Description

Radiateur.

Radiator. The present invention relates to a radiator intended to cool the water necessary for cooling the cylinder heads of explosion engines, the radiator comprising a reservoir see collector of the water to be cooled and a reservoir see collector of the cooled water, these two collecting tanks communicating with each other by means of a demon unit radiating cooling table constituted on the one hand by water conduits inside which a screen is arranged. dams intended to increase the length of the circuit of the liquid stream, said cooling member being constituted, on the other hand,

by heat-conducting strips placed between said water pipes intended to increase the cooling surface.

The accompanying drawing gives by way of example one embodiment of the object of the present invention.

Fig. 1 is a half-front view with a half-view in section, FIG. 2 is a sectional view along the line A-B - of FIG. 1, FIG. â is a sectional view along the broken line C-D of FIG. 1. This radiator has a reservoir with a neck for the water to be cooled and a reservoir with a collector for cooled water.

The tank a is connected by a pipe c to the supply pipe for the water heated by the cylinder head of the internal combustion engine.

The tank b is connected by a pipe d to the pipe bringing the water cooled by the radiator to the cylinder head of the internal combustion engine. In the tank a is provided a cap e for filling with water which has the effect of cooling the cylinder head of the internal combustion engine.

The tanks a and b held by the sides f. Are fixed to the chassis of the vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine by means of supports g.

These two reservoirs a and b communicate with each other by means of a removable cooling unit by radiating constituted, on the one hand, by water pipes h inside which is dis posed a screen i, provided with dams 3 intended to increase the length of the circuit of the liquid stream. These pipes h are in communication through their upper part to a collector k and through their part. lower than. a collector 1.

The cooling unit is formed on the other hand by thermo-conductive strips m placed between the water pipes A and intended to increase the cooling surface.

The removable cooling member is fixed to the tanks a and b by means of bolts n, which are hollowed out at o and provided on their side with an opening p, which has the effect of ensuring the passage of water from the tank see a to tubes la and from these to tank b.
