Abstract

The slatted bed-base has two longitudinal supports (3, 4) running in the longitudinal direction of the bed and a number of sprung slats (5) arranged with mutual spacing substantially in the transverse direction of the longitudinal supports. Said sprung slats together form a resting surface for a mattress to be placed on it. Furthermore, there are support elements (6) with which the sprung slats (5) are attached to the longitudinal supports (3, 4). Said support elements are arranged offset inwards in relation to the ends of the sprung slats. At least one of the sprung slats (5) in each case and at least one of the support elements (6) in each case together form a support module (7). At each end of the support element (6) there is an upper connecting member (8) of non-elastic material, with which the sprung slat is attached to the support element. The connecting member (8) also comprises holding means (9) in such a way that limited displacement of the sprung slats (5) is possible, at least transversely to the longitudinal supports (3, 4). <IMAGE>
