In hig.
Device for the transmission of characters with electrical waves, which are generated by means of electrical discharge vessels in a vibration generator circuit. The invention relates to a device for transmitting characters with electric waves that are generated by discharge vessels in a vibration generator circuit.
The invention consists in the fact that a microphone is connected in circuits of the visual vibration generator circuit of the discharge vessel, which influence the strength of the transmitted waves, and a telephone is simultaneously connected in circuits of the vibration generator circuit that carry the amplified current, so that direct two-way communication is possible without switching is.
The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, which shows some execution examples in the scheme.
In hig. 1, the station A consists of an air conductor 1, the bezw via tuning and coupling elements 2. 3 is grounded. 4 is a vacuum tube with anode 5, grid 6 and hot cathode 7, which is heated by battery 8 via resistor 9. In the anode circle is the battery 10 with parallel capacitor 11. On the one hand, the coil 3, and on the other hand a grid coil 12 with a parallel-connected tunable capacitor 13 is connected to the filament. This circuit generates vibrations in a manner known per se.
To turn this circuit into a circuit for wireless telephony with two-way communication, it is necessary to influence the vibration amplitudes in the rhythm of the speech. For this purpose, a microphone or a microphone operating device can be switched on in the relevant line at one of the points marked with crosses 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 (primarily in resonance circles). If the microphone is switched on at point 17, it is advantageous to bypass it with a coil. A telephone can be switched on with a capacitor connected in parallel at one of the locations indicated by circles 21, 22, 23, 24, 25.
The opposite station B (FIG. 2) is designed exactly accordingly, and the same numbers have the same meaning here as in FIG. 1. It can be seen that wireless two-way communication is easily possible with the aid of the circuit shown.
A microphone at point 14 influences the cathode temperature by changing the heating current; at points 15, 16, it influences the resistance of the anode or v. Antenna circle and thus the amplitude of the emitted energy, at the points 17, 18 the resistance of the grid and thus the size of the change in the conductivity of the tube 4 and thus also the generated and emitted energy.
If a telephone is installed at points 21, 22 23, 24, 25, then with resounding transmission and with high frequency it is always heard when the natural wave deviates slightly from the received wave (heterodyne ). Even telephony can be intercepted in this way. if the eigenwave is not disturbing. is chosen. .
It can be seen that the microphone is located in the line at points where the amplitude of the transmitted oscillation can be influenced, while the telephone is located at points where increased currents flow, namely in the lines of the anode circuit or the grid circuit, if the the latter is fed back to the anode circuit and therefore receives considerable energy from the anode circuit.
Obviously, the receiving energy is also fed to the discharge vessel on the anode side, since switching does not take place, and the inventive knowledge also lies in the fact that such an effective influence on a discharge vessel by incoming vibrations is also possible because the latter is the Anode circuit are supplied.
A circuit for voice transmission is specifically shown in FIG. For this purpose, a battery 16 and a microphone 17 are connected to the terminals 14, 15 of the coil 13. LI 'If you speak into the microphone, voltage fluctuations occur at the terminals of the coil 13,
which act on the grid 9 and affect the amplitude of the generated uncompromised vibrations according to the speech. The battery 16 may otherwise be absent, since the resistance fluctuations of the microphone themselves also cause a more or less strong short circuit of the coil 13 and result here from an amplitude influence. The effect is better using battery power; , but this current can also be taken from the batteries 3 or 7 ent.
It should be noted that the coil 13 influences the frequency of the entire lattice oscillation circuit. In order to avoid distortion, a suitable choice of the self-induction of the coil 13 respectively. of the resistance of the outer circuit connected to terminals 1.4, 15, it is ensured that the frequency fluctuations of the grid circle do not exceed a few percent.
The circuit has the advantage that the amplitudes of the antenna vibrations can be strongly influenced with very little energy. A telephone can, for example, be at point 22), but also at another point as shown in FIG. 1.
If a capacitor is used instead of the coil 13, care must be taken. that the conductive connection between the grid 9 and the cathode 3 is not canceled, otherwise charges of the capacitor occur, which cause suspension of the vibrations. Using capacitors, as shown in FIG. 4, it can be switched. The sound resp. Speech vibrations are fed to the grid circle, for example by means of a transformer 18. The capacitor connected into the grid circle instead of coil 1.3 is divided into two parts 19, 20 here. However, only one of them need be present.
For the low-frequency sound or Voice vibrations act the capacitors 11, 19 and 20 as relatively high resistances. The voltage fluctuation originating from the transformer 18 therefore has its full effect on the grid 9. The metallic connection between the grid 9 and the cathode 2 then exists on the way via the secondary winding of the transformer 18. In this secondary winding of the transformer 18, the high-frequency oscillation of the circuit 1.0 does not penetrate because of the high self-induction. However, special choke coils can also be arranged.
On the other hand, the low-frequency voltage resulting from the transformer 18 cannot penetrate into the resonant circuit 10 because of the small unit of the capacitances present there. The high-frequency and low-frequency voltages therefore act completely independently of one another on the grid, but add their effects here. By connecting a telephone, for example at 22, to the anode circuit, sound reception or heterodyne reception can easily be carried out, as in the first example.
