Der von dem Mantel<I>r</I> und dein Gehäuse<I>f</I> gebildete

High-lift safety valve with spring or weight loading. The invention relates to a high-lift safety valve with spring or weight loading. The known safety valves of this type with additional lift area have the disadvantage that the valve does not close when the boiler pressure has dropped to the normal level, as is necessary to avoid voltage losses, but only when the reduced boiler pressure (to the Area unit) times the valve area increased by the additional lifting area corresponds to the spring tension.
With a sufficiently large high-lift effect, this reduced boiler pressure is so low below normal pressure that every blow-off of the safety valve results in a significant, undesirable loss of steam. There are also types of high-lift safety valves in which the opening of the shut-off valve is indirectly via a control valve or through a similar acting auxiliary device is effected. These high-lift safety valves have the disadvantage that their effectiveness is immediately and completely switched off as soon as the auxiliary device provided for control fails in any one way.
These disadvantages are eliminated in the subject matter of the invention. According to the invention, an auxiliary device is arranged which is designed in such a way that, after opening the safety valve, it initially allows the upper side of the valve body to be relieved and thereby allows the high-lift effect to take place, and that it then loads the upper side of the valve body and thereby brings the safety valve to close.
In the drawing, various exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in vertical section, namely: FIG. 1 shows a device in which the harmful effect of the additional cursors for closing the valve is automatically eliminated, FIG. 2 shows a device, where a closing element is operated by hand for the same purpose -% v; Fig. 3 and 4 show two further exemplary embodiments from the device.
Execution stabbed Fig. 1: The valve cone a of the safety valve b is formed in its upper part in a known manner as piston e. The ring-shaped surface between the edge of the actual valve cone seat and the jacket of the piston c represents the additional surface that affects the high lift. The piston-shaped part e is guided in a cylinder d of the valve housing. The valve cone a is provided with a bore e which connects the annular space g below the piston c and - after lifting the cone a, the space g1 below the valve cone with the space g2. The cylinder d is closed by a cover h through which the spring-loaded spindle i is guided.
The wall of the cylinder d is provided in a known manner with recesses k through which the steam can escape after the valve has been lifted. In order to be able to change the outlet diameter of the recesses, a ring f adjustable in height by rotation is placed around the cylinder c1 in a likewise known arrangement, which ring f changes the cross section of the outlet openings k depending on its height. The ring has holes r into which a suitable tool can be inserted to rotate the ring. A screw y is provided to fix the ring.
With the space g1 below the valve cone, that is, with the steam space of the boiler, a piston l of the auxiliary device mentioned is connected through the channel m (the piston can also be replaced by a membrane). This piston is guided in a cylinder and, for better closure, has a valve cone a, which rests on a valve seat arranged on your cylinder.
The piston l is connected to a tubular slide p, which is provided with openings q and is guided in a cylinder jacket r. which is marked with Durchl, invoice-cn .s. The one formed by the coat <I> r </I> and your case <I> f </I>

The spring- (or weight-) loaded valve cone a consequently goes back to its seat and blocks the steam from escaping. before the boiler pressure has sunk significantly below the set pressure.
In the embodiment of FIG. 2, the damaging effect of the additional surface for closing the valve is eliminated in such a way that a closing element is arranged on a line leading to a space above the valve body, which, instead of as with the safety valve after the Execution of Fig. 1 to act automatically, must be operated by hand, and example, as a cock l is shown. The space g1 below the valve body connects to space g2 above the valve body through a hole j after the valve cone has been opened and when the cock l is open.
The drawing clearly shows that when the maximum boiler pressure is exceeded, the high-lift valve works like a normal lift-up valve when the closing element lb is closed due to the effect of the additional surface after the valve cone a has been lifted off, i.e. it blows off powerfully due to the high lift and first closes when the boiler pressure has fallen so far below the set pressure that the product of the reduced boiler pressure times the valve cone area increased by the area of the additional area that is still active corresponds to the spring tension.
The latter inconvenience is eliminated by the innovation as follows: If during the blow-off of the valve ini moments of reaching de., Adjusting elluli-sdruclies the connection path j between

<tb> between <SEP> the <SEP> room <SEP> above <SEP> the <SEP> valve body and the free air. When the closing element l is open, the steam entering the space g2 through the bore i1 and the leakage in the valve piston c can escape into the open air, and the space g2 above the valve cone consequently remains free of pressure.
When the maximum boiler pressure is exceeded, the Hochhuvntil then works like an ordinary high-lift valve after the valve cone a has lifted off, as a result of the effect of the additional surface, i.e. it blows off strongly as a result of the high lift and only closes when the boiler pressure has fallen so far below the set pressure is that the product of the reduced boiler pressure times the valve cone area increased by the area of the additional area that is still in effect corresponds to the spring tension. This inconvenience is exactly as in the embodiment of FIG. 2 controlled in that when the setting pressure is reached, the closing element l is closed.
As soon as the connection between the space g2 and the open air is completed here, as a result of a part of the steam still under a certain pressure in the space 2, a pressure increase occurs through the bore j 'after the space g2 acts as an additional load on the valve cone. The damaging effect of the additional surface for the timely closing of the valve is thus canceled by this counteracting loading, and the valve then closes by spring pressure.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, the valve body of the manually operated closing element to eliminate the damaging effect of the additional surface for closing the high-lift valve is arranged on a pull or push rod, when it is moved in one direction The valve body attached to the rod is closed; when moving in the opposite direction, the safety valve cone can be relieved.
This means that the lever for operating the closing element provided to eliminate the harmful effect of the additional surface when the high-lift safety valve is closed can also be used for the mechanical relief of the valve cone, which is required when the valve cone is in the closed position has established. The valve body of the manually operated closing element l is attached to a pull and push rod 3 which is provided with a collar 4 at its un tern end. The lower spring plate 5 of the high-lift safety valve is provided with a guide rod 6 which is hollow in its upper part and which is guided in the spring pressure screw 7.
The collar 4 of the pull and push rod 3 lies in the upward movement of the latter tremble an approach of the guide rod 6 and takes it with it, whereby the valve spring S is tensioned and a relief of the valve lever a is brought about. Under the collar 4 of the pull and push rod 3 there is sufficient clearance that allows the valve cone n to be lifted out when the high-lift safety valve is blown off. The pull and push rod 3 is pressed by a Fe of 9 upwards, which, pinch the guide ribs of the guide rod 6 and the guide ribs of the valve body of the closing member l lying, holds the latter open.
If the valve body of the closing element 1 is closed by a corresponding movement of the lever 10 while compressing the spring 9, the collar 4 of the pull and push rod 3 can move freely downwards and leaves as much room as there is for lifting of the safety valve cone a is required.
The hole e in the valve cone a also has the advantage that the spring space is drained through this connecting hole in the interest of better preservation of the spring.
