Abstract
The present invention relates to an electronic timing mechanism having a pulsed voltage generator, frequency divider and binary counter, as well as a supply voltage source. It is the object of the invention to provide an electronic timing mechanism in which, after failure of the supplying voltage source, it can be determined upon the return of the supply voltage whether the time value stored in the timing mechanism before failure is still present and if that is not possible to cause the timing mechanism to run to a defined time setting. The object is achieved when the supply voltage input of the binary counter is bridged by a capacitor, and the input is applied to an input of a comparator whose other input is supplied from a reference voltage source. The main field of application of the invention is recharging control units for electric storage devices.
