Abstract

Timepiece, in which an upper disc rotates over a lower disc, these two discs being constructed as time-indicating elements. The lower, fixed disc projects radially over the upper disc, which is driven by the clockwork. A window is arranged in the upper, driven disc between the centre and the circumference. This window uncovers the view onto the lower disc. Twelve successive areas of different coloration are provided on the lower disc, so that it is possible to detect areas of different coloration through the window depending on the position of the upper, rotatable disc. The view onto the window thus permits the time to be read off as a function of the colour. The time can likewise be determined from the angular position of the window with respect to the housing, so that it is possible even when the assignment of specific colours to specific hours is not known for the time to be determined and, in the process, for the assignment of specific colours to specific hours to be learned. The co-operation of the window with an interpolation scale mounted on the projecting edge region of the lower disc permits intermediate times to be determined between successive full hours. <IMAGE>
