Carburetors for internal combustion engines. The drawing shows parts of Ausfüh approximately examples of the subject invention.
The main air occurs in the Ausführungsbei game according to Fig. 1 at a in the main air nozzle D, which sits approximately at its narrowest point a built-in cross tube A be, from which a mixture of liquid fuel and atomizing air in when operating with a loaded engine at Zia the main stream of air passing by at high speed.
This mixture is formed in the mixing tube B, to which the liquid fuel flows from the float housing E from b and the atomizing air from the open air from c: The amount of liquid fuel is determined by the hole in the insert b1, which is determined by the screw b 'in the mixing tube B is held. The insert b1 and the screw b2 could also form one piece.
The amount of atomizing air to flow from the open air at c is determined by the hole in the insert b3, which is held in the mixing tube B by the screw b4. Parts b3 and b 'could also form one piece.
At e, the mixture of fuel and atomizing air flows to the cross tube A, which has a bore at m, the exit point of which is slightly higher than that at rest through the. Float S set fuel surface s-s. The cross-section of the outlet opening at m can be dimensioned so generously that the gasifier can be operated with a wide variety of fuels and on different engines without the cross tube A having to be replaced.
On the other hand, the mixing tube B can easily be unscrewed and the inserts with the bores, which control the quantities of liquid fuel and atomizing air, are specially selected, used and tried out for each engine and each fuel, with no fuel from the stand at rest Float housing can flow out, and carburetor fires due to escaping fuel can be avoided during the test.
While the engine is starting and idling, the fuel-atomizing air mixture can, after passing through the cross pipe A., pass through the channel d to the idle nozzle C and through the nozzle bore l into the mixing chamber 11I of the carburetor near the end of the throttle device, to ensure safe idle operation.
For each engine and fuel, the width of the bore l of the idle nozzle C must be tried out, which is why the idle nozzle C is easy to replace. At z the mixture flows to the cylinders of the engine.
In Fig. 2, an embodiment of the new carburetor with an inclined cross pipe: 1 and a arranged inside this pipe, (easily removable mixing tube D is shown. A cavity ZV is between the main air nozzle D and the float housing, which is from a. Heiz - medium (warm cooling water or exhaust gas) can flow through in order to be able to use some fuels (e.g.
Benzene and alcohol) to improve the gasification and evaporation and thus the mixture formation.
Fig. 3 shows a third game Ausführungsbei, which is only through a different shape and arrangement of the pipe: 1 of the exemplary embodiment according to'Fig. 1 differs.
All uses of the carburetor for fuel atomization air and idle nozzle could be made externally completely the same as normal pieces, which differ from each other only by the width of the bore.
The access of the fuel to the idle nozzle C could also take place directly from the float housing L, especially for less volatile fuels, but some atomizing air must then be added to this fuel before it enters the main air flow through a special small hole in the idle nozzle, see above that a mixture of fuel and air enters the main air stream.
