Centrifugal separator. The object of the present invention is a centrifugal separator, characterized by the combination of a vertical bowl with tubular boss, lower, axially disposed, with a fixed nozzle entering this boss to supply the bowl with the liquid to be separated and with a support member capable of low lateral displacement and in which this wise bos can rotate with a sealed seal so that the liquid cannot have access to the exterior of said boss and to said support member.
The advantage of this construction is that it protects the friction surfaces of the tubular bos sage of the bowl and of the support member against the access of the liquid to be separated in order to avoid deterioration of said surfaces by wear.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a vertical section taken through the lower part of this embodiment; Fig. 2 is a similar vertical section. niai, the wing at right angles to that of fig. 1; Fig. 3 is a horizontal section along the. line 3X-3 \ of the. fi-. 1: Fig. 4 is a detail section on the file 4--4x of FIG. 1.
The centrifugal separator shown comprises a casing 1 having a lower opening 2 in which is fitted a closure body 3 provided with a lower rim -1 which rests against the underside of the casing.
The lower part of the latter has a transverse housing approximately semi-cylindrical 5 completed by a lo, l), similarly 6 made in:
the shutter body 3 to form a cylindrical hole, in which can turn a cylindrical rod 9, forming a key. which has a concave notch 10 capable, in a certain position of the rod, of conforming to the shape of the periphery of the body 3 to allow the latter to move axially with respect to the casing. in another position, as shown, the rod 9 serves to lock the body 3 in the casing 1.
An annular groove <B> Il. </B> made at one of the ends of the rod 9 receives the point of a vil? mounted in the lower part of the casing 1, this arrangement preventing the 9 from being withdrawn from its housing, the rod. 9 being provided at its outer end, with an operating handle allowing the tour ner (its locking position to its unlocking position, and vice versa.
A capsule 13 is screwed onto a reduced threaded part 14 of the body 3 and retains thereon, by means of a coil spring 16, a ferrule 15 before the shape of a 2 in cross section and interlocking on a bush 17. The. ferrule 15 is. provided with iiiii erynt 18 which. F # n penetrating into an opening 19 of part 14, prevents the ferrule from rotating while allowing it to move laterally. -An ei -.- ot ï connects the vi role 15 and the socket 1 î.
l n suspended rotating bowl 20 is available, so that the lower tubular boss 21 soli is disposed. inside parts 13.
1 5 and 17, parts 13 and 15 not touching the bossa-e, while the. part 17 v is added with gentle friction. Low lateral movement is allowed at the lower part of the bowl, thanks to the small lateral play allowed in the ferrule 15, subjected to the pressure of the spring 16.
We will understand. that the boss 21 can be introduced in the. socket 17 or be removed, by moving the bowl 0 vertically. and that the sleeve 17 can slide relative to the bossa - @; e and to the casing. the bowl being cry instead.
A nozzle 22 is mounted in an anti-viblP manner in a surface 23 provided in the body 3 and extends into the boss 21. A tube 2-b for the arrival of the liquid to be separated is attached to the part. lower of the nozzle 22 by a union nut 25 which is screwed on the threaded bush 26 constituting part of the scope of the. nozzle, the nozzle being held in place by the -tube 24 and can be lifted by removing the nut and the tube 24.
The liquid to be separated is introduced through the tube and the. nozzle through the internal boss of the bowl, without coming into contact with the outside of the bush, with the socket or with the con nex parts.
The body 2 comprises a duct 27 which starts from a tube 28 screwed into the rim 4 and ends in a duct 29 passing through the ferrule 15 and communicating with a duct 29 <B> '</B> pas- -41111; through the sleeve 17, so that a lubricant; can be brought to the joints: between the parts subjected to friction.
<B> The, </B> body 3 contains a chamber 30 provided with an orifice 31 for the escape of the material from the bowl. through the bos- sa.ge 21. at the end of an operation, without it @ - having contact with the outside of this boss, the bush or the related parts subjected to friction.
