Description

  Au dessin annexé, donnéà titre d'exemple:  La     fig.   1 est     une    vue en élévation d'une  forme d'exécution de la voiturette suivant       Finvention   ;  La     fig.    2 en est une vue en plan cor  respondante;    La     fig.   3 montre de face une construction  de pignon roue libreà chaîne',     cliquets    et  rochets, monté sur l'essieu arrière;

    La fig. 4 en est une vue de profil, Les fig. 5 à 12 montrent diff éren te s'autres formes d'exécution pour le dispositifà roue libre.

       powered cart with arms and legs. The present invention relates to a cart having the elongated shape of a racing skiff, with propulsion by the arms and the legs, in which the rear axle is wedged by means of a device < B> freewheeling by a rotary control element, arranged to be actuated in one direction by a flexible traction member provided with traction handles. It is particularly remarkable for the fact that that this rotary control element is automatically actuated in the opposite direction per year minus an elongated elastic member extending over a large part of the length of the vehicle frame.

  One of the advantages of this arrangement is that it allows the rational development of muscular effort, whatever the strength of the driver.

  In the appended drawing, given  to  by way of example: FIG.  1  is a view in elevation of an embodiment of the cart according to the invention ;  FIG. 2 is a corresponding plan view; Fig.  3  shows from the front a freewheel  chain  sprocket construction, pawls and ratchets, mounted on the rear axle;

    Fig. 4 is a side view, FIGS. 5 to 12 show diff eren te other embodiments for the to freewheeling device.

  As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the cart shown has two long gerons 1 on which a floor 2 rests. These longitudinal members form the frame which affects the elongated shape racing skiff; on this chassis are mounted the front and rear axles carrying the wheels of the cart.

  Under the floor 2, between the two long gerons 1 and resting on them by two bars, fixed at their ends are placed two tubes 4 s 'extending over a large portion of the length of the cart. Then, each of these tubes 4 is mounted a return spring 3 of equal length. The front ends of the two springs are integral with a slide 5 which can slide on the tubes 4. TJa chain 7 fixed to this slide by all appropriate means is supported by a pulley 9 and comes into motion with the freewheel pinion 10 mounted at the central part of the rear axle.

   The other end of the. chain 7 is connected to a flexible steel cable 12 which returns to the front of the cart in passing over a pulley Il. This cable passes through the floor in an opening in which is placed a pulley 16, and its end is provided with two pull handles 13 .

  The front axle is mounted on a pivot and is connected by two rods 15 to the steering bar 6 also mounted on a pivot. This bar 6 allows not only the direction, but also the movement of the legs in an overall movement of the arms and legs in roof points similar to that of a rower , and this by means of the so-called -à glis sière 8 seat mounted on casters or rollers.

  The propulsion of the cart is obtained, as it should be said, by the complete movement of the rower. A this effect, the driver is seated on the seat 8, as close as possible to the front of the cart at the start, i.e. from the bar 6, on which it places both feet with the legs bent.

   Then, leaning his chest forward, he grasps with both hands, arms outstretched, the two handles 13, and then pulls to him the cable 12 operating by the chain < B> 7 the freewheel pinion 10 and this by means of these cogs, while it pushes with the feet on the bar 6, until % that the legs 8are completely straight and that both hands, , thanks to the spacing of the two handles 13 exceed his chest, cry back.

   In this complete movement, the return springs 3 compress and, then resuming their original position, when the slide seat is at full rear race, return the two handles to their starting position. The movement is then repeated and successively while the advancement of the vehicle occurs.

  It is understood that the invention is not limited to the embodiment which has just been described. Thus the freewheel pinion 10 mounted at the central part of the rear axle can be replaced by any other to wheel device. free, that the cart can be with two drivers and be equipped with a propulsion device comprising, in consequence, two independent freewheel gears, that the return springs can be replaced by extenders rubber or other material etc.

   -A by way of example, it should be noted more specifically that one can adapt to the cart, depending on the case, one of the following types of device with freewheel: a) A freewheel pinion 17 (fig. 3 and 4) with chain, fitted two ratchets 18 and two pawls 19; b) -A freewheel pinion 20 (fig. 5 and 6) to chain, fitted with a clutch nut 21.

    a spring 22 with stop collar 23; c) A double freewheel pinion 24 (fig. 7 and 8) used in the case of a two-driver cart and whose two independent gears are each mounted.

   by means of a free wheel movement, on a part 25 integral with the rear axle-, d) An idler pulley with three grooves 26 (fig. 9 and 10) fitted with ratchets 27 with eliquets 28, whose central groove is reserved for the traction cable "DO and whose wider lateral grooves are reserved for exten.seurs 29, performing the same function as the return springs 3.

  The small 26 pulley has only two grooves, one for winding a rubber extender, the other for the corresponding unwinding of the traction cable and vice versa. The elastic exterior and the traction cable are fixed to the bottom of each groove by means of a hook or any other suitable organ allowing their interchangeability. This system allows the creation of a three-wheeled cart, the front wheel being steered.

  e) An idle pulley 31 (fi &. 11 and 12) with a single groove, fitted with ratchets 32 </ B > with ratchets 33, on which the traction cable, fixed by one of its ends to the return springs or to the extenders, is wound up several turns, while at its other end are fixed the two handles 13.
