Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung künstlicher Gebilde aus Viskose. Man kann bekanntlich künstliche Fäden, Bänder, Films, Platten und dergleichen her stellen, indem man Viskose durch entspre chend geformte Öffnungen in eine Erstar- rungsflüssigkeit, in der Technik Fällbad ge- rtannt, eintreten lässt. Als solche Fällbäder werden in der Regel freie Mineralsäure ent haltende Lösungen von Sulfaten, Bisulfaten, Sulfiten usw. verwandt.
Neuerdings ist in der britischen Patent- selirift Nr. 145629 vorgeschlagen worden, Sulfitzellulosea.blauge, -und zwar vorzugs weise Natronsulfitzelluloseablauge, an Stelle der genannten Salzlösungen in Mischung mit einer entsprechenden Menge freier Säure oder sa,urer Salze zu verwenden.
Die in der Sulfit- zelluloseablauge enthaltenen Stoffe enistam- men der eigentlichen Holzsubstanz und dürften als Sulionsäuren, "%-lde-Ilydsulfite und dergleichen ihre günstige Wirkung auf den Fällungsprozess ausüben.
Es wurde nun ge funden, dass auch in der Rinde und den Na deln von Koniferen Stoffe, und zwar wasser lösliche Stoffe, wahrscheinlich Coniferin und ihm nahestehende Verbindungen, enthalten sind, die im Fällbad, an Stelle von Salzen angewandt, Zellulosegebilcle von technisch hervorragenden Eigenschaften ergeben. Ihre Isolierung ist nicht notwendig; vielmehr ge nügt es, wenn man Reisig oder Rinde von Koniferen einige Stunden mit Wasser aus kocht und den so gewonnenen Absud mit 31ineralsäuren oder sauren Salzen ansäuert und als Fällbad verwendet.
Beispielsweise kocht man Tannenreisig drei Stunden mit oder ohne Druck mit Was ser, lässt die dunkelbraune, emulsionsartige, tiübe Flüssigkeit ablaufen, dampft sie.. wenn nötig, auf<B>3</B> bis<B>5</B> Graci- B6 ein und setzt zu<B>90</B> Teilen des Absuds <B>8</B> bis<B>10</B> Teile Schwefelsäure von<B>60</B> Grad B6 hinzu.
Hier bei nimmt die Flüssigkeit eine hellbraune Farbe an und ist alsdann fertig- zum Ge brauch als Fällbad. Von grossem Vorteil ist es, dass dieser Bestandteil des Fällbades aus dem überall erhältlichen Reisig g oder der Rinde von Koniferen jederzeit von den Ver brauchern selbst herzustellen ist und dass, wie sieh gezeigt hat, bei seiner Verwendung weniger Wert auf die, genau-,
Einhaltung einer bestimmten Reifezeit für die Viskose gelegt zu werden braucht. Auch zeichnen sich# so hergestellte Zellulosegebilde, wie etwa künstliche Fäden, durch gleichmässiges Anfärben auch in helleren Tönungen, hohe Elastizität und grosse Zerreissfestigkeit aus. t3
Process for the production of artificial structures from viscose. As is known, artificial threads, ribbons, films, plates and the like can be produced by allowing viscose to enter through appropriately shaped openings into a solidification liquid, known in the art as a precipitation bath. As a rule, solutions of sulfates, bisulfates, sulfites, etc. containing free mineral acid are used as such precipitation baths.
Recently, it has been proposed in British Patent Selirift No. 145629 to use sulphite cellulose liquor, preferably sodium sulphite cellulose waste liquor, instead of the salt solutions mentioned in a mixture with a corresponding amount of free acid or acidic salts.
The substances contained in the sulphite cellulose waste liquor originate from the actual wood substance and are likely to have a beneficial effect on the precipitation process in the form of sulionic acids, lde-Ilydsulphites and the like.
It has now been found that the bark and needles of conifers also contain substances, namely water-soluble substances, probably coniferin and its related compounds, which, when used in the precipitation bath, instead of salts, are cellulose substances with technically excellent properties surrender. Their isolation is not necessary; Rather, it is sufficient to boil the sticks or bark of conifers with water for a few hours and acidify the decoction obtained in this way with mineral acids or acidic salts and use it as a precipitation bath.
