Ce bascule ment se fait en disposant deux doigts sur deux extrcniités du diamètre situé- dans le plan de la fi-#ure et: en appuyant avec un doit sur lP. capsule pendant qu'avec un autre on soulève légèreijic#nt celle-ci; dans ce mouve ment. une partie de la surface tronconique (à droite en fi,. 4) s'eilage plus profondé ment sous le bourrelet, tandis que la. partie oppose glisse le long du bourrelet;
Le fonctionnement est le même que clans le cas de la capsule légèrement élastique. L-P capsule étant en place. l'ouverture se filet (i'ig. 7) en faisant basculer la. capsule an- ton r chi. diamètre joignant le cintre des deux méplats;
ce basculement se fait en ilisposanl- deux doigts aux deux extrémit--',s du diamé' i e perpendiculaire, matérialisé par un repère sur le e-ouloi- du récipient et en appuyant avec l'lzn des doigts pendant qu'avec l'autre on soillève légèrement la capsule; celle-ci glissp le ton- du bourrelet. et se dégage, d'un côté. de celili-ci, tandis que. de l'autre, elle pénètre plus profondément sous lui;
Device for the temporary fixing of two parts together. The invention relates to a device for the temporary fixing of two parts together. According to the invention, one of the parts comprises a cylindrical extension having, at its free end, a circular bead, while the other part comprises a ring, in one piece, consisting of a cylindrical part ending in a part frustoconical which tapers towards the end and whose minimum diameter is less than the maximum diameter of the wad let, .le all so that, when the two pieces are assembled, the cylindrical part surrounds the bead,
while the frustoconical part engages behind it and that, to separate these parts, it suffices to incline the ring on the axis of the cylinder, which causes a part of the frustoconical surface to engage more deeply behind the let wad, while the opposite part, on the contrary, emerges from it by passing over it. This device can be used with advantage to fix a capsule to. a bottle neck; in this case, the latter will present said bead and. that one. said ha, lgue. It can also be used for the junction of two pipes. the fixing between them of two parts of a press stud etc.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example. four embodiments of a device according to the invention, applied to, the, attachment of a capsule to a (Yonlot de, bou teille (fig. 1 to. 8). and one embodiment applied to . the. fixing of a cover Ï) an inkwell (fig. 9).
The capsule (the first embodiment (fil. 1 to 1) comprises a base 1 and a falling cylindrical part \ ?. without slits or teeth. Whose edge 3 is recessed by stamping so as to constitute an overhang. frustoconical face The whole is made of a single piece and of somewhat elastic material In the interior of the capsule is arranged a disc 1 of flexible material, for example rubber.
The container 5. on which. the capsule must be fixed has a neck, 6 of generally cylindrical shape. the top of which carries a circular bead 7. Its maximum diameter is a little larger than that of the recessed entry of the capsule.
The operation of this fixing device is as follows: With the capsule in place on the container (fig. 3), the separation will take place (fig. 4) by tilting at the. hand, and without the aid of any instrument, the capsule around one of its diameters, for example, the diameter per- pendicula.ire to the plane of the. fi-. 4.
This tilting is done by placing two fingers on two ends of the diameter located in the plane of the thread and: by pressing with a must on lP. capsule while with another one lifts lightlyijic # nt this one; in this movement. a part of the frustoconical surface (on the right at fi ,. 4) peels deeper under the bead, while the. opposing part slides along the bead;
just one. small effort: so that the troll-conical part crosses the bead at both ends called diameter perpendicular to the plane of the. thread #, nre.
Fixing is done by performing the reverse opera- tion: mi presents the. capsule obliquely relative to the bead as shown in fi--. 4; we push it in front of us to make it fit the right part of the bead, then we tilt down the, -allelie part of the capsule:
it only takes a little: effort, polish so that the recessed entry of the capsule crosses the beads at both ends of the diameter located in the plane of the fi @ eure.
At the end of this operation, the hermeticity of the closure is ensured by means of the say that I- in caoiltcbouc, leather, cork etc., which. applied to, force on the edges of the container, shape comes out due to its elasticity.
In the embodiment shown in fi ,,. â, the constricted entry 9 of the slightly elastic capsule 10 has a slightly oval shape, this ovalization allowing the capsule to exercise. by the ends of its small diameter, pressure on the lower part of the cord, pressure thus adding to the effect of the disc to ensure the hermeticity of the closure, and if necessary allowing: it to do without this seal.
The operation which has just been done supposes that the. capselle has a certain elasticity. however small it is. For absolutely rigid caps, for example. eyelash glass, the embodiment cie- fig. 6 and 7; in it, the neck of the container is still provided with a bead:
circular 1.1. but this has two slight flats 12 and 13 diametrically opposed. The maximum diameter of the bead 1.1 is a little larger than that of the reireinte entry of the capsule, except at the place of the two m = - flats 12 e1: -13 where it is of the same diameter or same (the diameter a little less.
The operation is the same as in the case of the slightly elastic capsule. L-P capsule being in place. the opening threads (i'ig. 7) by tilting it. capsule anton r chi. diameter joining the hanger of the two flats;
this tilting is done by ilisposanl- two fingers at both ends - ', s of the perpendicular diameter, materialized by a mark on the e-ouloi- of the container and pressing with the lzn of the fingers while with the another the capsule is lightly boiled; this slips the tone of the bead. and emerges, on one side. of this, while. on the other, it penetrates more deeply under him;
the opening is then done by itself. the two dishes 12 ei; 13 allowing free pa.ssa @ # @ d #, Here, capqule. The. Fixing is done ex-c.ut, # 1nt the option. reverse.
The disc 4 is pierced with a central circular opening through which the pressure of the container enters behind it. This device makes it possible to automatically obtain the tightness of the lining 4 by its development caused by this pressure. It is well known that the less the capsule is elastic by itself the more it is necessary for this to be so.
In the. embodiment of fig. 8, the capsule is connected to the container to which it is to be applied, by a flexible link consisting of a metal wire 15 fixed. on the one hand, to the capsule and, on the other hand, to an eein- turc 16 comprising a part 17 forming a spring. black pudding. The elasticity of this belt allows it, when it is put in place, to pass through the bead 7 of the neck to enter it inside a groove 1.8 formed on the neck, and in which it remains in place. .
The fixation constituted by the above-mentioned devices is extremely energetic; its resistance to tearing under the action of the pressure prevailing inside the container is very high and can reach up to:, fi kg- per cm2 for a metal thickness of / ", mm. The capsule , of a simple and inexpensive construction, can be set up and withdrawn a large number of times without thereby undergoing any degradation.
These devices can accommodate a considerable number of applications: they can be used for fixing the lids of metal cans such as shoe polish boxes. mobile automobile oiler caps, gasoline or water tank caps in automobiles, electrical switch caps, etc.
The embodiment of FIG. 9 shows the attachment of a cover to an inkwell with reversible content. This cover is perforated in its center 19 and the edges of this perforation are extended by a cornic part 20 which serves as a starting point for the tubing 21.
