f1 .u dessin annexé, donné à titre d'exemple, Fig. 1 est une élévation de face, partie en coupe, d'une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention; Fig. 2 est une élévation de l'extrémité ar rière, partie en coupe transversale;
(fig.

Sewing machine. This invention relates to a chisel machine comprising a main shaft wedged with two sections in alignment connected by a coupling member and one of which is part of the mechanism. form the point.
According to the invention, several control devices which can be disengaged independently from one another, are connected to the second section of the shaft.
f1. the accompanying drawing, given by way of example, FIG. 1 is a front elevation, partly in section, of an embodiment of the object of the invention; Fig. 2 is an elevation of the rear end, part in cross section;
Fig. 3 is a perspective view showing the rear section and part of the front section of the main shaft of the machine, as well as one of the helical gears by which it is connected to the armature shaft of a motor electric, and Fig. 4 is a similar view of the coupling member for the sections of the main shaft.
As shown in the drawing, the machine has a frame of a well-known form, comprising the table 1, which carries the hollow upright 2, which is integral with the tubular arm 3, in the head 4 of which the holder is mounted. - needle 5, back and forth, (he carries needle 6. The tubular arm 3 contains the bearings or bushings 7, 8, which are spaced (fans the longitudinal direction and in which turns the front section 9, actuating the needle, of the main shaft, which comprises the two parts 9, 10. The rear section 10, of the shaft, which is tubular, is mounted in alignment with the section 9 and rotates in a suitable boss 1.1, provided at the upper end of the upright 2 and spaced from the sleeve or bearing 8.
The needle holder receives its movement from a connecting rod and crank device actuated by the front end of the section 9 of the shaft in a known manner. The needle 6 cooperates, to form the points, with a rota looper. - the yew 12 which is mounted, under the table, on the ex tréir (upper ity of the vertical shaft 13, which carries, at its lower end, the bevel pinion 14 in engagement with a bevel pinion of greater diameter, 15,
which is carried by the front end of the 16 rotary shaft mounted in bearings 1.7 suspended from the tiller. The rear part of the shaft 16 is connected,:; grates the pair of bevel gears 18, 19 to the intermediate shaft 20, which rises inside the upright 2 and is connected, by the bevel gears 21 , 22 at section 9 of the main tree.
The shafts 9, 20, 16 and 13, connected together by en-renages, ensure the cooperation of the needle 6 and of the looper 1-2 at the desired relative moments; they constitute a l) part of the mechanism used to form the point :.
Around the rear section, or engine section, 10 (the main shaft, is arranged a bushing 23 which constitutes one of the elements of a bearing and; has, at its ends, tracks (the bearing for balls 24 .
One of the two series of balls is re-enue in its raceway: by a collar or base 25 which forms a path (the bearing: complementary, and the other series is held by a collar 26 which is fixed to the arm 10 by the set screw 27 and has a groove in its inner end to form a bearing clinker complementary to that of the sleeve 23.
The adjacent ends of the sections 9, 10 of the shaft have transverse slots 28, 29 (FIG. 3). to receive the coupling key 30 which is fixed, by means of a pin 31. (fig. 4) in a transverse slot, the formed in the end of a drawbar 32, which transversely crosses section 10 of the shaft and carries, at:
its opposite end, the button (the ma- T10eiivi'e 33.
We can, of course, consider the section 10 of the main shaft as a second shaft that can be coupled respectively uncoupled, at the will of the operator, with the section 9 which is part of the mechanics. @ used to, form the point.
On the rear end of the tubular section 10 of the main shaft, at. the outside of the frame of the maebiue, is fixed, by means of the pressure screw 34, the hub. 3 5 of a flywheel 36 which. is integral with the grooved pulley 37 which receives, as shown in the drawing, the. driving belt 38, which comes from some driving member, for example, the pulley of a pedal device.
The collar 26, wedged on the shaft 10, constitutes the hub of a pinion whose peripheral teeth 26 'mesh with those of a driving toothed wheel 39, whose hub 40 rotates on a shoulder screw 41, screwed on my 2.
The outer part chi hub 40 and provided with a cavity which receives the head of the screw or axis 41 and which is tapped in its end part to receive the external threaded part of a screw or stud 42 carried by the hub a crank 43 carrying, at its external routed end, the handle 44.
When not using the hand-operated control device thus constituted., The crank 4-3 and its threaded stud 42 are removed and the wheel 39 is pushed inwards to release it from the pinion 26 ', the peripheral teeth do the, wheel 39 then bearing against the spring (the retainer 45 whose free end, offset enters a slot p, ériph.érique 46 reser vée clans the crown or rim 47 of the housing 48.
in the form of a segment, which is provided with a or opening 49 to receive the, screw or a.xe to shoulder ment 41. thanks to which it is fixed on the upright 2. The other end of the spring 45 is fixed, by a screw 50, on the periphery of the rim 47.
To put the hand control device in working order, the stud 42 is screwed into the housing of the 4-0 hub; this stud, by meeting the head of the wash 41 forces the driving wheel 39 to move outwards to come into mesh with the pinion 26 'and, in this position (the organs, the hub or central part of the crank 43 comes to bear against the end of the hub 40, so that by continuing to rotate the crank, the section 1.0 of the shaft is driven via (the pinions 26 'and? 9 meshing together.
Tie machine frame present, at. the place where. the tubular arm 3- connects to the frame 2, an opening 51 whose internal wall forms an annular seat in which the rib cm annular flange 52 e ,, t </ U> mounted said motor shown in fig. 2.
This motor is built apart from the inaeltine and: comprises, according to the drawing, a stator 5 3, which has the shape of a bowl so <t present, in its outer face or rear face, a cavity which receives the armature or rotor 59- as well as the s' @ ric, of coils 55 which surrounds this induct and which constitutes a part ten stator supported by the laminated part 56 said frame of this stator.
The frame or frame of the stator is provided, on its opposite face, with an axial boss; i7 which receives the armature shaft and which has, between its ends, a cavity 58, intended to receive a gear wheel and open by binding. rie boss 57 is provided with bearings 59 in the dual rotates the armature shaft.
On the shaft 65 of the armature, inside do; the cavity 58, is the pinion 66, ii, helical toothing, which meshes with 11n larger similar pinion, 67, loose on section 7; p $ ia the main shaft. The helical pinions 66, 67, meshing together, thus constitute a smooth-running speed reducer which allows the use of a running motor.
normally at high speed and having, consequently, the minimum dimensions, in e <@ard to, the power to be developed.
The internal part, forming the hub of the pinion 67, is provided with an offset recess 68 (fig. 3) which opens at one end into the bore of said pinion and in which is the roller of the pinion. clutch 69, which is pushed normally towards the open end of the crucible by the spring 70, in a well known manner.
The pinion 67 bears against the collar or base 25 said shaft section 10 which supports it and the clutch roller 69, as well as its spring, are retained inside the recess 68 by a collar 71 which is fixed on the shaft 70 by the pressure screw 72.
The freewheel clutch thus formed, between the shaft 10 and the motor, by the roller 69 and the walls of the recess 68 works automatically polishing
