  Verfahren zur     Darstellung    eines     harzartigen        Körpers.       Es ist     bekannt,    dass sich ein     harzartiger     Körper durch     Veresterung    des     Kondensations-          produktes    von technischem     Kresol    und For  inaldehyd mit     Toluolsulfoclilorid    erhalten     lässt.     Es hat sich gezeigt,     dass    man diesen harz  artigen Körper in seiner     Harznatur    wesent  lich     verbessern    kann,

   wenn     nian        ihn    im  Vakuum auf     Temperaturen    bis auf über  100   C erhitzt.  



       plan        erhält        dann    einen Körper,     der    sich  vollkommen wie ein     Naturharz        verhillt.    er  ist hart, durchsichtig und weist einen     höheren          ",chnielzpunkt    als der Ausgangsstoff' auf.  



       Man    kann das Harz entweder in     eiüein     Lösungsmittel wie Benzol oder einem Ho  mologen auflösen und den     liückstand    nach       Abdestillation    des Lösungsmittels erhitzen  oder     man        kann    das Harz auch direkt     er-          lntzen.       <I>Beispiel 1:</I>    Ein     dur;

  li        Veresterung    des     Kondensa-          tionsproduktes    aus technischem     Kresol        und          Formaldeli#,-d    mit     Toluolsulfoclilorid    erhal  tenes Harz wird in     Benzol    aufgelöst, das  Lösungsmittel     abdestilliert    und der Rück-    stand     nunmehr        ini        Vakuum    bis auf     etwa     11U"     erwärmt.    Man     erhält    dann ein hartes       durehsielitiges    Harz.  



       Beispiel        1I     Ein durch V     eresterung    des Kondensa  tionsproduktes von     teclinischern        Kresöl-    und       Fornialdehvd    mit     Toluolsulfoehloric1    in     Ben-          zollösung        erhaltenes    Harz wird durch Destil  lation     ini    Vakuum vom     Lösungsmittel    Be  freit     und    alsdann im Vakuum weiter bis       auf    etwa 1111"     erwärmt.

       EXAMPLE 11 A resin obtained by esterification of the condensation product of technical crescent and formaldehyde with toluene sulphonyl chloride in benzene solution is freed of solvent by distillation in vacuo and then heated further in vacuo to about 1111 ".

Claims

PATENT CLAIM: Process for the production of a resin-like @ii; rpeis with the property of -natural resins, characterized in that the resin obtained by esterification of the condensation product from technical cresol and formaldehyde with folnolsulfoolilorid is obtained in a vacuum to temperatures up to heated above 100 C.

The end product behaves like a natural resin, is hard, transparent and has a higher melting point than the starting material.
