Abstract

Una composición nutricional para infantes que comprende una fuente de proteína, una fuente de lípido y una fuente de carbohidrato, en donde la fuente de lípido incluye de 18 a 30% de ácido linoléico y de 6 a 11 % de ácido alfa-linolénico, expresado como un porcentaje de contenido total de ácido graso en cada caso y en cantidades tales que la relación de ácido linoléico: ácido alfa-linolénico está en el rango desde 1 hasta 10. También se divulga el uso de la composición para preparar una composición nutricional adecuada para reducir el riesgo de desarrollo de obesidad o sobrepeso más tarde en la vida.
