Method and device for renewing electric incandescent lamps. The renewal of the filament in burned out electric light bulbs have opposed difficulties in implementation in the previous process. With the known methods, the filament was brought into the bulb through an opening at the tip of the bulb in bow-shaped pieces in order to then cement it to the holder and electrodes, or an attempt was made to spin the filament into the interior of the bulb on the support frame and have it Finally, since this work was time-consuming and practically too difficult, the glass bulb was divided in order to later, after renewing the light wire,
to melt back together.
The present method overcomes these difficulties. In the following, an embodiment of the same is described, based on the drawing, which shows from exemplary embodiments of a device for implementing the method.
As is well known, the pear is opened at the tip, the upper, weak thread hooks are bent downwards to the glass stem, the old thread remnants removed. In order to remove the fogging inside the glass bulb, an annular air cushion h (Fig. 2) in conjunction with a rubber bag j is brought into the inside of the bulb and placed over the support frame. After air has been blown in, this cushion seals the support frame from the rest of the glass bulb in the lower part of the bulb, so that the lamp can now be rinsed without damaging the holder. After drying, the air is removed from the pillow and the protective cover is removed.
The pneumatic application device for the light wire is then mounted on the glass bulb (Fig. 1). The same has a number of hooks b which are resiliently or movably mounted on a ring a outside the bulb and protrude through the opening at the tip of the lamp into the interior thereof. By means of a ring-shaped air cushion c, on which the hooks rest, the same are brought into the required position by blowing in or letting out air.
To adjust the hook b in the direction of the pear nose, for the purpose of determining the Leuchtdrahtlä ge, resilient adjusting screws e located in the ring a are used with flexible like f, while the hooks b are pressed against the air cushion by an annular spring spiral d. Now the filament is placed on the bracket in a known manner and attached to the electric.
Once this is done, the bulb, axially adjustable at the base and held so that it conducts electricity, with its opening into the mercury bath of the glow or. Formvorrich device (Fig. 3) immersed, the overflow pipe cuts off with the mercury level. The forming device consists essentially of a glass bowl Z, in the middle of which there is an overflow pipe. A tube a is led through this to the base of the lamp and compressed inert gas is passed through it.
The air displaced by the gas is drawn off through the nozzle. As soon as a fume test shows that the lamp no longer contains air, the lamp is charged with electricity and, when the light wire glows, some air is let out of your pillow to tighten it. After this formation, the pear is placed on the adjusting screws and gently pressed against them. Since the cores f give resiliently, the hooks are lifted off the filament by the spring d. Now the air is removed from the pillow, whereby the hooks that have become free lie on the pear wall.
After removing the application device, the bent hooks of the glass stem are brought to rest in the brackets of the luminous wire, whereupon the bulb is evacuated in the known manner and the lamp is completed.
