Abstract

The frame has two lengthwise and two transverse sections, together with a set of transverse spring slats (5) at intervals, supporting a mattress, these being fixed via supporting bodies (2) to the lengthwise sections (1). The latter slope inwards, the bodies being fixed to their outside surfaces. Their angle, and the dimensions of the bodies, can be such that, whatever the load, the bodies do not extend as far as the vertical planes through the outer bottom edges of the frame sections. Each body can be made of hard plastics at the bottom and of rubber or similar elastic material at the top. It can be screwed to the outside surface of the frame section, and each body can accommodate two slats.

Die aufliegende Matratze ist dadurch bis an ihren Rand federnd abgestützt. Nachteilig ist dabei aber, dass die üblichen Längszargen des Lattenrostes fehlen, die bei dessen Einlegen in ein Bettgestell zur Auflage auf in der Längsrichtung des Bettgestells an unterschiedlichen Stellen angebrachten Stützen dienen. Der Mittel-Längsträger eines solchen Lattenrostes muss deshalb auf mindestens zwei Traversen gelagert werden, die entweder mit Füssen versehen werden oder genau auf die Auflagestellen im jeweiligen Bettgestell abgestimmt montiert werden müssen, was nach dem Verkauf erheblichen Montageaufwand an Ort und Stelle verursacht und eine Verwendung in einem andern Bettgestell ohne erneute Anpassung durch einen Fachmann weitgehend ver-unmöglicht.
