very good lightfastness, especially on wool and synthetic polyamides. They dye streaky nylon excellently; The wet fastness properties, such as washing, fulling, water, seawater, perspiration and soda boiling fastness, and the rub and dry cleaning fastness are also good.
As synthetic polyamide fibers, for. B. into consideration: the condensation products of 1,6-hexamethylenediamine with adipic acid or sebacic acid, the polymerization products of e-caprolactam or the polycondensation products of w-aminoundeCanoic acid and mixed condensation products, e.g. B. from 1,6-hexamethylenediamine, adipic acid and ± -caprolactam.
The dye of the formula is from French patent specification 1,563,249
EMI2.2
known for dyeing natural and synthetic polyamides. It is surprising that the compounds of formula (I), especially colored on synthetic polyamides, e.g. B. nylon, streaky nylon cover better than the dye of formula (a).
In the following examples, the parts are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
Example 1 a) 32 parts of 1-isopropylamino-4-bromoanthraquinone, 23 parts of 2-phenoxycyclohexylamine, 10.2 parts of anhydrous potassium acetate, 0.05 part of copper chloride and 60 parts of n-butanol are heated together at 110-1150 for 48 hours. After cooling, the dye base crystallizes out. It is filtered off and the precipitate is washed with n-butanol and then with methanol and then dried.
10 parts of the dried dye base obtained are sulfonated in 80 parts of sulfuric acid monohydrate at room temperature. The reaction product is poured onto ice and sodium chloride. The precipitate is filtered off and washed with a 100% sodium chloride solution and then dried.
The dye thus obtained dyes wool and nylon in brilliant blue shades with good light fastness and good wet fastness properties. Striped nylon is covered and dyed regardless.
The 2-phenoxycyclohexylamine can be obtained by condensing 2-chlorocyclohexanone with phenol in an alkaline medium and reductively aminating the resulting ketone with Raney nickel.
b) If you replace the 2-phenoxycyclohexylamine in example la) by the l-phenoxy-2-aminopropane (obtained by condensation of monochloroacetone and phenol in an alkaline medium, and reductive amination of the ketone) and otherwise work according to the information in this example, this gives a similar dye with the same good properties.
Example 2
10 parts of leuco-1,4-dihydroxyanthraquinone, 24 parts of 1-tert-butylphenoxy-2-aminopropane and 50 parts of n-butanol are heated for 48 hours at 1000 under a nitrogen atmosphere. The leuco base is then oxidized with the aid of a stream of oxygen, then precipitated with methanol, filtered off, washed with methanol and then dried.
10 parts of the dye base are sulfonated in 80 parts of sulfuric acid monohydrate at room temperature. The obtained dye of the formula
EMI3.1
is a blue powder that can be used to dye wool and nylon in brilliant blue tones with good lightfastness and good wetfastness.
Staining instructions
A dyebath is prepared from 4,000 parts of water, 4 parts of ammonium sulfate and 4 parts of the dye from Example 1 and heated to 400. At this temperature, 100 parts of fabric made of synthetic polyamide fibers are melted. The bath is heated to boiling temperature over 30 minutes and colored for 60 minutes. After 30 minutes the evaporated water is replaced and 2 parts of glacial acetic acid are added. After dyeing, the fabric is rinsed cold and dried.
If you dye wool by the same method, you get a dye with similarly good properties.
