Description

     Beiliegende Zeichnung zeigt mehrere beispielsweise Ausführungsformen der Vorrich- tung, die mit Vorteil für die Behandlung von Teer verwendet werden.

   Fig.   1    zeigt einen Teil eines Vertikalschnittes durch die erste Ausführungsform mit liegendem rotierendem Behälter ;
Fig. 2 zeigt eine Variante hierzu ;
Fig. 4 ist ein Längsschnitt durch eine Vorrichtung für fraktionierte Destillation mit mehreren stehenden rotierenden Behältern ;
Fig. 5 ist ein Grundriss hierzu, und
Fig. 6 eine Detailvariante.

  Device for boiling, evaporating and distilling liquids.

   The present invention relates to the boiling, evaporation and distillation of liquids, such as, for example, of domestic water, of suspensions such as tar, or of pasty masses in rotating containers. According to the invention, the device provided with at least one rotating container has a tube for each container for supplying the liquid to be treated, for example a pasty mass, for discharging the gaseous substances developed during the treatment and for discharging a residue remaining after the treatment. These tubes protrude into the rotatable container through at least one locking piece secured against rotation.

     The accompanying drawing shows several exemplary embodiments of the device which are used with advantage for the treatment of tar.

   1 shows part of a vertical section through the first embodiment with the rotating container lying on the ground;
Fig. 2 shows a variant of this;
3 schematically shows a vertical section through a device for fractional distillation with several horizontal rotating containers, and
4 is a longitudinal section through an apparatus for fractional distillation with a plurality of upright rotating vessels;
Fig. 5 is a plan view of this, and
6 shows a detailed variant.

   In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, 5, 6 denotes the closed container serving to hold the liquid, for example a pasty mass, which consists of the cylindrical vessel 5 and the cover 6 connected to it in a detachable manner.

  The container is stored horizontally in a furnace 7, and the lids 6 each have a hollow axle journal 5 'or. 6 ', which is rotatable in fixed bearings 8 of two hearth walls. A drive wheel 9, by means of which the container can be set in rotation, is seated on the journal 5 'outside the hearth.

   The furnace for heating the container is located in the hearth under the container 5,6. The fire gases can wash around the container on all sides and emerge from the hearth above it.

   A blank provided with a catch cap 13 is designated by 10, which protrudes through the axle journal 6 ′ into the container 5 and is mounted in a sealing piece 18 which is held against rotation by the arm 11 and is guided in the axle journal. The sealing piece 18 is sealed by a stuffing box 12. The catch cap 13 is used to catch the gases or vapors that develop during the treatment of the liquid, for example the pulpy mass, which are discharged through the pipe 10 to any place of use.

   14 is a float located in the container, which is used to indicate the liquid level and transmits its movement by means of an axis 15 guided in the journal 5 'to a pointer 16 attached to the latter, which displays on a fixed scale 17 outside the stove. The float is attached to an arm that is perpendicular to the axis 15.

   In addition to the tube 10, a second tube 19 is also mounted in the fixed sealing piece 18, which likewise protrudes into the container 5, 6 and is used for supplying the liquid to be treated, for example a pasty mass, il. serves the container.

   In the sealing piece 18 a third pipe 20 is also mounted, which protrudes into the loading container and is bent downwards at its inner end, so in. The residue remaining during the treatment of a liquid, so in the case of tar, dips into the pitch and Discharge the same is used.

   In the embodiment described above, the fact that the container rotates in the hearth and the wall section of the container that is exposed to the heating by the hearth is continuously replaced by another, cooler one while moving forward, the formation of a gas layer attached to the container edge and thus the known phenomenon the pyrogenic decomposition of the liquid is prevented as far as possible. Thus, as a result of the rotation of the container, vapor or air bubbles that form in all parts can get into the evaporation space above the liquid, for example the pulpy alasse, without having to work more or less laboriously through to the surface of the liquid.

   This prevents certain liquids from burning on, as well as the formation of scale and, when treating raw tar, for example, the formation of a coke-like or graphite-like crust.

   A crust formation can now take place to a certain extent in horizontally stored containers, which is the case, for example, in particular with tar and pitch, which contain a certain percentage of free carbon respectively. Contain sludge.

   If the liquid level in the container is not high enough or the speed of rotation of the container is too low, the liquid adhering to the container wall will evaporate and dry up from the moment the container wall exits the liquid until it re-enters, and the remaining carbon becomes a crust put on the wall. With each new rotation of the container, this process will repeat itself and the crust will increase in thickness.

   This can now be remedied by selecting the liquid level high enough or the speed for the container high enough so that the liquid adhering to the container wall does not have time to fully recover from the time the container wall exits the liquid until it re-enters it evaporate.

   In order to be able to regulate the liquid level in the container at will during operation, a siphon 20 '(FIG. 2) is advantageously used which is rotatably connected to the drain pipe 20 and can be adjusted relative to it. An air supply roller 20 ″ opens into the overflow point of this siphon, which is at the same height as the liquid level in the container 5, 6, so that the level in the container can be kept higher or lower depending on the position of the siphon relative to the drain pipe 20.

   When pitch evaporates, crust formation can also be remedied by introducing more pitch into the container than is supposed to be evaporated so that the free carbon deposited as sludge is washed away by the excess pitch.

   In Fig. 3, in which a device for the fractional distillation of tar is installed, several rotatable containers 5,6 like that shown in Fig. 1, stored horizontally in a stove 7 with a common hearth 2 so that they all be brushed and heated by the combustion gases. Here, parts occurring in Fig. 1 are provided with the same transfers.

   A vessel 21 is provided above the uppermost container 5 for receiving the raw tar, which is still in the area of the evacuating fire gases, so that its contents are already preheated. From this vessel the tar feed line 19 goes to the uppermost container 5, from which the residue that has not yet evaporated is guided through the lines 20 to the next container below and from there to the lowest container.

   The vapors generated in turn are conducted through the lines 10 from each container 5 to cooling coils 22, 23, 24, in which the vapors condense and from which the distillates are passed on for bottling. The drive wheels for the containers 5 are designed here as chain wheels 9 ′.

   In the device according to FIGS. 4 and 5, the rotatable containers 5, 6, which are also held cylindrically, are mounted vertically in the hearth 7 and are centered on the hearth 7 at the bottom by means of a hollow journal 5 'and at the top by means of balls 26 - leads. The flange of the boiler 5 is designed here as a ring gear in which a not shown drive tooth piston engages; by means of which the container can be rotated. The tube 10 is provided with a catch cap 13 for discharging the steam produced, and the feed tube 19 protrudes here through a sealing piece 18 from above into the container 5, 6.

  This sealing piece is mounted in the neck 28 provided centrally on the cover 6 and sealed by a stuffing box (not shown). Here too, the sealing piece is prevented from rotating by a fixed arm (not shown). The pipe 20, for its part, which serves to remove residues, protrudes through the hollow axle journal 5 'from below into the container d. H. into the residue deposited on the bottom of the latter, for example pitch. The fire gases from the furnace wash around the container above the floor in a horizontal direction.

   The individual, rotatable containers 5, 6 are offset vertically in their height relative to one another and are heated from the common hearth 2 in such a way that the containers are washed around one after the other by the fire gases above their floors. Before entering the chimney, the evacuating fire gases heat the vessel 21, which is higher than the uppermost container 5,6 on the stove, for example filled with raw tar.

   From this latter, the raw tar then flows through line 19 to the uppermost container 5, 6, from which the residue that has not yet evaporated is conveyed through lines 20 to the next lower container and from there to the lowest container, from which it flows into the Collection vessel 25 flows off. The vapors generated are in turn passed through the lines 10 from each container, as in the embodiment according to FIG. 3, into corresponding cooling coils 22, 23 and 24 (FIG. 5).

   The last-described embodiment with vertically arranged cylindrical containers 5-6 is particularly suitable for boiling, evaporating and distilling liquids, for example pasty masses which are more or less contaminated by substances suspended therein and, since they are not stirred, easily Precipitation can form because the container bottom, which primarily gives rise to this, is not heated in the case described.

   In order to be able to remove the impurities precipitating from the latter during such a treatment of pasty masses on the bottom of the container, the container bottom 3; as shown in Fig. 6, be arched so that an annular groove 29 is formed; in which the impurities collect and from which they can be removed by a sludge tap 30.

   When the container is arranged horizontally, the supply pipes 19 and the discharge pipes 10 and 20 can also be introduced into the container in a distributed manner through both axle journals instead of only through the one axle journal, as shown.
