The invention relates to a bag which consists of a flattened tube made of plastic, in which there are two folded edges produced by flattening the tube at a distance from the respective side edges of the bag and on which a perforation line along an upper edge and at a distance from it is attached, this perforation line begins at a distance from one side edge and extends inward, at least to the adjacent folding edge.
One or more such lines of perforation are arranged on bags of this type in order to be able to separate a strip from the bag, which is connected at its ends to the bag and is used to close the bag after it has been filled, or slits are made on the bag, which are used to pull through this connecting strip.
However, it has been shown that it is quite difficult to tear the bag along a perforation line which does not reach the side edges of the bag, and in order to remedy this inconvenience, a bag of the type described in the introduction is characterized in that at the inner end the perforation line is followed by either two diverging, continuous cutting lines or further perforation lines, the point of intersection of the lines being on the side of the folding edge facing the adjacent side edges and the cutting or further perforation lines running over the folding edge 14, or there being a hole, that goes through the folded edge.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the bag has an attached perforation line on each side edge, with each perforation line at the end closest to the side edge having a mainly semicircular, upward bend, so that by tearing the plastic bag along these perforation lines, two grip openings are obtained, each at the Wall parts of the bag lie, which form the mentioned folding edges when the plastic tube is pressed flat. On each of the other two opposite wall parts of the bag, slit-shaped openings are obtained which can be used to suspend the bag with the bag edge open.
To illustrate the invention, an embodiment of the same is described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings, of which FIG. 1 shows a side view of a bag tape for producing a bag according to the invention, FIG. 3 shows a fragmentary perspective image of the edge end of an individual bag of the bag tape and FIGS. 4 to 6 show fragmentary side views of the edge end of a bag according to the invention in three different designs and on a larger scale.
The bag tape shown in Fig. 1 consists of a flattened tube or tube 10 made of plastic, for example PVC film (polyvinyl chloride film). The flattening was carried out by side folding in the manner shown in Fig. 3, the side fold consists of a V-shaped side fold 11 with two folds, which form the side edges 12 and 13 of the bag tape, and a fold edge 14, which is in the Distances from the side edges 12 and 13 formed by the folds of the bag and runs parallel to them. After the plastic tube has been pressed flat to create the V-shaped gusset, the tube is welded along welding lines 15 to the bottom of the individual bags of the bag tape.
Here, four plastic layers have been welded in the side gusset 11, but only two on the remaining bag parts. To separate the individual bags from the bag tape, a perforation line 16 runs parallel to each welding line 15 on the underside of the bottom closure brought about by this. As can be seen, this line of perforations extends over the entire width of the bag tape and through all plastic layers, i. a maximum of four plastic layers in the gusset.
At each upper edge of the bag (or the edge marked by the perforation line 16) two perforation lines 17 are arranged, each of which runs mainly parallel to the edge and has a mainly semicircular upward bend 18 at the end closest to the side edge 12 or 13. At the inner end of the perforation line 17, two inclined, straight cutting lines (continuous cutting lines or further perforation lines) 19 and 20 connect, the cutting line 19 being aligned with the perforation line 17 and being able to form an extension of this perforation line.
The cutting line 20 adjoins the perforation line 17 at a point which is located on the side of the folding line 14 which is closest to the adjacent side edge 12 or 13, and the cutting lines diverge from this point by running over the folding edge 14 . When the perforation line 17 and the two cutting lines 19 and 20 are brought about in the flattened tube so that they go through all the plastic layers lying on top of one another as a result of the side folding, four perforation lines arise through each perforation line 17 with associated cutting lines 19 and 20 when the bag is stretched or rolled up 17a, 17b, 17c, 17d, one in each of the four plastic layers of the gusset, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.
Here, the two perforation lines 17b and 17c are in line with one another, but are interrupted by a triangular opening 21, which is brought about by the two cutting lines 19 and 20, while the perforation lines 17a and 17d connect to a triangular lobe 22, which is also through the two cutting lines 19 and 20 was created.
The opening 21 and the tab 22 allow a finger to be inserted into the plastic wall in order to tear it open along the respective perforation lines. Here, two slots are formed by the perforation lines 17b and 17c, which are each located on two opposite side walls of the bag, namely the two side walls that form the fold 11, and these slots can serve as a handle of the bag. The remaining lines of perforations 17a and 17d result in two slits on each of the other two opposing side walls, and these slits can serve to stretch the bag with the open edge of the bag, i. in the position of the bag shown in FIG. 2, in that the slits obtained by the perforation lines 17a and 17d are hung on hooks or buttons.
In the embodiment of Fig. 4, the invention has been applied to the same bag as that shown in Figs. 1 and 3, but the perforation line 17 is shaped as a straight line, i.
has no bend 18. In this case, the two cutting lines 19 and 20 facilitate the separation from the bag wall along the perforation line in the same way as already described, but instead of the slits obtained by the perforation lines 17b and 17c forming a handle, they are used to separate a strip from the bag which is connected to the bag at its ends and can serve as a closure or to link the bag. The slits that are created by the perforation lines 17a and 17d in the embodiment according to FIG. 4 can be used in the manner shown in FIG. 2 or to pull the closure or connecting strip separated from the bag through.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, instead of the diverging cutting lines 19, 20, a semicircular cutting line (continuous cutting line or perforation line) 23 can be arranged, as shown in FIG. 5, or a punched, circular hole 24, as shown in FIG . In order not to be able to tear the plastic material when it is separated along the perforation line 17 between the end of this perforation line and the adjacent side edge 12, 13, the perforation line can end with a downwardly curved section 17 ', as shown in FIG. 5, or with a small punched one Hole 25 as shown in FIG.
Of course, the lines of perforations can be used for any purpose on any type of flattened pouch. Thus, they can be used not only for the relatively small rubbish bags that are used in the household, but also for larger bags, namely so-called garbage bags, and also for bags that are to be used as carrier bags.
