Ceci exposé, si l'on met la machine en marche, en ayant soin due le concluit 14 soit alimenté de la matière qu'on désire amener à d'état de comprimés, quand le plan radial o h sera devenu horizontal et dirigé vers le galet, l'espace entre les poinçons 9 et 10 sera exclusivement occupé par la matière à com primer et. la distance entre lesdits poinçons sera maximum;
l'e#Ftace entre .les poin- cons continuera d'abord à diminuer et de- viendra minimum au moment où l'arêtes (le la carie franchira le galet. 6, de sorte due la matière aura été réduite (le volume, c.'est- à-dire comprimée clans .la chambre 20 de la matrice 17.;
Par ce qui précède on voit: 1" que la matière entre dans la matrice (lu côté du conduit vertical 11, et en ressort sous forme de comprimés du côté -du con duit 15; N" due la disposition de l'ensemble des organes de la machine permet l'adaptation de di#:positifs alimentaires particuliers exi gés pour certaines matières à traiter dont l'état, pulvérulent ou visqueux réduirait trop l'effet. de la pesanteur sur elle;
;i" due la quantité de matière à admettre cour faire un comprimé de poids déterminé est obtenue d'une façon très précise, en fai sant. varier le moment où le poinçon 10 pé nètre clans la matrice, c'est-à-dire en réglant la proéminence de celle-ci clans le conduit alimentaire 14; 'r" que la compression est aisément régla ble en raccourcissant les bielles ou en allon geant les poinçons; 5" due les poinçons et la matrice, c'est à-dire les .pièces à changer pour passer d'une fabrication à une autre, sont d'un usinage simple et d'un montage aussi rapide due facile;
ylacbine to make coniprines. The object of the invention is a machine intended to transform into tablets any hard or soft, pulverulent, grainy or pasty material.
This machine comprises two horizontal punches suitably guided in a frame to be able to work in a fixed matrix, placed between a vertical supply duct of the substance to be compressed and a vertical ejection duct of the finished tablets, and arranged so as to be controlled one by two eccentrics re linked by connecting rods and.
the other by a cam acting on a roller connected to it and applied against said cam by an elastic pressure, the arrangement and the conformation of said centric and -of said cam being such that both their maximum eccentricities and their eccentricities minima correspond and that, while the two punches are moving in one direction, they pass from the vertical supply duct into the matrix and there imprison between them a determined quantity of the substance to be compressed,
the y then submit to the desired compression and then succeed in rejecting the finished tablet from the die through the vertical ejection duct.
The accompanying drawing is shown, by way of example, an embodiment of the invention.
Figs. 1 and 2 are respectively a longitudinal vertical section and a longitudinal horizontal section: of the machine.
The frame 1 carries the moving parts of the machine and a fixed die 11. On the shaft 2 provided with two eccentrics and the cam 4 are further keyed the flywheel 18 and the drive pulley 19. The cam 4 is a cylinder cut on one side parallel to its axis. The punch 9, guided in the frame 1, is actuated by the cam 4 via a roller 6 carried by a slide 7 integral with said punch.
A second punch 10 also guided .clans the frame 1 is controlled by the eccentrics 3 by means of connecting rods 5 and a slide 8, integral with said punch. A res out 13 urges in opposite directions, on the one hand, the slide 8 -and, on the other hand, the slide-7 and its roller 6 by means of a spring box 7. \ Z and. of: punches 1'7.
A fixed matrix 11 is interposed between the two vertical conduits 11i and 15 crossing the frame 1 right through.
The conduit 11k is intended to be supplied with the material to be compressed and it is. fitted in its lower part with a hatch 16 allowing, when stationary (the machine,
to empty said food duct. The eccentrics 3 are arranged relative to the cam F in such a way that the greater eccentricity of the latter corresponds to the greater eccentricity of the two eccentrics 3 el, that the lesser eccentricity of the latter corresponds to the lesser eccentricity of the cam 4.
It follows that, when during a rotation of the shaft 2, the radial plane o b, corresponding to this greater eccentricity, is in a horizontal position and directed towards the roller. 6, the two punches 9 and, 10 occupy their outer .po sitions (the right, in which the punch 9 completely fills the.
niatrix 1.1, tan-clii # due to the punch 10 completely disengages the duct. l4.
If then the tree? moves 90 "so as to bring the radial plane r, b in a horizontal position and. directed towards the roller 6, then. the punch 9 will occupy only a part of said die 11, while the punch 10 will have started to penetrate into -This last thus due it is indicated at the des-in, and when, after another angular displacement (the shaft N of 90,
it will be the radial plane n (Z which will have been brought to the 1-orizontal position and. crimped directed towards the roller 6, the punch 9 will have released the orifice 15 and in turn 1o punch 10 will completely fill the die 1.1. Finally when ,
following an angular displacement Cie the tree \? of 90 ". the radial plane o r will have become horizon tal and come to be placed opposite the roller 6, the punches 9 and. 1.0 will have resumed their positions shown in the drawing.
This stated, if the machine is started, taking care due the conclusion 14 is supplied with the material which one wishes to bring to the state of tablets, when the radial plane o h will have become horizontal and directed towards the roller, the space between the punches 9 and 10 will be exclusively occupied by the material to be compressed and. the distance between said punches will be maximum;
but, during the subsequent angular displacement Ce the shaft 2 of 90 ", that is to say while the radial plane o a. moves to come to occupy the position indicated in the drawing, the punch 9 moving towards the gaticlie will aspire said conclusion. 14 in the matrix 11 of the material due the .punch 10 approaching said repus matrix will also be in front of. him,
Given the distance between the punches 9 and 10 will cliirii- nuera, and this material will be trapped in quantity cloned in the die between the two punches which have come to occupy the position indicated in the drawing.
Has during chi angular displacement of the shaft \ 'of 90 ", by which the radial plane n (l becomes horizontal and. Is found to be directed towards the roller 6.
the e # Ftace between .the punches will first continue to decrease and will become minimum when the edges (the decay will cross the roller. 6, so due to the material will have been reduced (the volume, ie, compressed in chamber 20 of die 17 .;
but immediately. after the flat part of the, cam 1t arriving. in contact with the roller 6, the space between the punches 9 and 10 will increase to become again maximum when the radial plane o! l has become horizontal in front of the roller 6 and.
during this time the punch 10 will push the tablet out of the die ü into the conduit. 15 from which he will fall by gravity.
During the second sub sequent revolution of the shaft;?, The space between punches 9 and 10 will become smaller again. to become a minimum when the edge t of the cam 4 passes over the roller 4 and. will start to grow again immediately. after and until. this (, spins the radial plane b o has come to be placed longitudinally in front of the roller 6 and that the punch:
be. come to their extreme right positions, after which the described operation will recommence for the formation of a new tablet.
From the foregoing we see: 1 "that the material enters the matrix (read side of the vertical duct 11, and comes out in the form of tablets on the side of the duct 15; N" due to the arrangement of all the organs of the machine allows the adaptation of particular dietary positives required for certain materials to be treated, the powdery or viscous state of which would reduce too much the effect of gravity on it;
; owing to the quantity of material to be admitted in order to make a tablet of determined weight is obtained in a very precise manner, by varying the moment when the punch 10 enters the die, that is to say by adjusting the prominence thereof in the food duct 14; 'r "that the compression is easily adjustable by shortening the connecting rods or lengthening the punches; 5 "due to the punches and the die, that is to say the parts to be changed to pass from one production to another, are of a simple machining and of a as fast assembly due easy;
6 "due to the low mass of the moving parts and the low amplitude of the rectilinear movements of the punches allows high speed; i that the forces on the frame are minimal because they almost completely cancel each other out; 8" that the spring 13, while applying the roller against the cam 6, redeems all the longitudinal play of the moving members.
9 that the horizontal .position of the sliding parts prevents contact of the product with the oil required for lubricating the machine.
