Abstract

The watch casing comprises a frame (1) without seating, with a central aperture (16), and a glass (4) fitted into the opening. The glass is fixed to the frame solely by a peripheral adhesive layer (8) at the edge where the glass meets the frame. The internal surface (5) of the frame which abuts the glass is parallel to the virtual axis (17) which passes through the centre of the watch. The upper surface of the glass lies parallel to the lower surface of the base plate (6) attached to the opposite side of the watch. A raised ring (12) is situated underneath the edge of the glass, within the aperture in the casing.
