The invention relates to a time-keeping device, in particular a watch, with a frame and a balance wheel with a balance shaft, the first end of which is mounted in the frame, whereas its second end is supported by means of a balance shaft bearing in an elastically deformable balance wheel, which is supported at one end with the gesture)) is firmly connected by a fastening means and at the other end is tensioned in the direction of the frame by means of an adjusting screw, the balance shaft bearing on a central part of the base between the fastening means and the screw, but at a transverse distance from their connection) inie, is arranged.
In known time-keeping devices of the type mentioned, the balance wheel oscillates under the force of a drive spring, an electrical accumulator or some other energy source in order to deliver a time standard in this way. It is important that the backlash of the balance shaft is adjustable. If the balance shaft is too high spic! has, this can result in inhibition errors or positional errors; In addition, the bearings and the balance shaft can be damaged. when the watch is subjected to shocks. If, on the other hand, the balance shaft has too little height. the balance wheel cannot swing back and forth with an amplitude that is sufficiently large for good regulation, and too much energy is lost in the process.
It is now known in watchmaking, one of the two structures. each carrying a balance shaft bearing to be axially adjustable. A design is to be aimed at so that one or more settings can be made in the manufacturer's works and, if necessary, additional settings can be carried out for revisions and repairs. The adjustable component is usually the balance cock. the setting of which is often referred to as lifting air adjustment.
Many types of balance cock adjusters are known. For example, the unrubber block of the German utility model specification no. 1 481 415 has a single screw drive, but apart from the difficulties in assembly, it has the disadvantage. that balance shaft bearings and / or shaft journals can be damaged by tightening the screw too far. With screw drives and especially with worn watches, the screw can also loosen under the influence of vibrations or clogs, whereby the adjustment of the balance cock is lost. Adjustment devices of this type are neither foolproof nor operationally reliable.
To increase operational safety, security devices such. B. the locking screws used in French Patent No. 24,117. However, since the number of components is thereby undesirably increased, the endeavor appeared in the course of further development. to equip already existing components with security properties.
In this direction, an advance has been made by Swiss patent specification No. 371 746. where the safety function is taken over by the two fastening screws. which are primarily used to attach the self-supporting balance cock to the frame. The elimination of a special safety device is bought at the cost of unreasonable disadvantages in the setting up, which are only gradually based on the trial-and-error principle, e.g. B. by inputting.
Before each actuation of the adjusting device, which is designed as a set screw, the two fastening screws must be tocked, which means that the entire balance cock loses its firm connection to the frame, the balance shaft tilts and the position of the balance shaft bearings is changed relative to one another. The operating state must be restored after each setting by evenly tightening both fastening screws again, i. H. through an additional activity.
The operation described above must be repeated several times due to the discontinuous operation. d. That is, it is associated with a great deal of work and time. It also requires great skill, because the construction is not fool-proof and the usable adjustment range is very small. A certain amount of progress has been achieved with Swiss patent specification No. 368 752, which describes a continuously adjustable balance cock with safety properties.
The adjustment device for the height play is located at the end of the balance cock opposite the fixed connection point of the balance cock with the frame, which is designed to be elastically deformable analogous to a spiral spring supported at one end. The adjustment device has an adjusting screw screwed into the balance cock at the free end section and transversely to the plane of the balance cock, with a stop ring which engages in an annular groove of a pin firmly connected to the frame. in order to reduce the deflection of the balance cock and thus clas high altitude noise! to adjust the balance shaft.
However, this solution has the following disadvantages i. To adjust the balance cock, two complex components are required, namely the control screw with the stop ring and the pin with the ring groove.
The engagement of the two named parts is not free of play. as the ring groove must be made wider a! s the stop ring. For this reason, vibrations and shocks can lead to an adjustment of the adjusting screw 3. Operational safety is also not guaranteed because of the special configuration of the balance cock
Shocks and shocks lead to a swing of the balance wheel and thus to a change in the height play of the balance shaft.
4. The assembly is complicated and time-consuming because of the engagement of the stop ring and the annular groove. On top of that, there is a risk. that the sensitive shafts pin and / or the bearings are damaged.
The object of the invention is to create a long-term device of the type mentioned above, which does not have the disadvantages listed above and with the least amount of equipment and time, a play-free, continuous setting of the height of the game and at the same time reliable protection against unintentional adjustment , Vibrations and shocks are allowed.
The time-keeping device according to the invention is characterized. that the balance cock has at a distance from the adjusting screw and in the opposite direction to the position of the fastening means by means of at least one nose protruding transversely to the plane of the balance cock. which keeps the balance cock at a distance from the surface of the frame facing it and which is pressed against this surface under the action of the adjusting screw, and that the adjusting cover is supported against the balance cock and is inserted into the frame.
In this way the advantage is achieved that the requirements placed on a time-keeping device are met more expediently than was possible with the previously known designs, namely with regard to freedom of play, the delicate, reproducible setting and, with sufficient the upward bending preload of the bridge, the insensitivity to vibrations, and all of this in spite of the cheaper manufacturability and simple assembly.
In the preferred embodiment, the balance cock is thinner at its central part carrying the associated balance shaft bearing than at its ends. Appropriately, this Tci is raised relative to the facing surface of the frame. The adjusting screw preferably has a smaller radial distance from the balance shaft bearing than the nose. It is also useful. if the balance cock has two lugs arranged at a distance from one another at the end section on which the adjusting screw is arranged.
Further advantages of the invention emerge from the following description in connection with the drawing, which contains an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. In the drawing show:
Fig. 1 is a plan view of a Ausführungsheispiet of the subject of the invention He showing a part of a balance cock and a frame plate and
FIG. 2 shows a section along line 2-2 of FIG. 1.
In the Ausführungsbeispie) according to Fig.) And 2, a dial with 1 and a front frame plate with 2 is designated, which can belong to a clock or any other time-keeping device. The front frame plate 2 is the main frame plate of the device, but it can also, if necessary, be designed as a bridge member of a main frame plate. A wheel bridge 3 is arranged on part of the inside of the precuring frame plate 2.
In the inside of the wheel bridge 3 there is a balance block 4. Part of the wheel bridge acts as a spacer, as shown in FIG. so as to separate the balance cock 4 from the frame plate 2. The balance cock 4 carries an upper jewel bearing 5. which has a single bearing jewel 6 with a V-shaped cavity for the rotary movement and axial limitation. The bearing block 6 is arranged in a retaining ring 7. However, the bearing can also have a different construction.
Furthermore, a balance ring 8 is attached to a balance shaft 9, which together form the balance wheel! the. The balance ring 8 is kept oscillating with the aid of a flat spiral spring 10. The balance is kept in motion by a tension spring, not shown, or it carries a coil 32, which is part of an electrical drive system that uses a battery (not shown) or a rechargeable battery. ator. One end of the spiral spring 10 is fastened to the balance shaft hub 11, the other end is firmly connected via a pin to a pin 12 which is attached in a hole in the balance cock 4. The oscillation of the balance ring 8 results in a time adjustment in a known manner.
The balance wheel 9 is between the upper Steiniger 5 and one! arranged below, in the front frame plate 2, attached plastic bearings 37.
In order to be able to make gait corrections. a ROcker 31 is provided, which has an arm and a hole 3 () into which the holding rail 7 fits.
As one of the supports for the one end piece of the balance arm, a first foot 3 is attached to this balance arm. A second foot 14 is opposite to the first foot 13 on the same end piece of the balance! ohens 4. in such a way that both feet 13 and 14 are preferably on the edge of a cbritcht. The feet 13 and 14 are relatively strong and keep the balance cock 4 at a distance from the wheel bridge 3.
The distance above the wheel bridge 3. as indicated by the feet 13 and! 4 is formed. now allows the balance cock to be brought closer to the wheel bridge 3 during an inward movement. d. H. a tension adjustment of the balance cock.
The balance cock 4 is shown in cross-section in FIG. 2 and has a raised or arched central part 33. The central part 33 is preferably thinner than the end parts integral with it and carries the upper stone bearing 5. The softening of the central part 33 makes this central part relatively flexible.
An adjusting screw 20 is arranged in a hole 21 of the balance arm 4. The screw has a head with a slot 22 for turning the screw and also a shaft 23 with an external thread over the entire length. The shaft is now screwed into the internal thread of a hole 24 in the dial 1. The set screw 20 can also take other forms. For example, it can have a Phillips head on its top. or the shaft can be provided with an outer thread only on the lower part. while the rest is cylindrical.
The shaft 23 is covered at its middle part by a pipe section 34. The pipe section 34 that fits into the hole 21 of the balance block 4 is used to position the balance block during the assembly of the clockwork.
The end of the balance cock 4 opposite to the flanks 13 and 14 is stationary.Instead of making one end of the bridge stationary and the other adjustable, both ends can also be adjustable, in which case two adjusting screws and flutes are provided at both ends of the balance cock .
The opposite end of the balance cock 4 is held on a saute 28. Furthermore, a screw 25 provided with a slot 26 penetrates a hole 27 of the balance cock 4 with play. The column 2K, which has an annular collar 29, is held by screwing the screw 25 into its threaded hole 30. The annular collar 29 fits into the hole 27 of the balance cock 4 and is used to position the balance cock.
The shape of the balance cock has roughly the shape of a triangle in plan view. The feet 13 and 14 and the adjusting screw 20 are in the vicinity of a first point, the screw 25 is in the vicinity of a second point and the stone bearing 5 in the vicinity of a third point of this triangle.
