Machine rotative.
Fig. 4 est une élévation de face, prise à gauche du côté du compresseur et à droite du côté du moteur; Fig. 5 est une coupe longitudinale, avec partie en élévation latérale, faite suivant la ligne brisée 5-5 de fig. 6; Fig. 6 est une coupe transversale faite suivant la ligne brisée 6-6 de fig. 5; Fig. 7 à 9 sont des vues de détail mou tra.nt àspart une palette, en élévation (fig. <B>7)</B> et en coupe, réciproquement suivant les- lignes 8-8 de fig. 9 et 9-9 de fig. 8;
Rotary machine. The subject of the invention is a rotary machine which can operate by means of any fluid or any gas mixture, characterized by a rotor comprising a series of radial vanes carried by a shaft arranged in the axis of the stator, and a eccentric drum carried at the end of a motor shaft arranged parallel to the shaft of the vanes, the connection between these vanes and these drums being such that each sealed chamber, delimited by the inner surface of revolution of the stator, this drum,
and two consecutive paddles gradually pass from a maximum volume to a minimum volume and vice versa, uncovering or alternately closing off all the lights necessary for the operation of the machine at each revolution of the motor shaft.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention.
The first embodiment (fig. 1 to 3) represents the object of the invention functioning as a compressor.
Fig. 1 is a cross section thereof, FIG. 2, a longitudinal section, taken along the line 2--2 of fig. 1, and Fig. 3, a detail view in section taken along line 3--3 of FIG. 1.
The second form (fig. 4 to 11) represents two twin rotary machines, one working as a compressor and Vautra as a prime mover, while the group works as an internal combustion engine.
Fig. 4 is a front elevation, taken to the left of the compressor side and to the right of the engine side; Fig. 5 is a longitudinal section, part in side elevation, taken along the broken line 5-5 of FIG. 6; Fig. 6 is a cross section taken along the broken line 6-6 of FIG. 5; Fig. 7 to 9 are views of soft detail starting from a pallet, in elevation (fig. <B> 7) </B> and in section, reciprocally along lines 8-8 of fig. 9 and 9-9 of fig. 8;
Fig. 10 and 11 are detail views showing the drum apart, FIG. 10 in front elevation with part in cross section and fig. 11 in longitudinal section, taken along line 11-11 of FIG. 10.
In the first form (fig. 1 to 3), the machine works as a compressor. The casing forming the frame is formed by a cylindrical envelope of revolution. a and by two opposite end cheeks d and c.
inside this stator is mounted a rotor comprising four vanes f of flattened shape which follow the shape of the longitudinal half-section of the interior vacuum of the stator and an eccentric drum g. One of the pallets f is fixed to a central collar f2 keyed at f3 on a shaft h, the other three are fixed by means of pins f 'to three pairs of collars f2 mounted freely on this shaft, on either side of the collar keyed.
The pallet f, integral with the rotation of the shaft h, drives the other three with lost movement via the eccentric drum g. The mechanical connection between each pallet and the drum is made by means of two pieces forming a ball joint i which fit in a sealed manner, by their circular faces 2, the shape of two opposite cylindrical housings g 'formed in one or verture of the drum g, and whose flattened faces i2 slide with gentle friction. along two opposite flat faces of this pallet.
The pallet support shaft is arranged in the longitudinal axis x - x of the machine, that is to say in the revolving envelope a of the stator. It is journaled, on the one hand, in a ball bearing d2, screwed in an extension d1 of the cheek d, and, on the other hand, by its cup-shaped end h1 on a ball bearing e2 , attached to the end of an extension e1 of the cheek. The eccentric drum gi rotates at the same speed as the shaft lc around a y - y axis, parallel to the x-x axis.
The eccentric drum g is journalled by each of its ends forming a hub g2 in a corresponding ball bearing bearing k, carried by each of the cheeks <I> d </I> and e.
The ball bearings k are adjusted respectively by means of an adjusting ring d3 operating inside the extension d 'of the cheek d, and a ring e3 operating inside the extension e1 of the cheek e .
The end of the drum forming the right-hand hub g2 (fig. 1) is extended to g3 and is connected by means of four screws g4 to four arms bent at right angles g ', carried at the end of the motor shaft y <B> '</B> of the compressor which is exposed in the y - y axis.
In the cup-shaped end h1 of the shaft h are formed four openings h2 to allow the four arms fi 'to pass. The section of these openings is calculated large enough to allow the radial displacements of the brag g5 relative to the shaft 1a.
The seal between the outer ends of the vanes f and the cylindrical surface of the stator is provided by rectilinear segments l and that between the lateral faces of the eccentric drum g and the cheeks d and e of the stator by two pairs of annular segments the. The sealing between the paddles <I> f </I> and the drum <I> g </I> is ensured by any suitable gasket (not shown) fixed on the parts forming a ball joint i.
7n and n. respectively indicate the entry and exit of the cooling water from the sta tor, and o communication lights for the circulation of this cooling water between the casing <I> a </I> and the cheeks <I > d </I> and e.
The admission of the fluid which is to be compressed is made by two ports p and its exhaust clans la. pressurized pipe (not shown) by the light cq. The pallet support shaft lz is extended on the side of the compressor opposite the motor shaft gC for the purpose of lubrication.
The operation is easy to understand. The motor shaft g 'drives, through the intermediary of the drum y the vanes f, which, by turning in the direction of the arrow, alternately discover the intake ports <I> p </I> and d' exhaust q. Due to the eccentricity of the driving drum g, each pair of two successive vanes f forms the opposing side walls which can be separated from a rotary compression chamber of a variable volume, maximum in relation to the inlet lights p and minimum next to the, escape light q, and passing through all the intermediate values.
The second embodiment (fig. 4 to 10) shows two rotary machines A and B coupled so as to function as an internal combustion engine. The compressor element A serves to compress the fluid acting on the motor element B. The frame of the group comprises, as in the previous form, a cylindrical casing a and two opposite end cheeks d and e, but, in this shape, the envelope a is in two parts separated by an annular partition b arranged between the two elements A and B.
Inside each of the two twin stators thus formed is mounted the same rotor comprising four vanes f and an eccentric drum g, which differs from that of the first embodiment only by the shape of the vanes and their connection. au tam bour.
The two drums g have at their inner end threaded retracting shoulders g7, which are screwed into one another through the annular wall b, so as to make the two drums and, consequently, the two rotors integral of the movement of the motor shaft g6.
The connection between the vanes f and each of the drums g is made in the same way in the compressor A and in the engine B by means of butt pistons i3 sliding inside each vane. Each of these pistons i "is carried by an axis i. ', Fixed to the corresponding drum g by means of rings i" and bolts i'.
The pallets have, in this embodiment, the shape shown in fig. 7 and the cross section shown in fig. 9.
The seal between the vanes f and the drum g is ensured by 1J linings fixed on the axes i 'by means of che cities i3.
The fluid that is to be compressed enters the compressor A through the intake openings p formed in the casing a, and a spring under pressure through the ports p 'controlling its admission into the engine B. q' indicates the combustion gas exhaust opening and replacement of a spark plug.
The operation of the compressor is the same in this form as in the first, except that the compressed fluid, instead of escaping in a pressurized pipe, is admitted directly into the engine through the ports p '.
The operation of the motor is as follows: While rotating, the four working chambers delimited by the vanes f, the drum g and the stator of the motor element B gradually pass from their maximum volume to their minimum and vice-versa. versa by uncovering and alternately closing off the intake and C: exhaust and ignition lights at each revolution of the g6 motor shaft.
The invention can also be applied to a rotary machine operating as a motor supplied by a compressor of an ordinary type, or receiving its fluid fuel <B> 1 1 </B> through an orifice such as the intake gases. tion are entrained inside the chambers of variable volume, thanks to a vacuum produced in these chambers by the exhaust of the burnt gases.
The ignition device can. also be an incandescent ignition device.
