The cam bosses (31, 32, 33, 34, 35) normally actuate the lever (21) at the end of the months with fewer than 31 days, thus causing the displacement of the rocker (18) carrying the sliding-gear intermediate wheel (17) which engages with the toothed sector (15) and thus causes additional rotations of the unit (16). The boss (35) which corresponds to the month of February cooperates with a star (36) with four branches, one of which is partially truncated and which automatically shortens the duration of the month to 28 days or, once in every four times, to 29 days. <IMAGE>
