La fig. 1 est une vite en bout de ce rou leau; La fig. 2 en est un plan partiel; La fig. 3 est une coupe transversale et schématique d'une partie du tissu,à plus grande échelle; La fig. 4 est une vue d'une pièce de tissu, avec parties arrachées; La fig. 5 est une vue analogue en perspec tive; La fig. 6 est une vue du col terminé; La fig. 7 montre la matière de découper un col dans une pièce de tissu; La fig. 8 montre ce col découpé;
The object of the present invention comprises a turn-down collar and a method for its manufacture. The inner and outer parts of this collar have several layers of fabric connected to each other during weaving, the part of the fabric forming the outer part of the collar being woven with greater tension than the part of the fabric forming the inner part. of the collar.
According to the process which is the subject of the invention, the difference in tension of the warp threads in the different parts of the fabric intended to form the inner and outer parts during the neck of the weaving,
obtained on by a passing roller presenting this fabric 'parts of different diameters.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the neck as well as a roller serving to stretch the fabric during weaving.
Fig. 1 is a quick end of this roll; Fig. 2 is a partial plan; Fig. 3 is a cross section and schematic of part of the fabric, to on a larger scale; Fig. 4 is a view of a piece of fabric, with parts broken away; Fig. 5 is a similar perspective view; Fig. 6 is a view of the finished pass; Fig. 7 shows the material of cutting a collar from a piece of fabric; Fig. 8 shows this cutout collar;
Fig. 9 shows the finished collar ready to to be folded.
During the manufacture of the fabric by which the collar is to be manufactured, the latter is subjected on different parts to different tensions. This is obtained (fig. 1 and 2) by means of an extension roller f of the mftier, this roller having annular grooves arranged so to f ormer on it parts h lower than the y parts. So when the fabric passes over this roll, bands a and b are formed on it corresponding respectively to the parts h and g. These bands a. and b are connected to each other by intermediate parts c integral with them.
These bands formed on the lis-sée part can ensinte as indicated to in fig. 7.
The parts c of Ja, a piece of fabric, are those on which the fold of the collar must form when the inner and outer parts of the latter have been cut respectively in strip a and strip < B> b. A.in order to facilitate the formation of this fold, the, texture of this part c is different, i.e. weaker than that of parts a and b.
With reference to in fig. 3, this texture is established as follows.
Parts a and b of the fabric each have three layers. In part c the warp yarns n of the middle layer are halved as a number, compared to the number of those of each upper and lower layer. Weft threads iii. of the middle layer pass straight without being interlaced with threads n to through part c. The fact that the threads of the middle layer of this latter part are not interlaced helps decrease the stiffness of the fabric and facilitate the formation of the fold.
The parts a b c are represented in plan and in perspective in figs. 4 and 5.
The part b of each strip of fabric comprising parts a b and c being formed on a-. part of a roll with a diameter larger than part a ,, the warp yarns of this first part are longer, over a space comprising the same number of weft yarns, than those of part a. So if we put a similar part (fig. 7) to pJa1; - # the part c will follow a curved line.
To prepare a neck, cut from a piece such as that shown to in fig. 7, following the dotted line x, shape a neck in such a way that the inside to ' of the latter is cut from a strip a and the outer part b ' in strip b (fig. 8), the fold to be formed on part c. < / B> We then establish an edge d on the shape thus cut out and we form button holes e.
The pass is then finished and when the two parts a, and 1), are folded one over Faufre, it takes (the nth la, l 'elm represented Ît, filg. 1; by le causes that they are children of parish string b' </ B > are longer than those of the W.
On the fi ,,. 3. 4 and 5 of the drawing the width of the part c is exaggerated, for more for clarity. In reality, it preseriles just the width necessary to allow folding.
follow the thickness of the fabric of parts a and b. If part e is wider than what is strictly necessary for the formation of the fold, it tends to to sag when wearing the collar, particularly if it is moistened by perspiration.
As the parts c of the piece key tissii (fig. 2) are established in a -Û way, allow the folding, the texture of the parts a and b < / B> can be executed so that these parts have enough rigidity that the. collar curved shape without staring. The different layers forming the fabric can be made using threads of different materials.
