quinquet électrique. L'objet de l'invention est un quinquet électrique qui offre cet avantage qu'on peut avancer, reculer et orienter à volonté la lampe, et. cela fort commodément et pour ainsi dire sans effort.
Ce quinquet est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte une colonne tubulaire dressée sur un support et mobile dans ce dernier, un dis positif extensible articulé à ladite colonne et dont l'extrémité libre porte la lampe élec trique, enfin des moyens permettant de fixer le dispositif extensible dans une position an gulaire déterminée, la lampe étant reliée à un cordon conducteur de courant. qui passe à l'intérieur de la colonne tubulaire en for mant une boucle de développement chargée d'un contrepoids.
Le dessin ci-joint montre, à titre d'exem ple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'in vention.
La fig. 1 en est une vue en élévation, par tie en coupe; La fig. 2 en est une vue partielle, en élé vation, (lu côté opposé par rapport à la fig. 1. Le quinquet, représenté au dessin com porte une colonne tubulaire 1 qui est dressée sur un établi 2 et peut tourner dans ce der nier. A cet effet, la partie inférieure de la colonne est, ajustée librement dans un trou cylindrique 3, percé à travers l'établi, et prend appui sur une rondelle 4 fixée de des sous contre l'établi au moyen de vis 5.
A la colonne 1 est articulé, sur un support 6 et au moyen d'une vis à portée 7, le dispositif extensible formé (le barrettes 8 reliées entre elles par articulation. L='extrémité libre du dispositif extensible porte la. lampe électrique comportant. l'ampoule 9, la douille 10 et l'in terrupteur 11. La lampe pourrait également être articulée en 13, sur le dispositif exten sible.
Sous l'action de son propre poids, le dis positif extensible tend nécessairement à tour ner sur la vis 7 et à s'abaisser. On a donc prévu des moyens permettant de le fixer dans la position requise. Ces moyens con sistent en un encliquetage (fig. ?) comprenant le segment 14 de roue à rochet et un cliquet 1.5 avec son ressort 16. Le segment denté 14 est fixé contre le support 6 par des moyens appropriés, tandis que le cliquet 15 est monté <B>à</B> pivot sur une des barrettes 8 du dispositif extensible et tend sans cesse à s'engager par son bec, sous l'action du ressort 16, clans la denture du segment 14.
Si le cliquet est en gagé entre deux dents du segment, le dis positif extensible avec la lampe est mainte nu par l'encliquetage et ne pourra être abaissé sans qu'on dégage préalablement le cliquet du segment 14. Par contre, on pourra le souleter sans toucher au cliquet.
Sur la vis 7 est encore montée librement une poulie 17 qui pénètre à l'intérieur de la colonne tubulaire 1, à travers une ouverture prévue à cette dernière. Le cordon 18 qui amène le courant électrique vers la lampe. comporte à son extrémité libre une fiche 16 clé prise clé courant: à partir de cette extré mité, il. passe à l'intérieur de la colonne tubulaire 1, à travers une ouverture 20, de cette dernière, où il forme vers le bas une grande boucle de développement en passant sur une poulie 21 à chape portant un contre poids 22; de là le cordon passe par la poulie 3-'i pour aboutir à la lampe.
Cette disposition o pour but d'empêcher le cordon clé traîner et s'enchevêtrer sur l'établi, autrement dit. de devenir encombrant.
Le contrepoids 22 tend sans cesse, en effet, clé rappeler les ex trémité du cordon vers l'intérieur clé la colonne 1, en sorte que le cordon se trouve toujours tendu quel que soit l'allongement du dispositif extensible: Le dispositif extensible peut être orienté clans tous les sens, vu qu'il est solidaire de la colonne tubulaire 1 qui peut tourner clans l'établi 2; il peut être soulevé ou abaissé, comme décrit plus haut, enfin il peut être allongé, comme représenté en fig. ---), et de nouveau raccourci après avoir été allongé.

This quinquet is characterized in that it comprises a tubular column erected on a support and movable in the latter, an expandable device articulated to said column and the free end of which carries the electric lamp, finally means for fixing the extensible device in a determined angular position, the lamp being connected to a current conducting cord. which passes inside the tubular column forming a development loop loaded with a counterweight.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view thereof, partly in section; Fig. 2 is a partial view, in elevation, (read the opposite side with respect to FIG. 1. The quinquet, shown in the drawing com carries a tubular column 1 which is erected on a workbench 2 and can turn in the latter. For this purpose, the lower part of the column is freely adjusted in a cylindrical hole 3, drilled through the workbench, and rests on a washer 4 fixed from below against the workbench by means of screws 5.
At column 1 is articulated, on a support 6 and by means of a bearing screw 7, the expandable device formed (the bars 8 connected together by articulation. The free end of the extensible device carries the electric lamp comprising the bulb 9, the socket 10 and the switch 11. The lamp could also be articulated at 13, on the extensible device.
Under the action of its own weight, the expandable positive say necessarily tends to turn on the screw 7 and to lower. Means have therefore been provided for fixing it in the required position. These means consist of a latch (fig.?) Comprising the segment 14 of the ratchet wheel and a pawl 1.5 with its spring 16. The toothed segment 14 is fixed against the support 6 by suitable means, while the pawl 15 is mounted <B> with </B> pivot on one of the bars 8 of the extensible device and constantly tends to engage by its beak, under the action of the spring 16, clans the teeth of the segment 14.
If the pawl is secured between two teeth of the segment, the expandable device with the lamp is kept bare by the latching and cannot be lowered without first releasing the pawl of segment 14. On the other hand, it can be lifted. without touching the ratchet.
On the screw 7 is still freely mounted a pulley 17 which penetrates inside the tubular column 1, through an opening provided in the latter. The cord 18 which brings the electric current to the lamp. has at its free end a plug 16 key socket key current: from this end, it. passes inside the tubular column 1, through an opening 20, of the latter, where it forms a large development loop downwards by passing over a pulley 21 with a yoke carrying a counterweight 22; from there the cord passes through the pulley 3-'i to end at the lamp.
The purpose of this arrangement is to prevent the key bead from dragging and becoming entangled on the workbench, in other words. to become bulky.
The counterweight 22 tends constantly, in fact, key recalling the ends of the cord towards the inside of column 1, so that the cord is always stretched whatever the lengthening of the extensible device: The extensible device can be oriented clans all directions, since it is integral with the tubular column 1 which can turn clans workbench 2; it can be raised or lowered, as described above, finally it can be lengthened, as shown in fig. ---), and shortened again after being lengthened.
