Abstract

The watch includes a cover glass (3) which is formed from two transparent plates (10,11). Between the two plates there are marker made of gold to indicate the hour positions (23). The markers are heavy, and present a relief appearance which contributes to the aesthetic value of the watch. One of the two plates may be made using photosensitive glass. This modifies the appearance of the watch according to the ambient light level. The watch itself may have an analogue or digital movement controlling the display hands.
